You can get more heart scales rather easily so why not do both? If you have got the good rod and have reached the hidden cove you can catch luvdisc there which have heart scales on them. If you haven't reached that point you can find them in the mining rocks so just save in front of one and keep mining until you find one (shouldn't take that long).

The server status is unrelated to the Pokemon Reborn Game. Before there was even a Pokemon Reborn Game there was a Pokemon Reborn League on this site. Idk much about it because only found the site because of the game but I believe in game Gym Leaders have something to do with the actual Reborn League. The Reborn League is offline though as you can see from the server status and I believe has been offline a long time. And you catch Gastly in-game in the Byxbsion Wasteland which is just before the 5th Gym. It is kinda hard to find in the wasteland as it isnt just in the grass there you have to find the secret caverns there which are accessed by turning all the switches purple. The cavern has a lot of other cool pokemon in it such as Zubat (Crobats awesome), Mawile and Spiritomb.

Puzzles although frustrating are part of Reborn so nothing wrong with flash caves Besides its not even a puzzle with flash and is only difficult if your too stubborn to teach one your pokemon flash. A dark place like Reborn should have dark caves.

I don't really see this as a spoiler but instead as good story telling. From the very start you know the villainous teams name is Team Meteor but we don't think anything of it even though it relates to their plans and what they are trying to reach. Later we learn team meteor blew up the grand stairway and all we know about why they did it is there is a power bellow Reborn they want to reach... Then later we learn about the fallen star (meteor) that Reborn was built above and all of a sudden we understand why they called themselves Team Meteor and what's the source of the power bellow Reborn and even with all this information we still don't know what they plan to do with this power. My point is seeing what you see in Shades Gym now doesn't really tell us much alone so it doesn't really spoil anything just like without other information Team Meteors name doesn't tell us they are looking for a meteor.

I really liked this part of the story though... When there is so much going on its not surprising your going to be side-tracked... The only thing that bugged me wa no getting that badge from Kiki because she was actually a hard Gym battle at that stage of the game with some big threats.

Don't like that Machamp at all but still voted for new shiny sprites hoping the others are better. Definitely don't want any looking zombie though. And the Red looks the best and suits it more. Pretty sure in the anime they have red glowing eyes in the dark.

Yep you catch it with the Old Rod in the hidden reservoir. Edit: Also yeah Pachirisu and Panpour location varies per save file but they are both available at the start just which one is being bullied and which is running around that house changes.

If you are wanting to suggest useful pokemon for big battles then some useful pokemon for the first Gym are Trubish, Goldeen and Pachirisu. Trubish gets Toxic Spikes at lvl 7 making it very usefull early game against gym leaders simply because of that 1 move. Goldeen gets Lightening Rod ability making it immune to electric attacks and in fact makes it boost it special attack which allows it to sweep with water pulse seems as the AI continues to try to use electric attack on Goldeen despite it being useless because they must think its going to be super effective... Pachirisu is good at this stage of the game because it doesn't evolve so this is a final stage pokemon and therefore has better stats than most pokemon at this stage of the game because they all have evolutions to add to their stats. Pachirisu also gets Volt Absorb ability meaning if low hp you can always switch out and switch it back when expecting an electric attack to heal. These pokemon aren't really good and shouldn't stay on your team but they are definitely extremely useful for the first Gym if you need the help.

Yeah there are gen 6 pokemon and the first two I want t suggest are Greninja and Noivern! You can get Greninja as your starter and it is simply a beast because of that Protean. Everyone whos played competitively in Gen 6 should know how strong Protean Greninja is. Protean is even better in a playthrough because the AI doesn't seem to know your going to change type so they are easily exploitable and not to mention STAB on all your moves is always useful. Also at the start its surprisingly good because of the move lick of all things! Lick with protean lets it turn to a ghost type to avoid headbutts, uproars and tackles which are basically the only attacks used on you early game. This pokemon is definitely S material IMO as its obtainable right away an extremely useful right away and remains useful late game. Noibats are available extremely early and are very useful early game. Dragon/Flying gives you a 4x resistance to Grass types which is very useful for those early game Fern battles and your second Gym Battle. It also learns some nice moves by the time you reach the second Gym like Air Cutter. The only problem with Noibat is how long it takes to evolve into Noivern which leaves it weak around your 4th - 5th Gym badge. I would suggest just not using Noibat after beating Shelly and waitig until after you 5th Gym badge as after beating Aya you can catch wild Noibats that are a high level and close to evolving into Noivern. Noivern is very strong around that part of the game but unfortunately has a 4x weakness to the 6th Gym so is no help there but will still be exceptionally useful in other hard battles. I would rate this pokemon A because its very strong and useful early and late game but is let down by its next to uselessness in mid game.

Why is Gyarados people solution people put forward to any battle people are having trouble with... Anyway there's two really useful pokemon you can catch in the Byxbysion Wasteland (which is the wasteland the Gyms located in) that are extremely useful against Aya. Spiritomb and Forretress Spiritomb resist poison and can take most neutral hits rather well. Spiritomb gets Hypnosis, Nasty Plot, Dream Eater and Shadow Ball. Its move set allows it to put the enemies asleep then boost its special attack to +6 with Nasty Plot then heal with Dream Eater (which is super effective against poison) and use powerful STAB Shadow Balls when the enemies are awake. Forretress being a Steel type is immune to poison type attacks and works well beside Spiritomb because Spiritomb is a Ghost type meaning you can go boom with your Foretress and take out 2 enemies without worrying about taking out your own pokemon. Anyways you catch Forretress pre evo in the wasteland by headbutting trees and you catch Spirtomb in the cavern underneath the wasteland however to battle it you need a Odd Keystone from mining rocks.

Another cool tactic! This Goldeen is better though because for some reason they kept spamming electric moves on it despite it doing nothing. Best of all it let Goldeen reach +6 special attack and 1 hit everything with Water Pulse! You only need 1 Pokemon for that electric Gym and that's Goldeen!

I disagree You can't overlevel in Pokemon reborn anyways because of the level limits so all it would do it make training new team members that are underleveled easier and is that really a bad thing? Sorry but grinding levels is not fun or difficult its just tedious and makng that easier is a good thing. I like how in X and Y levelling ect is less tedious I just hate how easy the main serious battles are and how easy it is to overlevel which really can never be a problem in Pokemon Reborn. The only OP thing about a VS recorder I guess would be a infinite way to make money but if you just add the VS recorder in the next episode I wouldn't see that as a issue as this far into the game money is no longer a problem... Money was just a problem early on.

The shiny rate in reborn is way higher but I would also like to say your extremely lucky if you run into like 2 shinies by the 4th gym each playthrough of the main series games. I have played pokemon since gen 1 and played through all the games countless times and I mean countless times (I love pokemon too much) and have only ever ran into 4 shinies in playthroughs and 3 of those were in X and Y... I have breed for shinies but that's completely different and I don't even have that much luck there tbh.

Lol just doing another playthough (love this game) and I realised how amazing Goldeen is for the first Gym! You wouldn't think about it seems as its water and the Gym is a electric Gym but Goldeen gets Lightening Rod ability making it immune to all those electric attacks and actually get its special attack boosted by them! Whats even funnier is the Gym leader doesn't seem to get it and still tries to Charge beam it boosting Goldeen special attack for water pulse. Goldeen is possibly the best option for the first gym!

The field effect actually helped me because my teams all Dark types. My Umbreon was only lvl 57 for the battle (like my whole team) but I still won... My Umbreon actually took hers out solo and mine was like 10 lvls lower than hers! Edit: Yer Bennet seemed harder... He was 10x harder than luna for me but that's because he was a bug type user and my teams all Dark types. Btw did someone really say Kiki is easy? Shes a really hard leader and I am not just saying it because my team was all Dark types against her but her teams actually full of big threats like Lucario and Machamp and you face her pretty early before a lot of pokemon get their good moves!

In my dark type mono I started the battle with Umbreon with lefties. Switched to Spiritomb so Arceus Focus blast and Judgement doesn't work... Switch to Umbreon to take the Dark pulse then heal little with leftovers... Used Protect with Umbreon to stall another move and heal a little with leftovers.. Switch back to Spiritomb for the Judgement or Focus blast... Repeat until Arceus runs out of PP and struggles to death. 0 of my Pokemon fainted! Edit: I handled Garchomp so hilariously in my Dark type mono lol... I used my Prakster Liepard and spammed Sand attack till my Liepard got took out (managed to get Garchomp to -3 accuracy before going down) and then sent out Mightyena to spam swagger on it until it was at +6 attack and basically killed itself from hitting itself from confusion... Even if it bypassed confusion it missed because of its lowered accuracy as Dragon rush isnt very accurate to begin with.

Edit: Right I've done it was nothing wrong just me being stupid I actually hadn't talked to the final magma guy that directs you to the waterhole before so the event thing never activated... I talked to the mama gang then to the dealer then to the first magma gang guy again and didn't listen to what he said that last time and I just assumed he told me about the waterhole as I heard from other people on here that your gang tell you to go there... So yeah was trying to go there and activate the event and try to progess when I couldn't >.< feel like a idiot. I really shouldn't skip text! I actually never usually do it this was the first time and I really paid for it lol.
