  1. Wow! You act like a real jerk! And I beleived people started realizing how stupid they look with an attitude like that, since I find less and less toxic people in the ladder...

Eh, I was the one who swept. HE had been taunting me before the fight, and still went all cocky on multiple turns.

  2. I have to say most surprising for me is assault vest Dragonite. It tanks fairy and ice moves and usually OHKOs/ 2HKOs anything that comes at it

    723f1b792e4ffde4ea96240dbea37b2b683462b4

Please tell me you are joking. The main reason Dragonite is so good at tanking is due to having Roost to repair Multiscale and increase his durability to absurd levels. Assault Vest Dragonite must be the worst Dragonite set since... well, since the bulky Evs+Calm nature Agility set that got posted some months ago, but that's besides the point.

  3. HUH, where do I start...

First thing, what is the point on outspeeding Garchomp with Toxicroak if you lack Ice Punch?

I can't describe on educate terms on what i think on HP ice landorus. Dragonite takes about 50% max without multiscale, that should be a proof of how weak it hits.

Can you explain me the reason to waste Tornadus' speed? those HP won't make a difference... FOR THE LOVE OR ARCEUS. CHANGE THAT NATURE!

Consider running speed EVs on Rotom. Gliscor can stall the Hydro Pumps and you really have nobody that can reliably take on Gliscor.

Use Earth Power on Diancie. You will hit Scizor very hard anyway, plus Rotom can wall it out.

By the way, Heart Stamp sucks. Ice Punch is a better alternative to beat bulky ground types (no, Landorus won't be there to kill Gliscor in the long run. All the scorpion needs is to hit with Toxic on the switch, use Protect to reveal the HP ice, and on the next switch stall your entire team to death)

Oh, and nobody with more than two functional neurones will think this Landorus is Scarfed. You have no other bulky pokemon that can pass for a Stealth Rock setter for them to confuse it.

Rating: I WANT TO BE STALLED/10

  4. First thing of all, replace Thunderbolt with Discharge. The damage difference is minimal and the paralysis chance is tripled.

    Other threats:

Jirachi. Troll/10, barely takes 45% from the EQ or HP fire, and he can cause you heavy damage too if she packs Calm Mind or U-turn, and can hax your entire team to death with paralysis.

Bulky waters: In general HAX Sweep/10.

    Specific examples:

Suicune destroys this team with Calm Mind, no questions asked. Same thing for M- Slowbro, except you can't even hope for a crit with Discharge.

Quagsire walls your entire team, even Latias thanks to that weird set. The game will be reduced to "how many times can Azumarrill switch in to try to flinch it with Waterfall until she gets burned".

    Very Bulky Seel types

Empoleon. Like Jirachi, he is too bulky for Dugtrio and Magnezone to OHKO, and neither can take two Scalds in the face and live to tell the tale.

Scizor. The moment they see Magnezone they will start using U-turn like crazy. Likely to Rotom-W to troll you even more. You send Latias, then Volt to Scizor, Pursuit, and Rotom walls you. GG

Dragon types. Azumarrill and Weavile can be easily worn down, and if the dragon is called Charizard X packing EQ and Roost, it is a 6-0 in situ, as he is too bulky for Dugtrio to take it out, even with the sash intact. Without EQ the only difference is that he will need a little prior damage in Azumarrill, nothing else.

Consider a tyranitar instead of weavile, preferably a choice band set with Superpower to keep the anti-Ferrothorn option, with the bonus of Tyranitar easily luring him in.

Also consider a physical tank instead of that useless piece of trash known as Dugtrio. You need a stronger ground-type. I would recommend Swampert. I recently saw a set with Refresh that proved quite an annoyance for my defogger, Empoleon, whose main modus operandi for bulky SR users is Toxic/Scald them on a switch to slowly wear them down every time they switch on my Defog to replace the rocks. Additionally, Swampert can act as a reliable check for Chari.

  5. this team actually isnt even really bad. it loses hard to medicham outside of latios and i guess zapdos can beat it 1v1 if you static para but all in all its not really bad.

its whatever though if anyone plays you and gets static on dos they jus click the x and call you a scumbag because you are, no one uses static dos good god LOL mega medicham counter is switch in on the hjk and hope to god you para. looks really fun tho

Everybody looses to M-Medicham. Seriously, since Aegislash got banned nothing in the game except really bulky psychic types can take a High Jump Kick/(insert wathever coverage move he has here) and live to tell the tale.

The team is good, but why that title? This team is quite fast actually, and has priority to eliminate faster pokemon...

But please, there are better ways to kill Talonflame than Stone Edge. You considered Hidden Power Rock? It is not as easy to stall out and never misses.

  6. PiKKchu (Pikachu) @ Flame Orb
    Ability: Lightning Rod
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Tackle
    - Quick Attack
    - Spark
    - Substitute

    SmashMelee (Pichu) @ Sticky Barb

    Ability: Static
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Thunder Wave (pikachu's custom special 2, the only that truly exists in pokemon)
    - Agility
    - Skull Bash
    - Thunder Shock (I refuse to give either of those angelcakeholes something decent)
Because those two rats didn't suck enough already
  7. Forcing the metagame to shift just to counter specific pokemon or moves is unhealthy for the game, as it does not allow other strategies to appear or work properly.

Shadow Tag is much superior to Arena Trap, and as I said, it's not Wobbufett we worry about, since it's in the same league as Duggy. Gothitelle was the mere reason ultimate trapping was stopped, and Wobba was the collateral damage. They could enforce a complex ban of Shadow Tag + Trick but they chose to ban the ability whatsoever. It works for the metagame since it's easy to adapt.

Wait till September 30th for (hopefully) new movements inside the tiers.

I disagree, as the alternative is having many MANY battles lost or won from turn 1. Restricting the number of viable pokemon is not as bad as it sounds man...

Plus they could have just banned Gothitelle if they TRULY wanted simplicity. Not like anybody uses it even on PU

And then what? Suffer yet another generation dominated by dozens of unskilled players voting to ban everything they don't use? The more we wait, the worse this problem will become.

  8. You tried with Sacred Sword, Haze, quick set up sweepers, and Prankster Taunt?

Against Deniss Team, all you needed was a strong and decently fast fighting type to smack Smeargle the moment he came in. The best option? the Musketeers with a setup move, to counter Memento. with SubCM Keldeo being the most obvious response. Simply using CM on the Memento works:

    -1 252 SpA Keldeo Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 120 Def Smeargle: 320-378 (101.9 - 120.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Even giving max HP to the stantard sticky web lead does not allow a survivance.

You can also go a little crazy and run Roar Gliscor if you really hate it. Remember, one single dirsuption is all you need against a team with one single BP user. The problem persists somehow? well, one thing is clear, the main problem of this set is Geomancy, that already was considered for a ban in UU...

All the things said to dugtrio (team preview makes it much easier to bait) also apply to shadow tag, plus wobba was also trolled by the ban, and he already was barely viable. Isn't that unfair too? I tought Noobsgon was against banning things that didn't deserve it, and was completely against collateral damage, especially when people commented on banning King's Shield, because clearly Smeargle needs that move to survive in the meta...

Please, they have gone nuts, and we all know it. And as discussed before, this website DIDN'T follow those rules when we were on PO, and nobody was asked on the matter when we got forced to move to Showdown due to the update problem.

In my opinion, the bans should be simple and reserved for only special cases.

We agree on this one. Too bad Noobsgon doesn't.

  9. Reborn: the storyline, and the field effects, of course.

Level reducing candies for LC matches with ESpeed+BD Zigzagoon.

And as a bonus, improved AI. If they feel ballsy, include a Harder than Hard mode Maybe giving the AI specific subroutine with a certain % chance of activating every turn, that if it activates they can "predict" your attack and send in the pokemon that best survives it, use certain ways to block it if it can (Substitute on status, Roost on an electric move, etc), always knowing if one ot their attacks can one shot the opponent or cause it heavy damage without consequences, and always knowing if one enemy attack will do the same and taking ways to prevent it, in short words, give them a chance of doing Perfect Play AI on each turn.

For best results, make that chance being 10% for most of the initial trainers and all Team wathever grunts, but being around 30 for your rival, Team wathever admins and leader, Ace Trainers and Veterans, battle wathever opponents, scattered-in-the-gym trainers, 50% for leaders, elite four, battle wathever leaders , the last rival duel before E4, and common trainer rematches, and 75% for champion, bonus bosses, and rematches against E4, gym leaders and rival. Plus access to Megas and Z moves to ALL trainers from the point you get access to them onwards. Or make all team wathever members including leaders 0% plus a 50% chance for the grunts of doing an Epic Fail like sending a Geodude in your Surf, cuz they are supposed to be complete idiots.

  10. We did it on BW, we did it on XY until the lack of updates for Linux server-making for PO combined with the King's Shield glitch forced Amethyst to close it indefinitely, and we can do it again in Showdown if we truly go for it. All we need is a little more confidence in ourselves and our spirit.

We could even make a custom tier with Reborn's field effects to give players extra interest in our server.

  11. Thanks for agreeing with me that trapping is broken :) The differences between Diggies and Gothitelle is that Gothitelle was better equipped to ppstall the victim and the moles just attack to kill their victims.

Also a free switch in is not that hard to do. Especially in LC with all the slow Mienfoo and Chinchou. Take hit, Volt/Turn and one of your sweepers' checks is eliminated by LO EQ from the fastest little monster in the tier.

By the way, my comment has lost a part, i just corrected it there but if you feel too lazy to read it again:

or just plain griefing sets like a Rest+Trick+(insert two high PP moves there)+Shadow Tag+lunar dance support for Infinite PP stalling on the opposing team.

The "Satan" Calm Mind set is epic Pursuit bait for absolutely every Dark type pokemon ever, plain and clear.

Plus I personally would let these sets go free as only the most passive of all pokemon can fall for it, especially Slowbro's. I will never understand how the fudge were smogonites dumb enough to not simply send their set up sweeper, Toxic inducer, phazer, Special wallbreaker, or VoltTurn user right at the turn Slowbro switches in and tries to use Block... Seriously, if you go around without ANY of those, your team sucks plain and clear. Tough if the response is that the old school councils have been replaced by a bunch of scrubby noobs, it would certainly explain why they have become so addicted to banning lately.

As for VoltTurn support: you are focusing on the problem wrong. The answer is giving the trapped pokemon a way to fight off the trapper. See below how I did it on BW:

Chandelure's hidden ability was never official released in gen 5! I don't know if you were playing another metagame, but Shadow Tag Chandelure was never a thing in OU.

As for trapping, I don't consider Arena Trap to be as broken as Shadow Tag. 1st of all you can't trap anything you want like Shadow Tag, and 2nd Duggy as the main Arena Trapper in OU is very very very weak!!! It doesn't ensure OHKOs even with SE Earthquakes (unless it's x4 effective) and it is literally get one shoted by anything, meaning it needs Sash to survive. And with hazzards being dominant I don't think it can easily keep its HP at max.

As for the easy-banning policy, I'm also against it. But this is what most people want, so if I want to play with less clauses it is my problem to find people that want to play with those rules...

WOW. You have really never played on BW OU in our Pokemon Online server right? We DID allow it, along with other DW unreleased pokemon as well as many banned pokemon like Genesect, weather abusers of all kinds, and Baton Pass, even after suffering a prototype of Deniss known as Crep, who even packed a Clear Smog pokemon to disrupt my bulky Dragonite from sweping after counter-passing with a ditto.

My favourite set was a custom Bronzong designed to disable rain and sand climatic teams AND act as a Chandelure bait: Fire blast does around 60% while EQ does around 52% in return. Add an Occa Berry and we survive the two fire attacks and get the KO.

  12. Trapping is not broken, it never was... Unless you are reckless enough to give clear safe switch ins to the trappers, but who would be careless enough to do that, especially on that forum? Come on! On BW we had CHANDELURE in OU and nobody complained, the veterans simply lured him in with good double switches to lethal checks... Seriously, I used him on my legendary BW OU team and what everyone considered broken was my custom Dragonite, not my Chandelure.

Speaking of wich. MAny people, me included, dislike the Smogon's ban-addiction of ORAS and XY. Ironically, by "not wanting to go the slippery slope on BW by banning Drizzle" they ended worse in ORAS than anybody would have guessed, especially with that absurd speedpass clause for a playstyle that already had been nerfed to oblivion; I wonder what would have happened if they had seen Crep's Ultimate Evil (basically denisspass, except with a Drifblim packing Clear Smog to prevent a counter-pass) on BW. We should reconsider reopening our old politics: minimal bans, only for the REALLY broken stuff like Salamencite, Gengarite or Kangaskhanite, orjust plain griefing sets like "FunBro" or a Rest+Trick+(insert two high PP moves there)+Shadow Tag+Infinite PP stalling on the opposing team. Not for Mawilite, Graninja, 2 or - baton passers, Aegislash, or non-Baton Pass Blaziken.

Or better yet, create a limit list for the "overcentralizing mons", giving them some opportunity cost to counter the fact that they are so easy to use, thinking specifically on Landorus, Greninja, Aegislash, Sablenite, Mawilite, Baton passers, etc. limiting the teams to 2 each.

Our server has about 0 battles simply because it's easier to just go to the general server, with the same rules and much more population. If we want ours to revive, we need to distinguish ourselves from the Smogon tyrant.

  13. SJMistery those are some OP Megas. Primal Dialga is basically: Pass +2 Speed to Dialga -> Spam Roar of Time / Hyper Beam (Hyper Beam for fairies) -> Win

Mega Luvdisc still sucks, though. You're better off having an actual Will-O-Wisp user (that 55 SpA...).

The primals are SUPPOSED to be OP. The base forms are broken already anyway, so why not step it up a little? Plus those megas are intended to be with a TOTALLY DESERVED nerf to Baton Pass making it no longer able to pass any +2 boost or above. Espeon's Stored OPower won't be broken anymore with only 6-7 boosts right?

The others are more balanced, Dragonite might be broken but the restriction of having all 5 partners fainted for the ability to activate should balance it. The Dragonites is also supposed to be OP, it's basically Soul Dew for all pseudo-legends.

I like Mega Bastiodon but the lack of Sturdy can hinder the use of his best move: Metal Burst

  14. Mega Delibird:

    Ice-Bug

Santa's Gift (Defeatist+Truant+Slow Start+blocks any move not called Present. Present now is guaranteed to heal the opponent

All stats increased by 20. I don't care about them because it is just to make Delibird the worst pokemon ever, as Game Freak seems to have something against that guy for some reason.

Requeriment: nothing, it mega-evolves automatically on entering the battle with any move not called Present

    Mega Mimagius

    Ghost-Psychic

Incorporeal (blocks all contact moves entirely. Affected by Mold Breaker)

    60 HP

    60 attack

    70 (+10) defense

    135 (+30) special attack

    135 (+30) special defense

    135 (+30) speed

    Mega Beautifly

    bug-fairy

Beautiful Trap (If Beautifly has either full HP or less than half, all attacking moves directed to it have 60% chance to miss regardless of accuracy, excluding unavoidable moves. Particularly terryfing in a set with Quiver Dance, Substitute and Morning Sun)

    60 HP

    70 attack

    70 (+20) defense

    135 (+35) special attack

    70 (+20) special defense

    90 (+25) speed

New Move: Morning Wind (hitts both targets in doubles, applies bug or fairy type damage depending on which one is more effective against every targetted opponent separately, heals 50% damage inflicted, 70 base power 100% accuracy 15 PP)

    Requeriment: Beautiflite.

    Mega Marowak

    Ground-Rock

Sharp Mind (Analytic clone, both abilites are upgraded with added benefit of 10%+accuracy when the power boost requeriments on XY and ORAS are met)

    60 HP

    90 (+10) attack

    130 (+20) defense

70 (+30) special attack (physical attack of 80 base multiplied x2.5 is already enough)

    90 (+10) special defense

    65 speed (+20)

    Requeriment: Bone Club/ Marowakite.

    Mega Luvdisc

Serene Grace (60% burn chance, who's laughing now?)

    43 HP

84 (+54) attack (otherwise it would maybe even be broken lol)

    75 (+20) defense

    55 (+10) special attack

    75 (+10) special defense

103 (+6) speed (take that garchomp)

    Required item: Luvdisquite OP

    Mega Dragonite:

    same typing

Dragon Spirit (when Dragonite attacks with a non-status move, the attack ignores the opponent's typing if Dragonite's five partners have fainted. It is useless on anything other than 6 vs 6 battles. If one partner is revived, the effect dissapears.).

    94 HP

    168 (+34) attack

    105 (+10) defense

    130 (+30) special attack

    105 (+5) special defense

    101 (+21) speed

That way we prevent the annoying "any remotely usefull offensive ability given to that damn beast will push it to ubers for sure, as he can abuse Multiscale to boost then replace it to attack" issue. He rises as the last trump card of the match, ready to turn the tables on times of true desesperation

Requeriment: Dragonitite (can't really understand why nobody tought of calling the stone that way to prevent repetitions) or Dragonites (custom item, see below)

    Primal Dialga

    same typing

Temporal Paradox (creates 5-turn effect Temporal Paradox, makes all charge and recharge moves skip the charge-recharge turn and makes them flinch 100% of the time)

    100 HP

    150 (+30) attack

    160 (+40) defense

    200 (+50) special attack

    100 special defense

    70 (-20) speed

Requeriment: Adamant Orb. Same rules as any primal form.

    Primal Palkia

Space Warp (activates Trick Room on switch-in)

    90 HP

    170 (+50) attack

    130 (+30) defense

    200 (+50) special attack

    130 (+10 special defense

    60 (-40) speed

Requeriment: Lustrous Orb (gasp, what a surprise)

Primal Giratina (now origin forme giratina's sprite becomes primal giratina's sprite)

Reverse Zone (another 5 turn effect field, all special attacks now run on physical attack and viceversa, meaning only defensive pokemon, mixed attackers and foul play users can confront that monster)

    150 HP

    140 (+20) attack

    130 (+10) defense

    140 (+20) special attack

    130 (+10) special defense

    90 speed

    Requeriment: guess what

Extra: now all special items work as megastones for the respective pokemon, meaning soul dew mega latios is possible, and the three orbs keep the original effect while providing primal reversion, as well as Thick Club mega marowak.

Effect of "Dragonites": increases 20% speed, attack and special attack of all dragons, and acts as a mega-stone for all the ones capable of mega-evolving except the lati twins, rayquaza and the sinnoh legendaries. Banned in battle tower and wifi matches a-la-Soul Dew.

  15. Defensive Empoleon walls most of your team. The only pokemon that can defeat it is Metagross, who cannot switch in on it at all, and even on 1 vs 1 defeating him is risky due to scald doing a ton of damage+possible burn, with EQ not even coming close to OHKOing Empoleon first. As you just said, Swampert is definitely a must-have on this team replacing Crobat, preferably with Rest or Heal Bell support to combat the burn-inducing Scald better.

  16. And on Second thought, Cute Charm is probably a better ability on Sylveon. I'm Favoring MoonBlast over Hyper Voice due to its higher Base Power and Chance to decrease special attack. If Sylveon Doesn't have offensive normal type moves, What is the point of pixilate? Cute Charm can be far more useful.

ARE YOU JOKING? Pixilate turns Hyper Voice, a tutor move in ORAS thus trivial to obtain, into a fairy type attack and gives it almost 120 base power, not counting the STAB boost of being now Fairy type attack on a Fairy pokémon, with the unique property of bypassing Substitute. That against an ability that:

    - Requires the opponent to be the other gender.

    - Requires the opponent to use a contact move.

    - Requires relying on a 30% chance to activate.
