Most of the time when I don't like something I can at least see why others like it

With undertale I couldn't figure it out so thought id ask

That and I am playing it along side a friend who bought it for me so I'm trying to find some enjoyment out of it other then listening to him get mad every time I kill something (which is very entertaining)

Undertale has a great narrative and unique gameplay. And of course the graphics are very fitting to the style

Also apparently people find the music to be amazing, I disagree with that point but music is kind of a taste thing anyways so *shrug*

  4. Hello challengers! This has been longgggg overdue, but due to some recent changes in a few leaders' lifestyles, we've had to come up with a slightly different schedule. So we sat down and had a quick Skype call to try and figure out what would be best suited. A brand-new schedule has been created for the new brackets we have revealed almost 2 weeks ago, and it looks like this is what we'll be going with from now on! Friday: Bracket 1: Nick/Olivia Bracket 2: Alicia/Lucifer/Ariel Bracket 3: Helen/Elliot Bracket 4: Lilly/Venus Bracket 5: Ninia Bracket 6: Dexter Saturday: Bracket 1: Nick/Olivia/Haley Bracket 2: Alicia/Lucifer/Ariel Bracket 3: Helen/Elliot/Erwin Bracket 4: Gaia/Lilly/Venus Bracket 5: Axel Bracket 6: Oliver Sunday: Bracket 1: Nick/Olivia/Haley Bracket 2: Alicia/Lucifer/Ariel Bracket 3: Erwin Bracket 4: Gaia Bracket 5: Leo Bracket 6: Festus

  13. How exactly and under what conditions did you even achieve this feat?
  14. I'm totally not trying to "steal" Gallade's job here, just seperating this from the Reborn Reader so people have a little bit more insight on the leaders. (I'll probably update this as he updates his.) Bracket One: Nicholas and the Current Badge - Electric-type Gym Leader. Nick (short for Nicholas), the Electric-type Leader in the first bracket. He was moved down from the second bracket because of his battling skills faltering, and Elliot taking over his position in that bracket after a showdown-battle. His ace is Magnezone, a trustworthy Pokémon that helps Nick out in times of desperation. Olivia and the Blossom Badge - Grass-type Gym Leader. Olivia, the Grass-type Leader in the first bracket. She has a tendency to lash out when someone angers her, but don't underestimate her, her Serperior definitely packs quite the tail punch! Haley and the Tundra Badge - Ice-type Gym Leader. Haley is Helen's slightly older, more mature sister. Most of the time, she's quiet, but once her sister even sets foot near her, she can't hold her calm voice in tone and has to yell at her sister to attempt to keep her quiet. Aurorus is dressed in the same fashion Haley is dressed, yet it has no issues with the little warmth it gets from the muffler and boots. Bracket two: Lucifer and the Void Badge, Dark-type Gym Leader. Lucifer is one of the more, dare I say sinister types, of these first 3 brackets. He always ponders about whether the world is "pure" and shuts himself off from time to time, but still shows respect to his challengers. Supposedly, Lucifer and Venus are a couple- But I'm not sure Lucifer himself is aware of this. His Hydreigon isn't afraid of what it comes across, and gladly battles for his Trainer, even in rough times. Alicia and the Remnant Badge, Ghost-type Gym Leader. Alicia enjoys spending time near the cemetaries, alongside her trusty and trick-loving Mismagius. Mismagius often hides in Alicia's shadow, since it dislikes bright light, but often stays in its Poké Ball as well. At night, I can hardly ever find Alicia around the HQ- I think she spends most the night at the cemetary a few blocks away from the HQ and either trains with Mismagius there- Or she does things I'd rather not.. Know about.. Ariel and the Regal Badge - Fairy-type Gym Leader. Ariel, the Fairy-type Leader with a sharp tone and a tendency to call people "princess" whenever xe gets upset. Xe also dislikes to be addressed as female, apparently. Xyr ace Pokémon is Sylveon, which supposedly packs quite the punch whenever it gets sent out to battle. Bracket three: Helen and the Tugtupite Badge, Rock-type Gym Leader. Loud-mouth Helen, she still doesn't know when or how to shut up when I ask her to. She's even gone as far as kidnapping my reporter! And for what reason? Her Tyrantrum needed a playmate to run through the forest with. Really, Helen? (If you didn't catch it yet, Helen's the younger sister between her and Haley.) Elliot and the Harmony Badge - Normal-type Gym Leader. Elliot is one of the most relaxed and laid-back people, trying to avoid arguments whenever possible, and hoping to raise positivity and prosperity where he goes. Ambipom is his best pal and most trusted partner, and it often keeps Elliot sharp by forcing him to focus on the opponent when Elliot's mind wanders off. Erwin and the Chrysalis Badge, Bug-type Gym Leader. Then we have Erwin, who simply loves to spend time with his trusty Galvantula and several other Bug-type Pokémon. He's commonly seen around his bug house, sketching or taking care of his Pokémon. I wonder how tough of a Leader he will bee for his challengers! Bracket Four: Gaia and the Fault Badge, Ground-type Gym Leader. Gaia is one with nature and the entire environment. She is strongly against unnatural habitats, but if it helps preserve wildlife, she turns her head and allows it. She's rather calm, distant and quiet, but a relentless battler. Her Quagsire never leaves her side, nor does it ever stay in its Poké Ball, it's clearly not Unaware of its environment. Lilly and the Typhoon Badge, Water-type Gym Leader. Lilly is purity at its finest, just like the Water Pokémon she adores. Beauty is very important to her, which is why Milotic is her most prized possession. After every battle, Lilly takes thorough care of Milotic and makes sure she stays in top-notch performance condition! Lilly's battle capabilities definitely earned her a spot in the fourth bracket, as she's been quite a force to be reckoned with. Venus and the Blight Badge- Poison-type Gym Leader. Venus.. Oh boy. She just can't sit still, literally. Always on the lookout for someone to flirt with, be it males, females, those without genders.. Nobody's safe from her flirting. Don't misjudge her, though! That Drapion has been known to cause quite some trouble for challengers! Bracket Five: Leo and the Quarrel Badge, Fighting-type Gym Leader. Muscles galore, a will of toughened steel and raw power simply overflowing, Leo (short for Leonidas) leans towards being your average muscle-man. Whoever created the statement "brains over brawn" will have quite a tough time when having to deal with Leo in person, though. Leo's Heracross is his number one sparring partner (yes, they actually spar without the use of other Pokémon), and Heracross has more then enough power to lift Leo and toss him up! Axel and the Combustion Badge, Fire-type Gym Leader. A connoisseur when it comes to the beauty of the Fire-type Pokémon in his possession. Axel likes to perform, put up a show for the crowd, and make sure the fire he uses, burns as hot as the sun. His trusty partner Ninetales, always manages to dazzle people by literally brightening up the area and scorching the competition. Ninia and the Sacred Badge, Dragon-type Gym Leader. Ninia is a thrill-seeker, adventurer extraordinaire and has somewhat of a strong character when it comes to helping those in need. Her beloved Druddigon, named Hysteria, was one of the Pokémon she helped before she set aside her life as a Pokémon Ranger, to become a Dragon-type Pokémon Trainer, and eventually entered the Redemption League and claimed one of the spots as "Elite Six" with her powerful Pokémon. Bracket Six: Dexter and the Clairvoyance Badge, Psychic-type Gym Leader. Ah, so this is why Gallade dislikes being around my Espeon from time to time. He was abandoned by Dex and replaced with- What even is that thing? Reuniclus on steroids? Regardless, Dexter is a strong-willed man, who has the ability to tap into the power of his Psychic-type Pokémon, and use a tiny portion of their energy as his own, allowing him to briefly float in mid-air. Festus/Excalibur and the Valor Badge, Steel-type Gym Leader. Festus, or should I say- Excalibur? I don't know, honestly. But they're quite the scary duo. A body of indestructible steel and the ability to use a human body to be somewhat of a "human", has made it possible for Excalibur to roam around the world of people and Pokémon alike. How they do battle, I still don't quite understand.. Oliver and the Fujita Badge, Flying-type Gym Leader. Oliver is Olivia's slightly older brother (dun dun dunnnn) and reigns at the top of the Redemption League's Elite Six. He often talks down on people, thinking he's that amazing, while in reality he gets his butt whooped by the real Champion, Celeste. He claims he stands a chance against her, but has so far never succeeded at doing so. I gotta say, those shades on his Swagraptor fit it perfectly. I approve.
  15. Welcome one, welcome all! These are essentially copied off the official Redemption League thread, but only to make sure the rules don't get flushed out (even though they should be pretty straight-forward), I've decided to seperate them from the official thread as well. 1) Challengers may only issue 1 challenge per day. If you want to face a Gym Leader, you'd best make sure you know who you want to battle in advance. This also means you have a maximum of 3 challenges per League week, possibly netting you up to 3 badges a week if you do extremely well. 2) You can only use the team you have registered with us throughout the entire League. We will have Trainer Cards where your Pokémon will be listed, along with their moves and the slots for your badges. We will be creating these badges and cards manually, meaning that you will (most likely) not immediately receive your card right after you have registered with us. 3) We have Pokémon restrictions. What I mean by this is that the following Pokémon/Ability combinations are not allowed to be used. This is a long list, so bear with me here; Along these banned legendary Pokémon, you are also NOT allowed to have a Mega Pokémon on your team. The following Pokémon are also banned: Speed Boost Blaziken (list is subject to change accordingly.) 4) If you get caught cheating by having an illegal move (that is not registered with us), or by using a Pokémon that isn't allowed, you will automatically be disqualified for that battle. Leaders will get your team preview as listed when you register your team with us, so they will always be aware of the situation. If you get disqualified for a battle, the leader will make note of this and forward this to us, meaning you will be forced to make changes and you will be able to challenge that leader again next time they're scheduled. 5) You must meet certain badge expectations before you're able to issue a challenge to a leader from a higher-ranked bracket. 6) If you battle a Leader and lose, you can request to be their first opponent next time they show up on the server. This has to be a mutual agreement from both sides. Please refrain from posting a battle challenge if you're uncertain you will be able to attend that day, as queues tend to get long sometimes. As for the Leaders, these rules will be applied to them; - They all use teams according to their specialized type, but are also excluded from using legendary Pokémon. However. Gym Leaders from the 5th bracket and onwards have access to 1 Mega Pokémon. So leaders 13-18 will each have a Mega Pokémon. On top of that, the Champion has free access to one legendary Pokémon AND a Mega Pokémon. So be prepared for a challenge. - Gym Leaders rotate and have schedules applied to them, League runs for 2 to 3 hours a day, depending on how busy/crowded the queues get. - Gym Leaders may or may not have more than 1 qualified battling team. That's up to the challengers to find out or not. Additional rules: - Speed Boost Blaziken is banned from use. - We will uphold the Species Clause, meaning you can only have one Pokémon of a certain species in your team. - The following battle clauses will be in effect for Gym Leader/Champion battles: Freeze Clause, Battle Timeout, Sleep Clause, Species Clause, Swagger Clause, Evasion Clause, Moody Clause. To clarify these rules and clauses; Freeze Clause - Only 1 Pokémon per team can be Frozen. Battle Timeout - Battle Timeout has to be on at the start of the battle and may not be turned off. Stalling out the timer repeatedly will lead to you getting disqualified for that battle. If you disconnect, the Leader you will be battling (and vice versa, in terms of the gentleman's clause), will wait for their respective opponent to return while the timer is running. If they do not return, they are disqualified for that battle. Sleep Clause - Only one Pokémon can be asleep per team, however when a Pokémon uses Rest, it does not add up to the one Pokémon limit. Species Clause - You are only allowed to have one Pokémon of the same species (Evolution line) in your team. So you’re not allowed to have Eviolite Doublade and Aegislash or Porygon2 and Porygon-Z on the same team, for instance. Swagger Clause - Using the move Swagger is not allowed and when team registration takes place, we will notify whoever is trying to register Swagger on a Pokémon that this is not allowed. Evasion Clause - Moves that boost Evasion, like Double Team or Minimize are banned from usage. Abilities that boost Evasion under certain conditions, such as Snow Cloak, are allowed. Items that lower accuracy, like BrightPowder and Lax Incense are also forbidden. Moody Clause - Pokémon with the Ability Moody are not allowed. - To limit, but not have items be abused, you can have up to 3 of the same item on a Pokémon, meaning 3 Pokémon with Leftovers is a viable option. However, the use of Gems is prohibited. (Even though the Normal Gem is viable and legal, we’ve decided to ban every single Gem instead of allowing just one.) - EV spreads and Items can be changed, as long as the maximum restriction of 3-of-the-same item rule is followed. - Abiding Smogon rules, we have also decided to limit the use of Baton Pass to 1 Pokémon. This also means that the following Pokémon are not allowed to have a combination of Baton Pass & Swords Dance & Speed Boost: Torchic, Combusken, Blaziken, Ninjask, Scolipede. Agility & Swords Dance however, is allowed. On request, we have come to the conclusion that you may have one Pokémon in rotation only after you have defeated all 18 Gym Leaders. If you want to earn that 7th Pokémon, you have to prove to us, and yourself, that you're worthy of having a 7th Pokémon to face the Champion.
