But for real though, it's not as bad as it seems. Mega Slowbro is an unkillable Crocune. Mega Audino is immune to Ghost and Dragon, resists Dark and will heal any status effects in VGC.

That's what I do on my normal playthrough. Besides Gyarados, who shouldn't be fighting an Electric-type gym anyway, Mr. Mime is the strongest Pokemon you can get within the level cap.

If you have a decently strong and leveled Pokemon, Julia's gym can be (kinda) easily swept.
