Gunther couldn't help nodding in agreement. The place was pretty damn impressive. Suddenly she was overcome by a desire to see the whole building. But... first things first. She had to get some training in. Something else was on her mind, though... "Wonder what the food here's like," she mused aloud, following Ringo.

What Does Your Name Mean?
Zephyrus the Priestess replied to Darvan Korematsu's topic in General Discussion
didn't Ark already make this thread zephyr = a gentle breeze; Greek god of the West Wind enyalios = derivative of the Greek goddess of war Enyo TIL "Enyalius" is actually the child of Ares and Enyo and is the god of soldiers... or so Wikipedia says anyway. Alternatively, it's another name to call Ares. not that I have a fascination with Ares or the goddess Enyo, actually, the inspiration first came from the mascot of PFH on DeviantArt (a big Pikachu named Enyo) so I guess it means something like gentle wind god soldier guy thing I dunno lol Back then I never really did have a set alias. what I did have were multiple accounts on this one website... oops I was just drawing this fictional dark-looking girl with long hair, a chainsaw, a cute star shirt with a turtleneck and no sleeves, and a single wing made out of swirls (if I feel like it, I might upload the drawing some time). After a while, that girl was all I drew, and a bit later I thought: "Hey Zephyr's actually a pretty neat name" and, disregarding the fact that I already had a Centaur OC named Zephyr, named the girl so. To those who don't know, this girl is the same girl who often shows up in my avatar, as well as my current... persona? Whatever the heck people call OCs nowadays, I guess ._. -

Rival. A rival. Somebody to test her mettle against. And why the heck not? For a while there, Ringo had nearly beaten her in the race. Maybe she'd be the only one able to keep up with her in training. "Well, good luck beating me in sports. That's one thing I don't intend losing to anyone on," she said in reply, her arms folded as she stared back, her face showing no sign that she was impressed. But pride burned in her deep dark chocolate eyes, which were narrowed. Who would've thought I'd gain a rival in such a froufrou setting? "You could try beating me at all this idol stuff-- try. But like hell I'll let anybody best me in sports. Anyway," she said, her voice trailing off as she looked around. The gym floor was huge, she was sure. According to the attendant from earlier, the fifty-first floor had a section for physical training equipment, a room for meditation, and an indoor track as long as two hundred meters. "... Do you think she was kidding about that two hundred meter-long running track?"

Fun? She doesn't mind losing? Gunther thought, unable to keep an eyebrow from arching in surprise. It wasn't sarcastic, either, judging from the girl's demeanor and breathless laughter. "Martial arts," she muttered in reply, the sport naturally being the first that came to mind even if she had experience in games like badminton, swimming, and others. Combat was just a lot more fun in her opinion. After shaking her head briefly and vigorously to help overcome her amazement at the girl's weirdly joyful reaction to loss, she looked at her-- Ringo, she said-- quizzically and answered, "Gunther. Ker-- nah, just Gunther." She scratched the back of her head, a bit irritated at her near slip.

[5.30.15] How did you find your way to Reborn? One day my ex and I were really bored and wanted to find out who the better Pokemon Trainer was in battle. So I Google'd up a bunch of ways to battle online and then found Reborn. I looked it over then dismissed it, at first, realizing that it was a single-player game, and cause I was too lazy to download Pokemon Online. Later on, I felt like making a Trainer Card, and Reborn popped up again. That led to my making an account here, pretty much. Funny how I decided I wasn't going to be a stickler for the community or people, yet here I am, one year later... XD [5.31.15] What is something you like, that no one else seems to? Once upon a time, it was Glaceon. Now I've yet to find somebody here who wouldn't recoil at my appreciation for songs like Down With The Sickness... in real life, that's not really a problem, so I'm not sure if this answer counts :s

The Incarnation of Cognitive Dissonance
Zephyrus the Priestess replied to IdleThoughts's topic in Welcome Center
TL;DR Don't worry 'bout being snarky-- lots of us are, here, so it's not a new thing. So long as it doesn't go over the top, break the rules, or signify disrespect, you're fine. Never run Nuzlocke on Reborn unless you're absolutely mental... but, then again, who isn't, here? inb4 Tomas comes to deny his insanity Anyway, I'm not really good at words or being not lazy, so... wololo \o/ welcome to Reborn -

"Monopolizing the industry, huh? Looks like somebody's getting greedy, if that's the case. What're these companies' relations to each other, anyway? Do they all produce the same thing or specialize? It'd be pretty damn pointless and counterproductive to get rid of competition if one guy makes stuff like explosives and the other focuses on melee weaponry," Bryth said, glancing at Lia's handgun for a while. "Anyway. I don't suppose these Ironhand blokes would mind answering some of our questions, then, if we're such good partners with them, no?"

Like hell I'm losing to you, Gunther thought wildly. There were still five steps left to the landing. Without thinking, she bent her legs and, kicking off of the steps as she leaned forward, leapt to the bottom, hitting the ground rolling and landing in a crouching position just past the door. Looking up, the sight of the gym floor's equipment greeted her. A bit breathlessly, she stood up. I beat her. That'll show her who's the superior in running. Barely able to suppress a smug look on her face, she glanced at her roommate before heading further inside.

lol that's my passive skill I turn into a blue animal anyway so that's okay Genuine benevolence or something like that. I might just be thinking cynically, but it seems like people only give to take. Something like that.

A footrace? Gunther almost snorted. There'd be more satisfaction in beating this girl in running, anyway. Who did she think she was up against? Kicking off the ground running, she sprinted and dodged the metal tray just as nimbly. Now, the gym facilities were on a lower level, right? That girl would probably take the elevator. With barely a smirk, Gunther raced past her opponent and the elevators easily, making a beeline for and down the stairs, taking three or two steps at a time.

Yeah, no. Putting on a burst of speed, Gunther sailed past the girl, almost knocking her over. Almost. "Mind the door," she said as she sailed past, turning to watch the girl lock up the apartment. For a moment, brown eyes locked with green ones-- Gunther's stare was approaching dagger-like in nature. Really, she was doing her best to hold back at this point in time. Not breaking eye contact, she added, "Since we're both leaving."
