  1. If one can love a person they only know by pictures and words, can they not also love a personality they only know by pictures and words? What difference is there between a person behind a screen and a person within a screen? Food for thought

The person is sentient even if he or she is fictitious in the former. He or she is a living, talking person that interacts and somehow can compel you through personality or actions online, even if they're wearing a mask.

I think the point is more along a celebrity crush vs an anime crush. You don't interact with either and you only knowant what you see on the screen. Both are essentially the same but anime crushes are generally frowned upon while a celebrity crush is considered normal.

I don't have experence with either of these types of crushes but here's my two cents

While I'm a little more supportive of the cilebrity crush i don't believe you can truly love anyone in a romantic sence unless you have interacted with them through conversations a few times a have gotten to know the real them

And that's not something you could ever do with an anime chick
