  1. True. After all games main goal is to be enjoyable, winning or loosing is just a consequence.
  2. Yeah, When I started this thread I meant it to be helpful for everyone, not only for me. I enjoyed everyone's tips a lot and thanks to it I'm having much fun there on the server! And always learning something new in each battle.
  3. Thanks Noivy! My time online is sort of irregular, but I'll try to be there.
  4. I'd never even seen a triple battle before, so that's other thing to learn. Now that I think of it, it would be nice to test/practice with other challengers, so everibody could test teams. In the ladder it seems to be hard, because other teams won't have the same limitations as a league team.
  5. Ah, so we can change EVs and items between battles... That was something I was about to ask, thanks. About priority, it seems also a neat way to deal with trick room... Another question: how do we deal with weather teams without having one too? I saw some teams in the Hall of Fame had both sunny day and rain dance, and it made me curious.
  6. Yeah,it seems tough, but what would be the fun if it wasn't, right? Thanks for the tips, I'm pretty new at competitive battle so it's always good to have a opinion from more experienced trainers. From what you've said I think I will wait until the new rules come out to actually go for building something, but I'm gonna try to practice battle and do some research on pokémon I don't know well (which is basically all gen 5 and 6 ).
  7. Here's a question for that good people up in the Hall of Fame: what should one look for when building a team for the Reborn League? Which are the main diferences between a league team and a laddering one?
  8. Wow, I didn't know there were so many brazilians here. Where are you guys from?
  9. In fact everything is quite right, but São Paulo is actually bigger than Rio. You're well informed mister.
  10. Welcome! I joined few time ago too, but people here are very nice as long as you don't try to understand what they are saying and helpful. Enjoy your stay, from noob to noob!
  11. Good news (and thanks for not using any accent Ame, last one was a tough reading )! Now I think I'll be off for a while. ***Rushes off to try make a team***
  12. Well, I guess the more information one can get, the better (even if it's just to know what other people are using). Thanks guys! Now just a technical question: How does the ladder work? Is it Win/Loss rate, overall victories or what? Just started trying my team and man, that's much fun! Guess I'll get adicted very soon hehe. @ Tenshine: Totally igored your advice . He was my third battle and I didn't even know kkk.
  13. Ok, I just finished putting a team together, though I'm too tired now to try it off. Tomorrow then, time to get to work!
  14. Well, that viability thread really is a big help. Thanks Slant! By the way, just found your Hiper Ofense team on the RmT forum, and I like the idea behind it pretty much... I think I'll start of with one of these. And yeah Berserker, I'll make sure to watch some battles between the pros! Thanks!
  15. I did make some research on smogon (man, that site is huge!), and the Research Center here in the forums seems really nice to get ideas and sets different from theirs. Now that about teambuilding around one or two pokémon is something i haven't heard of yet and is exactly the type of info I'm looking for! It's easy to get lost when you come from the games used to have a small team and suddenly you can pick from every single pokémon in existance. Thank's a lot! Edit: Ah, another thing, where can I find the rules for the Reborn Server? I mean, things like allowing or not drizzle+Swift Swim etc...
  16. Mr. Bigglesworth Dream Team! 1- Garbodor 2- Skitty 3- Jigglypuff 4- Marill 5- Happiny 6- Pichu Totally unpractical, just thinking about his happiness.
  17. Hello everybody! So, this topic is pretty much what the name says, I've decided to give a try to competitive battle and would like to know what I should look at before I start being totally destroyed triyng it. This could be usefull for other newbies too. Soo hope to be seeing you in the server soon!
  18. Wow that looks... dark. Hope we'll not have to fight a reserve dark leader...
  19. Ok, got it. >Notus used Seismic Toss! >Sanity fell out of the 2nd floor window! >The wild Sanity fainted!
  20. Mudkip, Swampert is my favorite poke overall.
  21. Ducklett. No particular reason, I just find it annoying.
  22. Once my favorite was Dragonite, but when I played gen 3 I fell in love with Swampert... And now in Reborn even more. Besides that awfull weakness to grass types, it's an extremely reliable Pokémon and got me trough some really sticky situations...
  23. Thanks guys! You're right Cobra Crunch is a much better move, probably a good thing that I resist dark attacks . By the way, what is that "sanity" you all talk about so much? PS: Vinny, that post along with that Weavile pic got really scary!
  24. Hello, greetings everybody! I've been playing the Reborn game since episode 9, also reading the forums for quite a while and finally decided to board the train! I've been out of pokémon games since gen 3 because, well, I travelled in a sailing boat with my family and we had so many things to do that there was not much time to play anithing (besides, salt water and expensive electronics do not get along very well). Last year we got back to land and I started playing hacks in my pc, so I eventually stumbled into Reborn. I have to say it's by far my favorite Pokémon game, the story, the characters and the battles are in a completely new level for me, and I Iove every little bit of it! Congratulations on the awesome work you guys are doing. I'm studying for an admittance exam to college, so I'll probably not be posting as much as i want to, but I'll try to keep up with the forums as best I can. So, without further ado, i'll get out of this train before it blows up. Ah, just a last thing, english is not my first language so if I say something weird, please feel free to correct me!
