    Ryu was scared by the Giant Bird when it re-appeared, so he yelped in surprise and dove under Kenny for cover. Kenny noticed this and started to speak. "Ryu, what's gotten int-" Kenny then stopped as he realized just what was going on, and he got somewhat upset. "Guys, that Monster is a Flying Type GAO! No wonder Ryu is scared out of his mind!" Kenny then turned to Eve and Ryu. "Eve, go help Infantry and Salem defeat that monster! Ryu, get out there and help Eve, Infantry, and Salem in any way you can! Both of you, give it all you've got!" Both of Kenny's GAOs nodded, although Ryu did so somewhat reluctantly, and then all three of them prepared for Battle. Eve went next to Infantry and Salem, and prepared to place her paws on both of them. Kenny then yelled out to the Cadets and Soldiers. "I think that this Monster is a Dual Flying and Ice Type, so this is most likely your time to shine, those of you who have Fire, Electric, Steel, and especially those of you who have Rock Type GAOs! We cannot let this base fall!" Kenny then looked up at the Creature. a fire of rage burned in his eyes. I will get rid of you, and then I'll find the ones who unleashed you on the Base, and get rid of Them, too. Kenny then went next to Surge and Ray, turned to the gathered troops, and yelled out the following phrase: "I WILL STAND AND FIGHT THIS ABOMINATION ALONGSIDE SURGE AND RAY! WHO'S WITH US?!" he then turned back towards the Bird, aimed at it with his Rifle, and then emptied his clip at it, and reloaded. ------------------------------------------------------------------- MOVES USED: Eve (100% HP left): Helping Hand

    Kenny saw Byron fall unconscious, and moved the lower End of the Portal under Byron, teleporting him into the treetops near Kenny. Kenny then used his Healing Power on Byron, glowing turquoise and getting a headache in the process. He still toughed it out, but the strain of keeping them safe was starting to wear him down. The Portal and Barriers then Collapsed, letting a Torrent of the Loving Dead surge towards the Tree.

    "Ryu, defend us from those oncoming GAOs that get too close for comfort! Eve, you help the other GAOs defend us! I'll try to keep them at bay long enough for the rest of us to get out of here!" And with that, the three of them joined the defending forces. Kenny checked his rifle to see if it was loaded (Which it was), Turned off the Safety, Aimed, and then fired his rifle repeatedly at the oncoming waves of enemy forces, Ryu stayed close to and defended the Defenders from the Enemy GAOs that got too close, glowing Orange, and Eve prepared to place her paw on Ace.

    Kenny stopped for a second, and thought to himself. Heh, maybe I shouldn't be so hasty to get to the mountain. I should stay with the group, because that's probably the only way we'll survive. And with that, Kenny went back over to Theo, Nivia, and Blaze, resuming his conversation from earlier. "Blaze, I see that you and I both have some sort of Adornment that looks like it came from someone close to us. I know my bracelet is, because my trainer got it for me on the First Anniversary of our Journey's Beginning. When this craziness started, he was lost to a rift, and I was powerless to save him. I'm still hoping he's alive... What about your Armband? who'd you get it from?" with that, Kenny put forward his arm that had his Bracelet on it, showing it to Blaze.

    OK, then. I'll simply have my OC focus on helping beat away the waves of enemy GAOs for now. [EDIT]: Bibarel, we've moved from the "Beat 'em away" stage of defending Ft. Bexly to the "Boss Battle" stage of the Defending the Fort. (The Battle against Articuno has begun.)

    I'd like it if i could at least help out. perhaps once the battle is over, someone could tell my OC about the sensing abilities of the Riolu/Lucario line. (Hint hint, my OC hasn't been told about it because the need never surfaced.) also, is it OK if my OC gives the other Cadets some info on what they can do to help out?

    jory was the second to arrive at the front entrance. "Hey, what's going on?! Are we under attack?" Jory then Released Sampson. "I don't know, but we've got to get out of here, whatever it is! If it can send the Army into Alert Mode, it's Very serious!" this was evidenced by the fact that Ryu, who was usually more agressive than usual in the Cold Weather, was nervous in this snowstorm.

    Kenny had just finished healing his Partners when the alarm sounded. "CODE CRYO! I REPEAT, CODE CRYO! THIS IS A PRIORITY ONE THREAT! FORT BEXLY IS IN DANGER OF DESTRUCTION! ALL SQUADRONS AND ABLE BODIED INDIVIDUALS, REPORT TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE! I REPEAT, ALL SQUADRONS AND ABLE BODIED INDIVIDUALS REPORT TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE!" Upon hearing this alert, Kenny yelled to his GAOs. "RYU, EVE, LET'S GET OUT OF HERE!" The three of them then promptly sprinted to the front entrance, arriving there before anyone else.

    *Reappears behind Notus because of the fact that I head the "Dead Ringer" Equipped and Active, and i promptly use my "Eyelander" to tauntkill Notus after i reappear* "You can't beat me that way!" *Refills and re-activates the "Dead Ringer"* (STILL KING! Good luck getting past me. :Kappa:)

    Thanks for the Idea! *Causes the Hill, which is actually a Supervolcano in disguise, to Erupt, causing a Megatsunami in the process, killing everyone and getting rid of the Ocean in the process* *Respawns* "oops." (I AM KING!)

    huh. there's more of us than just us five out there. well, safety in numbers. "I'm definitely joining your cause. I'm Kenny, and what i've discovered so far of my powers is Manipulation of Electromagnetic fields given off by living things. I've only been able to create a Barrier around myself or create a short-ranged Sphere or Beam using those fields, however. Would you like me to show you what i mean right now, wait until we get back to base to demonstrate, or should i not show my Powers until they're needed?"

    Kenny saw what they were doing, and then he jumped onto the ground, Charging as he fell. He landed right next to Byron, readied an Aura Sphere, glowing indigo in the process, and helped out by first parting the creatures with the Aura Sphere, and then creating two barriers right next to each other in the middle of the gap that he had cleared out, then pushing said barriers apart, creating a safe Pathway for the members of the group who were still on the ground to get to the portal and into the trees. "Follow me!" Kenny then jumped into his own Portal, geting a big headache in the process, but he toughed it out and kept the Barriers up and the Portal open.

    "Well, you know what they say: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. In this case, our common enemy is the Monsters that come out at night. I'm calling a temporary truce. I'm pretty sure that once things star up on the ground,-" Kenny paused for a second, then resumed. "Please pardon the unintentional pun, but anyways, once things start up on the ground, All Hell will break loose if anyone goes down again."

    "Monsters? are they comparable to the Shades and the Animals from the First 'Circle', as Minos called it? Or are they worse?" Kenny shuddered at the thought of what could come for them. and the sun had gone below the horizon, too... This is bad... we've got almost no defenses against what comes along at night, and we don't even know what it is, either... Kenny then saw Annie go into the treetops. "Good idea, Annie!" he then Portaled up to the Canopy Layer of one of the taller trees, keeping it open for the rest of the group to follow. "Guys, it'll be safer in the Treetops. come through this Portal if you want to be safer than you would on the Ground." Then, he looked out from the Canopy. "By the way, the view is quite nice from up here." He then got a somewhat large Headache, but toughed it out, keeping the portal open.

    "My name is Kenny Holmes, and that's all that i'd like to let you know at this point in time." Kenny was a little wary of the newcomer, but that was usual for him.

    All of a sudden, a Woman came out of nowhere, bit her lip, and then she ran off, punched Quincy and kicked Byron, whom Kenny noticed as she ran to them. Surprisingly enough, one punch was all she needed to take down Quincy. "Guys, a woman just came out of nowhere, hurt herself, ran off to the now Two Shotgun McGees, Punched the Rat-like Shotgun McGee, and Kicked the Human Shotgun McGee. We'd best be careful not to upset her." then, Ethic spoke up, saying that they should probably negotiate with the woman. "I wholeheartedly agree with you on that bit, Ethic. If she could beat up both of the Shotgun McGees like that, I'd hate to think of what she could do to us."

    Kenny spoke to the Bidoof. "Well, I'd certainly be glad to have you along." Kenny then walked over to the deceased Hydregion, avoiding the pool of blood that surrounded it. his next words were directed towards the Hydregion. "I'm so sorry for you, even though you nearly killed me. I now know that you were just protecting your daughter and territory, and completely understand. my parents would've done the same thing for me, as would my Trainer or myself for each other. I promise to help Theo care for your child by teaching it the strongest moves i can. i may have tried to defeat you, but I never wanted to kill you, I was only protecting the group I am with." He then walked to the group, and spoke to them. "Well, we'd best get moving." After saying that, he headed off towards the Mountain.

    "I'd like to say one last thing before we depart for the Circles, and i'm not even the first to say it: 'The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions.' I find this extremely fitting in my case, as my thirst to find knowledge in order to help others would have landed me in the Fourth Circle had I died before entering this Hill. However, since we're all still alive, I can kind of compare what we're about to do with Atoning for our Sins. I am ready to begin the journey." After his speech, Kenny waited for Minos to make his move.

    Speaking of Taka and ZEL, you can two-shot the PULSE-Ts with a level 25 Litleo that knows Fire Fang. It was TOTALLY worth the Bibarel I traded it for, as I did that, and also made Julia's Gym go Boom with it at a lower level, too. I kept on two-shotting the Voltorbs of the pre-Julia Battlers! I had a Bidoof that knew Rollout for the Emolga, but I mopped the floor with the rest of Julia's team just by using the between-levels-15-and-20 Litleo in my party. I just found out about this a couple minutes ago.

    "Let's begin the Sentencing, Minos. I am eager to know what the Sentences for all of us are." Kenny then waited for Minos to speak.

    Not at all. @Murdoc, would it be OK if my PC used Surf to get around on land?

    "We'd best get ready for the next part of the Evaluation. Good luck to all of us." Kenny then turned to his GAOs. "Well done back there, you two. Let's get you healed up." He then headed over towards the Command Lobby, his GAOs following close behind him.

    Chapter 2 has only just started, and Clint has already nearly gotten in trouble. it's going to be quite the Chapter!
