  1. Burn doesn't take into account when you use Foul Play. Just the boosts and base attack, I believe. Plus, Foul Play hits Talonflame and Zard X, which is nice.
  2. Ok, here are these teams right here. Use Sableye to burn physical attackers and cripple sweepers with Foul Play. Also a nice Utility since Knock Off can cripple so many pokemon as well. The team is pretty balanced, imo. Just keep Heatran and Sableye alive to check Talonflame though. CM Slack Off and Two attacks>CroBro, but it’s just my preference. Use Tentacruel to toxic stall stuff so Mega Slowbro can set up Calm Minds safely. Everything else just gets rid of usual counters/checks to slowbro, like Tyranitar gets rid of lati, and Keldeo benefits from toxic spikes as well. Scarf Landorus is a great Pivot along with Jirachi since it goes into Tar and traps stuff. Amazing team. Team kinda weak to Bisharp, so I gave Latias HP Fighting with a Colbur berry, and it should be good. Let’s get some souls with Absol. Rotom-W and Lando-T provide a defensive backbone, while Heatran is a good revenge killer that kills fairys for Absol.
  3. I usually just play around those threats though, since Altaria can break Volcarona, and Weavile can't set up on skarm because whirlwind. If it sets up on anything else, well it can't or else it takes a hefty amount of damage. Still stuff I should watch out for I guess. Thanks
  4. That's a neat suggestion. I forgot about Cloud Nine haha. I'll use that. Thanks! I'll edit the RMT if there are some good suggestions or something. Keep an eye out for that!
  5. You're right about Gengar. Nothing can come in safely against it. However, Gengar can't freely switch in either. I got some solutions to this thing Raikou does indeed check this Gengar, can Calm Mind, then threaten a Thunderbolt. Before Mega evolving, Altaria can live a Sludge Wave/Shadow Ball, Dragon Dance up, and can kill Life Orb Gengar. Although I'm screwed if it has the rare Icy Wind or Hidden Power Ice. +1 252+ Atk Pixilate Mega Altaria Return vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 240-282 (92.6 - 108.8%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO Skarmory can sort of tank a Shadow Ball, since specially defensive, and can do about 45% to Gengar with Iron Head. 252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Skarmory: 153-183 (45.8 - 54.7%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery 0 Atk Skarmory Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 109-129 (42 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO I can put more offensive pressure on Gengar, more than it can on me. Although it is something that I should watch out for, though. Thanks for the threatlist thing!
  6. Dropping out of this. There's just no time for me to build, especially when the theme idea isn't even up yet rofl
  7. Major spoilers and these clips won't make any sense to you if you didn't watch Once Upon a Time, but this is why Watch this first
  8. So instead of replacing Skarm, we can make this team a somewhat ok Hyper Offense squad? Skarmory @ Custap Berry Ability: Sturdy EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Spikes - Stealth Rock - Iron Head - Taunt Garchomp @ Lum Berry Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Swords Dance - Earthquake - Outrage - Poison Jab Dragonite can also replace Garchomp as well, but be careful of Stealth Rock. You can use Starmie instead of Keldeo to out this issue. Starmie @ Life Orb Ability: Analytic EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 29 HP / 0 Atk - Hydro Pump - Rapid Spin - Ice Beam - Psychic Dragonite @ Weakness Policy Ability: Multiscale EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Extreme Speed - Outrage - Earthquake I'll post the teams later tonight.
  9. Grand Festival time! Hey guys, DestructiveSkitty is back again with another RMT. This team has been my most successful ORAS team, and has some nicknames that I thought were creative and that represents "me". Not really, but let's get this show on the road. Here's what the team is from team preview... Now for the details... High in the Sky (Latios) (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 28 Atk / 228 SpA / 252 Spe Hasty Nature - Draco Meteor - Earthquake - Hidden Power [Fire] - Recover This Latios is kind of a Hit and run mon, then again, I think most Latios are? Anyway, this Latios has perfect coverage against everything, so don't be afraid to predict! Although it lacks Defog, I actually haven't had problems with opposing hazard users. I can get the opponent to defog them off of my field, or they can use Rapid Spin and take like 30% from Garchomp with Rocky Helmet+Rough Skin, so I don't need Hazard Control. Recover is there so I can have longevity and hit back more times. Alone in the Alley (Raikou) @ Leftovers Ability: Pressure EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def - Substitute - Calm Mind - Thunderbolt - Hidden Power [ice] Raikou is pretty underrated, I like to think. Most offensive teams don't have a answer for Raikou, which ORAS is really going toward the direction of being a heavily offensive based meta-game, in my opinion. Set up Sub, get some Calm Minds ready, and use the appropriate move to take on the opponent in the form of a pseudo Bolt+Beam combination. Take my Blade (Skarmory) @ Leftovers Ability: Sturdy EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD Careful Nature - Spikes - Iron Head - Whirlwind - Roost Skarmory is one of my dedicated leads, I guess. I use Skarmory to check Fairys and Dragons, and set up Spikes as I progress through the game. Iron Head hits Mega Diancie hard, which my team is weak to. Also has the ability to 3HKO Clefable, possibly getting a flinch or whatever if I need it. Specially defensive Skarm so I can take Mega Diancie, Latios and Latias, and Clefable with Flamethrower if they don't have a boost. Can't take me down (Garchomp) @ Rocky Helmet Ability: Rough Skin EVs: 248 HP / 168 Def / 92 Spe Impish Nature - Stealth Rock - Dragon Tail - Earthquake - Endure I like defensive Garchomp+special defensive Skarmory. I don't think there's anything that can beat these two, offensively. Keldeo can muscle it's way past them, but Latios, Raikou, and Mega Altaria checks it fine. Garchomp is my other dedicated lead, along with Skarmory. Set up Stealth Rock, and be passive with this thing. Use Dragon Tail to prevent sweeps or threats to come in. It also racks up some nice Hazard entry damage. Earthquake is just to hit Heatran and for chip damage. Endure is used so I live just a bit longer against something like Mega Lopunny, Mega Metagross, and other pokemon who rely on a lot of physical attacks. Gives me another turn of Rocky Helmet+Rough Skin. Let's have fun (Manaphy) @ Leftovers Ability: Hydration EVs: 96 HP / 248 SpA / 164 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe - Tail Glow - Surf - Ice Beam - Hidden Power [Fire] Manaphy is my second sweeper, along with Raikou. However, Manaphy is kinda used against slower and bulkier teams. Set up a Tail Glow, and use the appropriate coverage moves. Surf is a strong STAB that's just mandatory, while Ice Beam hits annoying Dragons and Grass types that can be a problem. Hidden Power Fire was kinda in a war vs Energy Ball, but I decided that I really want to hit Ferrothorn and OHKO Scizor, instead of hitting water pokemon, which Raikou can handle. Soft as True Love (Altaria) (F) @ Altarianite Ability: Cloud Nine Happiness: 255 EVs: 64 HP / 252 Atk / 192 Spe Adamant Nature - Dragon Dance - Return - Roost - Heal Bell Ah, the mega of the team. You should only bring in Mega Altaria, after every Steel type Pokemon is removed, otherwise Altaria will just get skinned alive, like the puppies killed by Cruella. Dragon Dance makes Altaria a formidable sweeper, while Return and Roost are pretty much mandatory so I can attack and heal up whenever it's necessary. Refresh is the last slot, so I don't get screwed over by something dumb like Thunder Wave from Thundurus, or passive burns/poison damage. It has benefited me a lot, and I don't really need to run a coverage move because my team can already deal with everything Altaria cannot. Hell Bell instead of Refresh, because my team can really use the support. Rupe and Void have my thanks for this change. So that's the team. Here's shoutouts tho. Thanks to and @Void for testing this team with me. It was nice playing against these two, since they both have a variety of teams that let me saw some weaknesses, and what to do about them for myself. Thanks to @Ikaru for the powerful Mega Altaria gif. #tumblr Importable:
  10. Going to bump this topic in case more people want to join this week's theme tour, which has yet to be announced.
  11. Now that's what I like to see. :]] I should really start donating soon, if it does help you get the game done faster.
  12. BreloomBot is the worst authbot ever.
  13. Reignited'Light

    Cain

He's a cool character/rival that's kinda like your best friend. He's my favorite character, along with his sister, Aya. Cain seemed like a very cheery person, imo. That all changes during the story when you go into his past.
  14. Today is the last day I'm building teams for this thread. If you want one last time done, post now. Closing this thread at 8 PM EST.
  15. Quality post for a quality user. :]
  16. Cowtao, wanna play some more 1v1 Challenge Cup today? :]
  17. Rules are meant to be broken, so I'll just build regularly. Alright, got some Hyper Offense squads for Glalie and Linoone and some Venomoth team rofl. Nuke every single team with Explosion from Azelf and Glalie. Mega Sableye can probably be a bitch to deal with, so just make sure Glalie is healthy to use Explosion, and make sure Kyurem-Black is healthy as well. Or just slap Calm Mind on Latios instead of EQ. or Yet again, another HO squad. Break everything with Diancie and Victini, then kill off everything with Breloom when stuff is weakened, and sweep with Linoone. If Landorus-Therian is a problem, you can always use Latios as a check+ground resist instead of Victini. Quiver Dance and Baton Pass into a threat, and sweep. Once sweeper dies, repeat until Venomoth is dead, but everything should be dead by the time the sweeping is over.
  18. I lied. I was going to make one team only for a person, but it's whatever at this point rofl Slant and Hilda teams So I gave Charizard a slightly different set. I believe a Modest nature with Flamethrower is more consistent than a Timid nature with Fire Blast, because who wants to miss every once in a while? Focus Blast.. Anyway, so I partnered Tyranitar so you can beat some Latios, Latias, bulky psychic mon. Also beats Talonflame, which is very annoying for your Fire spam core. Tentacruel and Hippowdon set up Hazards, while the former can spin them away from your field. Tentacruel also beats Clefable and some stall teams with Acid Spray, which comes in handy against Calm Mind users. Wobbuffet helps eliminate stall teams, so Tyranitar can switch in and Pursuit something for so much power. Nice squad. So I made a Hyper Offense team with this core. This team has all sorts of good matchups because of Breloom and Talonflame just crushing souls. Once the opponent is weakened, Sharpedo cleans up. I gave Sharpedo a Jolly nature, but Adamant works as well for more power. I just like the speed before any boosts. If Mega Sableye gives you problems, use a offensive stealth rock/swords dance garchomp with Lum Berry, and it should be better.
  19. It's a post on the forums. By deleting that topic, it's closer to making the forums look better. Didn't know if reporting that topic would be important since it was a while ago, but I posted it here since it does help clean a part of the forum.
  20. Can this topic be deleted??? It does not contribute anything to competitive battling, and it also is not taken seriously by any players. If it shouldn't be deleted, at least move it to the Wastelands or something... It also targets other people in the thread.
  21. I think a Defensive Flygon set can work as well. I don't know the exact EVs to use for RU, but I think a set of Earthquake, Roost, Defog, and Fire Blast or Dragon Claw can work to act as a great support. U-Turn is also a cool option to act as a pivot. I don't know how well it would do in RU though, but I have used a defensive flygon in OU, and it occasionally does work.
  22. I don't see too many double posts, but it's always nice to be on the lookout for those since most double posts are one worded answers. Nice work I'm already on it http://prntscr.com/71mn7g
  23. Alright I got the two teams done. Waterfall OHKOs Talonflame anyway? So yeah... Also, try to apply offensive pressure with Serperior/Victini/Tornadus-Therian. Don't let the opponent get rid of the hazards away, as they are crucial to achieve some OHKOs or 2HKOs, maybe even break a Focus Sash user. Sweep with Gyarados when all checks and counters have been removed. Gyarados doesn't have to always sweep, but Dragon Dance users tend to break a lot of teams. This team might be somewhat weak to Mega Gardevoir, but if you have Stealth Rock up and make sure you play aggressively, you should be ok. Poison Jab on Weavile can work to beat Fairys if you want to replace Fake Out. Team covers each other well. Charizard Y helps Clefable get more recovery with Moonlight. Nice solid offensive sand team. It's pretty much your power core of Tyranitar+Excadrill with a bunch of pokemon that can beat counters to Excadrill and Tyranitar. I added Manaphy and Serperior because both are good set up sweepers who can overwhelm opponents with their high special attack with a boost, of course. Clefable sets up rocks and OHKOs annoying Landorus-I with Ice Beam, that can shit on this team otherwise lol.
