Lynsal scratches his head, "I have no idea what you are saying, priest guy. It's one of these doors, yes? Just open it." With that, Lynsal runs straight towards the central door, pushing into it with his shoulder. (Strength check 12)

Elias looking a little hurt at the last comment turns to Horace and says, "Let's just go find Serra. That woman was useless. I don't think we need to go outside the city anyway, since one team is already going and checking it out. I doubt she knows much of anything we want here." He starts walking towards the main alleyway. ~Adara, Jeanna and Emilia~ Emilia thought for a second, recognising the expression of familiarity on Adara's face. "Well, I know of a criminal group that has been rather known for such efforts, but it has been ages since they were active. I'll run a check if any new or smaller groups have popped up, or if there has been any recent activity from that old group." She pulls out her xtransceiver and starts searching on it. After a few seconds, she frowns and sighs. "That's odd. There seems to be no other criminal organisation that has a red logo or letter on their uniforms other than my initial suspicion. It seems like only Team Rocket had such a uniform and logo. But they have been defunct for a few years now. This is really odd. If you both want to continue questioning him do so. Once you are done, come meet me in the conference room again." Emilia walks away from them and makes her way to the lift, going back to the conference rooms.

Lynsal, seeing the room open with the Kenku inside, remembered that was the room where he woke up. "Ah, maybe it is inside." Saying this, he walks past the rest of the group and starts searching around in the room, to no avail. Stepping over the dead Kenku, he fails at finding his bottle and then frustrated, sits down on the left side of the door outside in the hallway, pulling out a bottle from his robes. "Oh, wait. Here it is. Hold up guys, I found my bottle, I'm coming too." He chases after Kaeso and the rest towards their other compatriots. "So, Mainhun Shukr guy, what are we doing here?"

Lynsal seeing the others stand down, slowly lowers his quarterstaff, however doesn't put it away. Hearing the Kenku's explanation for their actions and seeming satisfied, Lynsal sits down with his back against the corridor wall, takes out a bottle of rum from his robes and starts drinking again. "Aah. That's the stuff." He then realizes he had another bottle which he had taken from the tavern on the ship. "Hey you guys, have you seen my bottle of ale? I had two when I left the tavern, and I only drank one." He starts walking around looking for his ale.

As Aster walks into the forest with Frostbite casing along in the shadows. They walk a good 15 minutes into it and as they walk around a turn in the forest, from a distance, they see a person running towards them at full speed. Behind him, they can see a Venonat chasing them. As the boy notices the group ahead of him, he holds out his hand and slows down. Stopping in front of them, he puts his hands on his knees for support as he bends down and wheezes a little, before straightening up, smiling at them and saying, "Hi there. I'm Shaun. How are you doing today?" The girl looks at the slightly older man and then thinks for a second. "I mean, I've seen a bunch of people come and go through the alley. I did see a guy in a black suit with a briefcase, but I don't think he was the one you were looking for since he is a regular client of Jasmine and a rather big businessman in the city. As for a silver case, I don't recall seeing anyone with a silver case either." She looks down at her watch, and again at her friends, now having caught two men between them and says, "Can I go now?" Elias, thinks it over for a second and asks, "Ok, how about somebody wearing black or dark clothes, with a bag, not necessarily a briefcase. Somebody of the criminal persuasion?" He hands her a bill for 100 pokedollars, and says, "Whatever you can think off would be helpful. I guess you can go afterwards, right H?", as he turns to his colleague.

A little tired after handling the mess, and not really happy about the little humidity and heat in the area, Damien walked off towards the where the Drill was supposed to be landing. On the way, Damien stopped to get something to eat and a bottle of water. He looks at Rooey's pokeball, then decides maybe it would be best if she waited inside. He quickly made his way towards the landing site. I hope I don't miss them. It would be painful to try and find them now.

Elias & Horace Elias looks at Horace and says, "This nice lady agreed to help us newcomers. She said she will answer our questions." Saying that, he moves between her and the exit of the alley. "So miss, I wanted to know if you heard of any gangs robbing people in or around the city?" The girl, now a little worried, steps a little back and says, "Look I have no idea what your deal is, but you better let me go before you get into trouble. I'm just trying to work here. Why are you bothering me?" Realising she is uncomfortable, he says,"Oh I'm sorry. I don't mean to bother you too much. We will just take 10 minutes of your time. We will even compensate you for it. How's that sound?" He smiles at her, trying to be more pleasant. A little hesitant, she looks at them suspiciously, and then says, "Fine. You have 5 minutes. I have heard of a few people who are robbed in the city, but those are minor muggings, not by any gang. There are rumours however, that there is a gang active outside the city somewhere. I'm not sure who they are nor where they are active." Elias turns to Horace and asks, "Do you want to add anything?" Adara, Jeanne & Emilia Emilia looks at both the girls strangely, wondering what they were thinking. "Sure, I can find out more about Lukas, but what reasoning do you have to suspect him? I mean besides the obvious one that he wanted to steal the item." She then turns to Steve and says, "Yes dear, hold on, I'll get you a tea." and walks towards the cafe, while Adara excuses herself and moves towards the restroom. On the way, she pulls up her xtransceiver and sends a text to the IT team to get them details about the Silph Co. executive, Lukas. She has a file about him based on his social media accounts, and any other public records about him. She shares the file with Adara and Jeanne on their xtransceiver. While reading the file, she carries the tea back to Steve and hands it to him. "Here you go, Steve. Adara, Jeanne, I've shared Lukas' file with both of you. Take a look at your xtransceiver." She continues reading. The file contains basic details about Lukas. Born and brought up in Kanto, the young man is the son of one of the directors at Silph Co. and has been trained from birth to work there. He was exceptionally brilliant at school and has been listed in Silph's Top 30 under 30 category. The man had a brilliant start to his career, and is expected to replace his father as director of the Product Innovation department, once Mr. Jacobs retires.

Serra can see him enter into a door momentarily, and then pops out with a mid sized white cloth bag. He opens it to show completely black coloured pokeballs, with no markings on them. He just gives her a peak and then shuts the bag, putting it back inside. "These are special pokeballs that are crafted using rare meteoroid metals. They are said to be some of the best. It's said there are no pokeballs better than these."

Elias sees Horace and Serra walk about talking to people, and he follows suit. He walks up to a group of pretty girls, dressed in short skirts and blouses, standing a little ways inside the lane. "Hi, how are you today? I'm new to town, and I was wondering if maybe you could help me a little?" he asks them, reaching out with his hand for a handshake. The girls all stand around him and one of them says, "Yes baby, we can help you. What do you need? Tell us what you want and we will do whatever you want us to." Elias, a little shocked by this, suddenly realizes these were the girls offering a massage to people. He turns flushed with embarrassment and turns to one of them and says, "Um, do you think we could talk in private? Somewhere without so many people?" The girl laughs at his state and says, "Sure honey, come with me." and begins leading him towards one of the doors in an alleyway. As they move, the remaining girls start chatting up other men in the area. Taking a moment, Elias tries signalling to Horace to follow him and then starts walking after the girl.

~Underground~ The vendor Serra is talking with, a skinny man, mean looking and a little on the dirty side looks up at the her. He takes out a cloth and starts polishing his wares. He picks up a strange blue coloured pokeball with black lines forming polygons on top of it. He spits on the surface and starts shining it brightly. "It depends, what do you want to catch?" He puts a few different balls in front of him, a red one with yellow markings, a pink one with a heart on it, a blue one with black markings in the shape of a rectangle, an orange one with a black top and a green coloured one with red markings on top. Stacker Dave walks around his stall, getting closer to Horace. "Well, I mean if you go further inside you'll come across the alleyways. There are bound to be some punks there. They keep wearing black clothes. I don't know about any suitcase though." As he says this, he points with his hand towards a divergence in the path about 50 meters or so away. "Why are you looking for them anyway?" He looks curiously at Horace, wondering what the strange man wanted with the punks. ~Ilex Forest~ Walking closer to the guard, Aster can see him better now, a man in his mid forties, a slight pot belly and dressed in a blue uniform. After hearing the snarky comments from Aster the guard stands up. He is a rather tall man and stands towering over Aster. Glaring down at the snarky boy he says, "What do you want, punk? Get lost before I hand your ass to you on a platter." As he says this, he pulls out a wooden baton and starts patting it in his other hand in an intimidating manner.

~Underground district Investigation Team~ As Serra flags down a cab and enters, Horace and Elias run towards the front door, hopping into the cab just behind her. "I'll stick with you guys. You seem much more knowledgeable than the others and the faster I learn, the better it is for me." The taxi driver asks,"Anybody else and where do I drop you?" Elias, being the last to leave the room knew nobody else would join them and says, "Nobody else is coming. We can go to the Goldenrod Tunnels." The cab then starts as the group heads towards the underground tunnels. The entrance to the tunnels is 12 blocks away, and the trio reach within 15 minutes. After paying for the cab, they walk towards the nearby lanes which house Goldenrod's infamous underground district. On entering, they can see many small groups of people, talking with each other, vendors of various sorts, a few girls offering rather shady massage services and a few poorly maintained entrances to the buildings surrounding the alleys. Elias turns to the two, "So, what are we looking for? Do you have any idea what we are trying to find?" ~Ilex forest Investigation Team~ As Jayden calls for another taxi, after Serra and her group leaves, Kayn and Aster come behind him. They enter the taxi and set off towards Ilex forest. Due to slight traffic, the trip takes longer than expected as cabs don't leave the city. The taxi drops the trio at the edge of the city limits and they start walking to reach the forest after 1.5 hours. They make their way towards the gatehouse to enter the forest. A vendor is present in the gatehouse, with water, soda and some snacks. A sofa set for weary travelers, some magazines and plants adorn the otherwise bare room. A guard sits at the desk and looks up inquisitively at the three arrivals. ~Interrogation Team~ Steve looks at Adara first and then Jeanne. Emilia sends Katie back and holds up a glass of water. "Here, have this and calm yourself down." She puts her hand on his shoulder and gives it a squeeze, to try and reassure him. Steve turns to face her and he visibly relaxes. He takes the glass from her and drinks water. After finishing the glass, he keeps it on the table and with a deep breath says, "Ok. I'll try my best to give you as many details as I can. Thank you for being so nice, all of you." He turns to face Adara and Jeanne as well. "I was given the case by an executive of Silph Co. He seemed to be relatively well positioned since he had his own car and everything. He told me to drop it at the Radio tower where I would find professor Oak. He gave me the payment and I left early in the morning. I made my way through the forest with relative ease, since we don't hear many such cases happening in the forest. Sure there is the occasional mugging and theft, but nothing that has ever been this well planned. I had no idea what was in the case, so I had it in my bag and went about it like any other delivery. I have a Houndoom that the company gives us when on trips, but this time since it was supposed to be a relatively easy and short delivery I was given one of the newer Houndour. I was supposed to train it a little on the way, so that it would be used to deliveries. Probably midway through, we were ambushed by two people dressed in black clothes. A web hit and caught the Houndour and when I turned to see who attacked us, I saw large Ariados which used Scary Face on me and then a Girafarig which used confusion. That is why I was so terrified all this time. They took my bag, and left after that, so I cleaned the webs out of Shaggy, that's the Houndours name, and ran straight towards the city. Luckily I found a cyclist who gave me a ride towards the city so I could reach here soon. That is really all I can tell you." He stops talking and is looking a bit sad at being defeated so easily. Emilia sits next to him and puts her arm over his shoulder, "That is fine, Steve. You did all you could. You gave us enough to have a look and try to find the case. Girls, any questions for Steve?" She looks at the two recruits standing next to the boy.

Lynsal had taken all the extra drinks that people had refused. After being sufficiently drunk, Lynsal decided to sit on the deck of the ship, as the tavern shut. He kept the last two bottles with him and started drinking it sitting there. Soon, he fell asleep near the front deck of the ship.

Emilia turns to Adara and Jeanna,"If the two of you want to join me, come along. I guess I can see just how well the two of you work at 'interrogating' people. Remember, he is shaken up by the ordeal. Don't do anything stupid." With that, Emilia leads the two of them towards the cafeteria where Katie is taking care of Steve. As Emilia leaves, Daniel turns to the rest. "That is actually a good idea. All of you can create a communications group for this case and we can exchange information on that. I will have James set it up. As for the rest of you, go out and investigate. Being a detective isn't as simple as stating your theory and following that. We have a few leads, go follow those and figure out what is happening." Saying that he dismisses the group, stands up and turns to Oak. "Come professor, we will go to my office. We can wait for their findings there. Would you like something else brought up?" Oak turns to Daniel shaking his head, "No thank you Daniel. Let us just go up and catch up. It has been a long time since we have just spoken." With that, the two men leave, and Daniel's voice is heard outside the door giving instructions to James. Within 5 minutes, a message with a link to set up a secure communication channel is received on everybody's xtransceivers.

Lynsal was drinking heavily, and after a few people introduced themselves, he raised his head. "I'm..." He stares at the Halfling for a little while, then continues. "I'm Lynnnshal.. Nai-hic.. Nai-hic.. Nail-hic-o.. Nailo. I'm here for money for booze." After which he takes a tankard of ale up to his lips and takes a few deep sips of the beverage. He let out a large belch and sat down, visibly drunk and swaying from side to side.

After much debate, discussion and pain staking agony to make a stupid char, here it is. Horns Toot!!!!!!!!!

Lars looks at everybody with an incredulous look on his face. He is taken aback at the idea that these so called detectives are jumping to so many strange conclusions without any proof or even reasonable assumptions. I can't believe they selected these people as detectives, and I'm stuck here as the intern. Lars looks at the professor, then at Daniel and finally at Emilia. "Is it correct to jump to so many conclusions without really investigating even a little? We already have different theories by everybody here, but nobody has spoken properly with Steve after he is a little more coherent. I mean, for all we know, it could just be a simple mugging case. It is a forest we are talking about. Criminals would always hide in such places." Emilia nods at Daniel, "I'm going to check on Steve, I'll come back once he is able to tell us what happened properly."

Finally when Joe reached professor Oak and Daniel, they both take a coffee and then Joe leaves. Sipping the coffee, Daniel smiles at Oak's offer to start again. Daniel lets out a slight chuckle before he says "I'm afraid that I wouldn't be able to start over even if I wanted to; I just don't have the time these days, and I don't really feel the need for it. So professor, now that our new batch has managed to settle down, and we all have our coffee, why not tell us how we can help you?" Oak puts down his cup, and lets out a rather heavy breath. He turns to put his hand on the shoulder of his companion. "Let me introduce you to Steve. Steve here, was delivering something of importance to me from a close friend of mine, but was attacked on his way and had the item stolen. Steve, why don't you tell the good detectives what happened?" He allows Steve to narrate the incident. As everybody looks at Steve, they notice that the man, who really seems to be a teenager, is visibly shaken, as he seems to have been ambushed and so far has said nothing, not even raise his head except to take a coffee, which he has been staring at. He looks up at the crowd, and they notice a strange fear in his eyes. "Um, um, I was, I, I was on my from Azalea town to Goldenrod city and was walking through the forest." He shudders a little at the thought of the forest. "As I was walking through, somewhere near the end of the forest, I was,.... mugged. Waaahhh, I was so scared." He closes his eyes, recalling what seems to be a frightening incident. "These people with black clothes came out of nowhere, they surrounded me with their pokemon and threatened me. I had to hand over the briefcase that was the item to be delivered. I was so scared.. I didn't want to die, so I gave it to them." As he says this, he starts crying a little, whimpering at the harrowing experience. "The two of them then ran away with it. I ran straight to professor Oak and we came here." As the incident is narrated Steve puts his hands in his eyes and starts crying. Professor Oak turns to the rest, and everybody can see that the professor has been keeping him calm, and seems a little annoyed. Daniel asks Steve, "Did they harm you Steve?" At which point the crying man shakes his head. "So, you are ok, right? Come now, don't cry. Is there anything else you can tell us about them? What did they look like? What pokemon did they have?" Steve shakes his head, and a muffled reply is heard. "I don't remember. I was too scared." Daniel shares Oaks look of annoyance. "It's fine Steve, I'll have Katie escort you out and take you to the cafeteria." He pushes a button on the speakerphone on the desk and Katie soon enters through the door. "Yes, Daniel?" "Katie, please take Steve to the cafeteria and ensure he stops crying. Try getting him some food." As he says that, Katie leads Steve away. "So Professor, what can you tell us about this incident? The boy definitely didn't do anything to protect the item, nor did he seem to have a reason to be this scared, if it was just two people against him." Oak nods and says, "Well, I tried to tell him it was alright, but the boy seems to have been severely affected by it. I knew going to the police would be an issue and he would probably be more frightened. Plus the object that was stolen is too vital to just send the police after it, so I'd like you to retrieve it. The object was in a small briefcase and not very heavy. I'd prefer you not open the briefcase, should you get it. Daniel, I'm counting on a swift and ensured retrieval of the item. Do you have any questions for me?"

Lars is the last to enter the room, right behind Arlen. As he enters, he sees a long rectangular room, with a large oval shaped table with glazed glass on top kept in the center of the room. The table is surrounded by swivel chairs, with arm rests and a high back rest. The conference room is pretty much similar to every other conference room one would expect to see in a corporate office. On the table, is a speaker phone, some notepads and pens. At one end is a large television screen, and directly opposite hangs a white screen, for presentations. At the head of the table near the television screen, Daniel is seated with two other men, while everybody else is finding a chair around the table. In total there seem to be 14 chairs. Daniel and Professor Oak are exchanging pleasantries. "How are things going at the lab professor? I heard a rumor you might start giving new trainers an option to choose starter pokemon of all the different regions. Is that truly the case?" Oak laughs and says, "Well, if you want to start again, I'll be happy to show you everything I have. Though after Titan, I'm sure you won't enjoy any other starter, will you?" As Lars finds an empty chair near the door to the room, Katie opens the door, and a man rolls in with a few pots of coffee, bagels and an assortment of spreads on a cart. "Hello everybody, I'm Joseph, but you can call me Joe. I'll bring the cart around and you can all take what you want." He then goes around the room once while everybody picks what they want from the cart.

Daniel finds the smokescreen a little irritating, and as he hears Emilia say they have a client, he sighs. It would have been fun to have a battle with Titan. I guess it will have to wait. He then raises his wrist to his face and says, "Send in a pidgeot to the field and clear this smokescreen." He raises his pokeball and calls Titan back, "Come back Titan. We have business to attend to." As a flash of light takes the magikarp to it's ball, a gust of wind clears the smokescreen. Daniel sees the charmander standing in the middle, while the nearby Aipom has been knocked out. Damnit. He hurries towards the fainted pokemon, and takes out a few berries, feeding it to the Aipom. "sorry about that little one. Titan rarely battles, so it gets excited easily." He turns to the group and says, "You heard Emilia, we have a client. We can't keep them waiting. Let's go." He ushers everybody towards the building. Upon entering the building he notices Katie standing by the door. "The professor is waiting in conference room A. Shall I send in some snacks and coffee?" Daniel nods towards her, as he hurries towards the conference room. "Emilia, get the others inside as well. I guess we can push them into the field right now." He rushes inside the conference room as the rest of the group enters the lobby. Emilia turns to the new entrants as her boss rushes past her. "Well, all of you can take a look at your letters and then enter the conference room. If you're lucky, you may be put on this case." She then walks inside the conference room.

"Lizzie, smokescreen! Let's piss him off." as Lars gives the order, the charmander lets out a smokescreen, surrounding itself and a large part of the field. It hides in the smoke and waits for the magikarp to come down again. Emilia, before either Pokemon could attack says, "Stop! Both of you. We all need to head inside the office. A client has arrived and I think we all need to go meet him, now. It is very urgent. It's Professor Oak." With that Emilia starts walking back to the office building.

Lars looks at Daniel and says, "Well, old man. I assume you were challenging us. Even if I am at a disadvantage, if I back down without even trying, I really won't be doing my job will I? If you aren't challenging us, then my apologies. I assumed your reason for abusing everybody was to challenge us and see our capabilities with our partners. If that wasn't your intent, then I'll call Lizzie back." He takes out the pokeball and holds it up. "Also, on a side note, even though your Magikarp is a water type, that doesn't mean it has any advantage. Even if your Karp knows it, tackle is it's only aggressive move, which isn't super effective versus my Lizzie, where as I can easily use non fire type moves. So all in all, I'd say the battle should be pretty even. As for you all, how do you know this isn't a test? He could be checking to see if we have the guts to stand up to him. In any case, maybe you didn't realize this, but the boss didn't really say anything to me." he says, turning towards Serra and the others. He tosses the pokeball in his hand. "So, what will it be, boss? Do we battle or no? It will be fun in either case." He smiles at Daniel, simply enjoying the possibility of a battle.

Lars, upon not even being acknowledged by Daniel, gets a little upset. He takes out his pokeball and throws it on the ground in front of the Magikarp. From the pokeball a Charmander pops out and stands facing the Magikarp. "I'll take up that challenge. Guys and girls, come on. Even if he is the new boss, he shouldn't throw down a challenge like that. Lizzie will roast that karp." Lizzie then lets out a small roar, and a tiny shot of fire, clearly imitating a charizard it must have seen sometime in it's life.

Elias finds an empty desk and puts a note on it. Claimed by Elias. He then walks over to the man who was talking about the GBA emulator and roms. "Hi, I'm Elias, the new intern. Is it fine if I borrow your flash drive? I'd like to take a look at the emulator and roms, please." Without really waiting for a reply, he takes the drive and walks back to his system. He plugs it in and starts transferring all the roms he wants. After finishing with this, he makes his way back to the man and returns his flash drive. He then walks towards the elevator and pushes the button to call it. He turns around and asks, "Does anybody want to head downstairs?"

James looks at Horace and sighs. There is always a gun enthusiast. He then goes on to repeat the company policy, "Regular ammunition will be paid for by the agency, although you probably won't get that many of it and anything more powerful than the second lowest caliber round is going to be extremely regulated. You can always buy ammunition and write it off as an expense, however you must justify the use of every single bullet. Also you will be given a very limited number of ammunition every time. Furthermore, you will only be able to get it, after you complete your clearance tests. While the law gives you the right to carry a weapon should you have a permit, our agency takes these matters a little more seriously. You will train and pass our version of a licensing test before you can get be approved and gain access to the armory facilities." James then turns to face the rest, and seeing no other questions he says,"Alright then, since there are no questions with regards to the physicals, I won't really be telling you much about it. I'll be on the sidelines cheering for all of you. With my video camera to record every single embarrassing mistake and goof up." James gives a slightly sadistic grin at the thought of the potential physical test. "Let's move on. Time to go to the bullpen. Your last stop of this tour." He walks to the elevator, presses the button and Emilia walks up next to him. "You truly feel schadenfreude, don't you?" she asks, looking at the joy in his eyes. She wonders why she hired him. The elevator doors open and the group walks inside. Turning to see the recruits and their pokemon fooling around she says, "Stop the mankey business and hurry inside." As the rest of the group enters, James says,"Well, it's not that I like them suffering, but if they are going to suffer anyways, why not have fun with it? I mean, it's not like I have to undergo the exam. I'm safe behind my desk." loud enough for the entire group to hear. The elevator moves up slowly and finally reaches the seventh floor. The doors open and as the group steps out they see the bullpen, which is nothing but a large hall with a few structural columns equally spaced, acting as divisions. There are rows of desks, some empty, and some with personal knick-knacks, paperwork, plants etc on them. The desks near the windows were all occupied, as were the desks near the coffee machine. The empty desks were kept close to the elevators, totaling ten in number. If somebody counted, the desks would be about twenty five in total, arranged in five rows of five. Each desk also had a laptop computer on it, a waste bin next to it and a cabinet to store files. There were two wireless printers at the tables near the coffee machine at the back end of the room. There were also some chairs and tables where some of the employees were sitting and enjoying their coffee away from their desks while looking out the window with a view facing the west, which gave the chance to view a beautiful sunset everyday. "This, boys and girls, is the bullpen. The empty desks are for each of you. You can choose which desk is yours and place your bags there, after which we will go downstairs for the rest of the days activities. The senior detectives who are having coffee right now, are already seated around you, and you can introduce yourselves to them later. This is where you will do all your paperwork and brainstorming. Alright, keep your stuff and come downstairs to the main lobby on the ground floor in ten minutes." James told the group, as he and Emilia step back inside the elevator, which goes up to the eighth floor.

James looks at the new kid, wondering just who he was. Shrugging off the feeling that something odd was happening, he decides that if he needs to know anything, Emilia will tell him. "So, let's continue with the tour now that we have Emilia and the intern with us. I guess the best place to go next would be the training gym, just above us on the third floor. We will only be seeing a few of the rooms of this facility as time is against us. In interest of saving time, I'll just tell you that the conference rooms are on the ground floor, the recreation room and cafeteria are located on the sixth floor, below the bullpen and we have the interrogation rooms alongside the computer center and file room on the fifth floor.
