  1. Choosing between Sylveon and Gallade? Why not best of both? If you don't have a female Kirlia, breed one and get a Gardevoir. EV train for Sp Atk and Sp Def or Spd. Misty Terrain to negate annoying field effects. Calm mind and Moonblast for sweeps. Plus the mega evolution whenever megas are implemented.
  2. Well, no its wonder your having a hard time. You have 2 rock types and an electric type vs a ground gym. Do you have any mons in rotation?
  3. There is no perfect team, so trying to put together the most efficient team ever is a waste of time. I would say pick your favorites that have the most versatility, optimize them with ev training and such, and call it a day. The rest can always be called in if you need an edge. No need to get rid of them. Your best bet, in my opinion, would be swampert, clefable, arcanine and one of the eeveelutions. I would also for sure put in magnezone if your looking for versatility, but your not much for that so its up to you. You could just keep the ampharos in that case That last one would be either gengar, swalot, or crobat. You couldn't go wrong in the upcoming episode with a poison type as a fairy gym is very possible. You for sure don't want to get rid of pokemon with a mega-evolution, eg, mawile or gengar. I don't believe mega evolutions are coming in e16, but it would be a huge waste to throw them out now, and they would definitely give you an edge down the line.
  4. Yeah. I leveled up linoone to 100 to maximize the chances. I did that before this, grinding ev's with him just chilling in the back picking up items. Is that a shofu reference? Lel. I've thought through having 2 water types and understand it may be a potential weakness. Samurott's name is Django for a reason, he's my starter (all the way back to episode 8) and kingdra's water typing is kind of moot because of his dragon typing. Having both a physical and special water type could prove useful. Diggersby is an interesting idea though. I never played gen 6, so i've messed around with a few types from there on reborn with most of them being underwhelming. Dragalge was the most promising, with its adaptability and interesting typing. Its speed was atrocious though... I had a donphan on my team for most of my playthough. It mostly just served to be a HM slave with rock smash and strength. I used it as a switch in to electric types and earthquake spam. Its lack of buff moves really held it back. If diggersby can learn swords dance and has huge power i might try it out. Oh. I never really did much research or bothered with Ev's in the base games. They were often a breeze comparison to reborn. I did optimize the natures, or at least to a tolerable degree. The psychologist is random so it sometimes took half an hour to get at least manageable natures. What would you recommend I change?
  5. With some progress being made on the latest installment and Pokemon GO launching I decided to do a little optimizing on my reborn squad since I struggled a bit towards some of the later gym leaders. (Reborn's Ev's are quite odd as they give you 2 extra points than normal games) Any feedback would be appreciated! Crobat (ProBat) (Shiny) Nature: Naive Ability: Infiltrator Item: N/A Evs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd 6 Sp Def Moves: Acrobatics Roost Fly Cross Poison Leafeon (Cannabis) Nature: Adamant Ability: Chlorophyll Item: Leftovers Evs: 252 Atk, 252 Def, 6 Spd Moves: Leaf Blade Synthesis Quick Attack Swords Dance Typhlosion (Feurer) Nature: Rash Ability: Flash Fire Item: Leftovers Evs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Def Moves: Cut Eruption Sunny Day Flamethrower Kingdra (SeaBiscuit) Nature: Mild Ability: Sniper Item: Scope Lens Evs: 252 Sp atk, 252 Spd, 6 Def Moves: Surf Agility Dragon Pulse Focus Energy Glaceon (Desoxyn) Nature: Modest Ability: Ice Body Item: Leftovers Evs: 252 Sp Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Sp Def Moves: Hail Blizzard Shadow Ball Frost Breath Samurott (Django) Nature: Naughty Ability: Shell Armor Item: Leftovers Evs: 252 Atk, 252 Spd, 6 Def Moves: Dive Waterfall False Swipe Swords Dance
  6. No, it will work just fine. Breeding the arcanine might be an issue if its male tho. I'm not an expert on breeding, but im pretty sure that the egg will always be the female's species unless you breed with a ditto.
  7. Ludicolo could be used to set up a pseudo rain team with blastoise and lapras since they both have abilities than benefit from rain. Thats a potential route you could take with the team. You would more than likely have to switch out at least one of your fire types, however, as having 2 of those on a team like that could be disastrous. Meowstic is near useless late game as its stats and moveset are pretty sub-par. Swalot could be a decent switch in for one of your fire types if you wanted to go the rain team route. Its an egg you get from the police station if you bring them a growlithe egg after you complete their questline. It randomly gives you one of 16 or so pokemon, some of which are good and cant be found anywhere else in the game as of yet.
  8. With those levels i'd assume you finished ep. 15? If so, and you have access to reborn city again, I would try to optimize their ev's and natures with the psychologist in 7th street. Also, i'd consider having at least 5 different types in a 6 mon squad. having 2 water types and 2 fire types can be easily exploited if you arn't prepared for a counter. Also what were the mons you have been switching for the 6th one?
  9. Rain Dance is a TM, you can acquire it by helping out team aqua i think... Also, i've tried the Gyarados method. I always get down to her rotom and she obliterates me. If all else fails, i've tried another method of using her own tactics against her. Get a fire type with flash fire, a flame plate, and flamethrower will 1-2 hit KO her whole team with the field effect boost.
