    Is there a good place before Shade where I can level my pokemon? And if there is, what lv do you recommend my pokemon to be at?

      Yes. If you go underneath the grand staircase, follow the right path down the ledges, and go down the ladders. There are only Unowns there and they give great experience.

      I believe the level cap for shade is 35, so I would stop when your Pokemon reach level 34 to be sure they don't over level during the gym battle.

      Maybe at the Unowns below the Grand Starway, or, if I remember correctly, there's a "secret" garden in north obsidia ward or the Onix ward... There are grass and bug types at level 18 and 20 IIRC

      what I thought, I don't know the types very well. Psychic is still good, but I don't know If you can get the elemental punches, that is what he typicially picks up for his other moves.

      Calm Mind, Psychic, and 2 elemental punches if you can trade to emerald or are willing to breed them. Otherwise... Recover and trick maybe? He doesn't have much coverage without them.

      After the 2 gym would be a good thing to level Gyara, since you'll probably need him for upcoming battles. And if you have a reasonable amount of money, take Golbat to the salons and get the happyness/friendship level high enough

    Do some NPCs randomly disappear? I knew there was suppose to be a bug catcher outside the Opal Ward that complains about Bidoofs and Ratattas

      The day/night cycle and the weather both affect NPCs. That bug catcher isn't there when it rains or at night.
