    So the new Disney theme appears to be "Surprise! The prince is an asshole!" and you know what? I like it. I'd let my daughter watch this.

      The whole thing drew attention to the old tradition of disney princesses just marrying guys that they had only met that same day, and also I think it's disneys way of trying to connect with folks who dont want thier kids going off into the world thinking that prince charming will sweep them off their feet, or that if you just stay with "the beast" long enough eventually he'll be perfect for you.
