  1. Trubbish is extremely useful for the first two or so Gyms because of Toxic Spikes, but its usefulness diminishes around Corey, as I've said before. I could probably keep it on board until Shelly if I really wanted to, but there'd be little point to do so any later unless I'd bred for some decent moves, at least. Pachirisu is surprisingly useful, too. Volt Absorb (or Pickup, I suppose), good bulk, and Spark/Nuzzle + Charm combo all make for a handy early option. Again, it tends to get swapped out later on, but hey, it can run laps around Taka's hell-Chatot. That's not too shabby.
  2. 28 hidden items found so far in the vicinities of Route 1. Holy crap.

    1. Vinny

I love that Itemfinder... So many items in obvious places, and in non obvious places...

Yeah, several of them were in the grass, or randomly in the middle of the floor...

    3. Lost Lore

      Lost Lore

Grand total after combing the route: 57 hidden items. And probably more I missed.

  3. ...If you have the third badge, you can just mine for them? But there are at least two in the early game. One is hidden in Peridot Ward and the other is in Obsidia Park (post-PULSE, of course). Edit: ...Y'all are ninjas, man. Serious ninjas.
  4. The rock becomes a Rock Smash rock before you beat Ditto-ceus- I don't know exactly when, but try doing the stuff at Vanhanen Castle first to trigger that event, then go check?
  5. Something more like this for Raichu, maybe? ...I don't know. I couldn't figure out what colour to use for the inside of the ears, since I can't put red unless I make it lighter, and I thought black would look weird... >>
  6. If Confuse Ray is giving you grief, you might want to catch something that can use Safeguard? Pretty sure it's a TM that's available rather early on, and it'll also do away with the odd poisoning you get from Sludge Wave. Pretty much any Psychic-type can learn it, so you probably have at least one thing that can. Obligatory mention of Light Screen weakening Sludge Wave, too- that helped me a good deal in my most recent battle against her.
  7. There are so many conspiracy theories you could form around this game, I swear... What Team Meteor is doing is actually for the greater good, in a way. The reason they're the evil party is because of how they go about it entirely- not caring whether you kill people to get what you want is despicable. I can understand the need to "fix" the City, as it has become a pretty crappy place (understatement of the century, that), but poisoning the lake and causing insane amounts of plant growth is a bit much. I don't believe that Radomus is to be entirely trusted, that aside. He's even made a point with his whole "not everything is black and white" speech to make himself look suspicious. He's also an odd sort- the way he acts makes it seem like he knows more than he's letting on. Especially considering his reaction to the Amethyst Pendant being mentioned (and he later mentions, if you sided with El, that it's very important to him- but why?) and the fact that I'm 99% sure he could have brainwashed Luna, if he really wanted to. I don't think that he actually did, but that's beside the point. And I guess I'm the only one who feels bad for Bennett? He does seem to want what's best for Luna but he's going about it in entirely the wrong way. He's doing that, though, because he trusts El on his word- he believes that she has been brainwashed. Something tells me that he would've just let her be were it not for pursuing that position in the Elite Four. Never ask me to try and collect my thoughts or you get a jumble like this... Oh, lordy....
  8. The Peridot Ward music drives me nuts ever since that nightmare fest I had hunting for a Stunky... Anyway, yeah, I'd noticed that the music for Rhodochrine Jungle and the Railnet had changed when I first set foot in the Railnet in Episode 11. I liked the original version, but the new one is so solemn and mournful... it really fits the atmosphere well. It makes me want to find an excuse to stick in the Jungle for a bit, haha... I think my favourite music track still remains the one that plays on Route 1/Aventurine Woods. There was kind of an "Ooooo" moment the first time I set foot there, and the whole Tauros riding thing fits the music perfectly, I find.
  9. If you're desperate for another Dark-type, you can also play alley tag with Zorua. Zoroark gets Night Daze from the move relearner now and is extremely fast. Those two things make pretty quick work of him. I think it appears first in the Magma Gang alleyway on a rainy night? I've found Trubbish's usefulness diminished since after like... Corey, but Toxic Spikes is pretty useful for the first two Gyms so I figure it'd work well here, too. So long as you can take a hit and manage to get up the two layers, that is. Or maybe two hits, because Rotom is a fast little thing.
  10. The event can actually be done before Shade, but that makes it significantly more difficult to complete... so I would wait until after him anyway, were I you. (Although, if you don't go through with the entire event, but get the Dull Key, you can at least catch a Pancham to help you with him. Mind you that Crunch is the best thing it gets to use there, unless you have one with Scrappy.)
  11. You're supposed to flip the two switches the Scraggy are pointing out to get it to open. There's one on either side, I think?
  12. Currently no, there isn't, so if you want Togepi, you'll have to go back, yeah.
  13. Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait to get Vulpix until you can handle it... Its event was changed because Drought was a little too good, I think. I would wait at least til around you have your third badge, later if you want to be safe. It'd be borderline impossible to beat with level 25s.
  14. There used to be one in Episode 10 (and earlier) but it was removed in 11. (Or was it 10.5?) There was a quiz that you could take in Coral Ward that, if you got all the answers correct, you'd get a Togepi egg. The house for said quiz is locked now, though.
  15. Yeah, you can- you've just gotta be lucky. Hidden abilities are just as common as regular ones in Reborn. A good way to tell is to either get a Pokemon with Trace, or stick a really speedy Pokemon up front to check for priority status moves.
  16. I would go with Moonblast- it's available so early on that Gardevoir literally wrecks everything with it. And yes, as everyone else has said, Luvdisc in Tanzan Cove are a good source of Heart Scales. If you have a fainted Pokemon with Compoundeyes at the head of your party, it also increases the chances of a wild Pokemon having an item. So combining that + a Frisk user should net you some with relative ease.
  17. Not to mention Radomus' Chess puzzle, if it ever got that far. It would certainly be a talking point, if nothing else, though. I could never do this, though. With respects to the time I've spent breeding egg moves, and grinding, my most recent file clocks out at 77 hours. And I only have 7 badges.
  18. So many hidden items in Vanhanen Labyrinth. Trolling level too high.

I hadn't been to the other end of Route 1 until now, so... didn't have it yet. Getting it now, though~

    3. Notus

When you get it, go back to Bysbysion. Absurd amount of items!

      ^ well it's a dumpster.

  19. Well, after each badge I usually grind everyone to the level cap of the previous badge, at least. ...Meaning, for example, the 8th badge raises the level cap to level 65, right? So I ended up grinding everyone to level 60, to be on par with the 7th badge's level cap. That way I'm not terribly underleveled, but also not overleveled. It's also a very good idea to train a bunch of Pokemon to be around the same level, and rotate your team around, as others have said~ Time-consuming, but worth it, in the event that something shoots over/gets a little too close to the cap for comfort.
  20. You get some slightly different text in a certain event somewhere. Otherwise, yeah, you still basically lose. ...Yeah, I know. I wasn't 100% sure that that's what the Investigation Squad meant, but that was my best guess. But that is... interesting, too. ...I am actually 90% certain that that is not Luna, but instead
  21. Your Manectric doesn't know Thunder Wave? Paralyzing that Crobat really helps slow it down, so your other Pokemon can get a hit on it, and the chance to be fully paralyzed doesn't hurt, either. If you happen to have a Heart Scale on hand, I think you can go to the move relearner for it? But that is a bit of trek, so maybe not the best idea...
  22. If they ask you to bring them a Helix Fossil, then you get a choice between the Sail and the Jaw Fossil. Or so I've heard, because I've yet to be asked to bring them anything myself... maaaaaybe I should get on my main file and go back to 7th Street... As for the Aron, I find the area Under the Grand Stairway to be good for grinding (Unown are surprisingly good experience), but I usually wait until level 20-ish for that. Before that, I grind in Jasper Ward.
  23. ...Flash is in the next episode? Giant Flash maze incoming So long as its a TM and not an HM, though, I'm cool with that. At least it won't burn up a move slot for a good quarter of the game that way... And, hey. I can't speak for anyone else, but the Gym Leaders are more involved in the story that way. And I like that. Reborn is full of colourful characters, after all~
  24. Presumably, Shade could have been trying to warn the player of what is due to happen in the future, but as the future can't be seen with full clarity, there's no real way of knowing what actually will happen. Honestly, though, I don't think his intents are malicious in the slightest. He definitely still has some hand in the plot, though- I want an explanation to the fact that

There is one more I can remember that you don't quite have access to yet- it's a hidden item in the Aventurine Woods. No idea if there are any more than that.
