If this works, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be epic! Really, the terrain is all important in any kind of real fight, so it just makes sense it should be in Pokémon too. Bring it on Ame!
Ahmn, not sure if I should be posting this here, but anyway...
I've been reading this Aftermath for a while and would like to join, if there's no problem. Also I don't know if it's a good time to do it, but there's no trouble if you think I should wait for the next arc.
Congrats for everyone, the story is getting awesome!
Yeah, When I started this thread I meant it to be helpful for everyone, not only for me. I enjoyed everyone's tips a lot and thanks to it I'm having much fun there on the server! And always learning something new in each battle.
I'd never even seen a triple battle before, so that's other thing to learn. Now that I think of it, it would be nice to test/practice with other challengers, so everibody could test teams. In the ladder it seems to be hard, because other teams won't have the same limitations as a league team.
Ah, so we can change EVs and items between battles... That was something I was about to ask, thanks. About priority, it seems also a neat way to deal with trick room...
Another question: how do we deal with weather teams without having one too? I saw some teams in the Hall of Fame had both sunny day and rain dance, and it made me curious.
Yeah,it seems tough, but what would be the fun if it wasn't, right?
Thanks for the tips, I'm pretty new at competitive battle so it's always good to have a opinion from more experienced trainers. From what you've said I think I will wait until the new rules come out to actually go for building something, but I'm gonna try to practice battle and do some research on pokémon I don't know well (which is basically all gen 5 and 6 ).
Here's a question for that good people up in the Hall of Fame: what should one look for when building a team for the Reborn League? Which are the main diferences between a league team and a laddering one?
Welcome! I joined few time ago too, but people here are very nice as long as you don't try to understand what they are saying and helpful. Enjoy your stay, from noob to noob!
Good news (and thanks for not using any accent Ame, last one was a tough reading )! Now I think I'll be off for a while.
***Rushes off to try make a team***
Well, I guess the more information one can get, the better (even if it's just to know what other people are using). Thanks guys! Now just a technical question: How does the ladder work? Is it Win/Loss rate, overall victories or what?
Just started trying my team and man, that's much fun! Guess I'll get adicted very soon hehe.
@ Tenshine: Totally igored your advice .
He was my third battle and I didn't even know kkk.
Well, that viability thread really is a big help. Thanks Slant! By the way, just found your Hiper Ofense team on the RmT forum, and I like the idea behind it pretty much... I think I'll start of with one of these.
And yeah Berserker, I'll make sure to watch some battles between the pros! Thanks!
I did make some research on smogon (man, that site is huge!), and the Research Center here in the forums seems really nice to get ideas and sets different from theirs.
Now that about teambuilding around one or two pokémon is something i haven't heard of yet and is exactly the type of info I'm looking for! It's easy to get lost when you come from the games used to have a small team and suddenly you can pick from every single pokémon in existance. Thank's a lot!
Edit: Ah, another thing, where can I find the rules for the Reborn Server? I mean, things like allowing or not drizzle+Swift Swim etc...
Hello everybody!
So, this topic is pretty much what the name says, I've decided to give a try to competitive battle and would like to know what I should look at before I start being totally destroyed triyng it. This could be usefull for other newbies too.
Soo hope to be seeing you in the server soon!
