Marcus crossed into the tunnel and looked about for a moment, surveying his surroundings. This didn't take long as a large group of people just ahead caught his attention. He thought that he might have recognized one of them, but who the man was slipped from his thoughts before he could grasp the memory. I could probably take them out all at once, he thought, striding forward. Let's catch them off guard, though. "Hello, everybody," he called out with a friendly tone, starting a brisk jog into the group. "It's good to see other people in here!" Mentally, Marcus prepared himself, in case any of them knew who he was and what he did. -
I will take over this RP if it dies off, plans or no. I think the concept is quite interesting.

Leaving a RP is counterproductive to your stated reason of there being no activity. If you're going to complain about a lack of activity, do something about it.

Xavier gave Sigurd a bitter look. "Remind me of why we decided to take a powerful lich with us?" The point was a sore spot between himself and the other templar. "I still don't like the idea of that. Perhaps you should consider the consequences of your actions before you charge into them," the elf said, blissfully unaware of the mountainous quantities of irony in that statement.

We don't have a section for serious discussions about politics and stuff. It spills over into statuses where it doesn't really need to be, so why not take the backchannel approach? Let's get a section dedicated to intellectual, serious conversation. This would have pretty strict moderation policy on it, I would presume, simply because loose modding policy tends to kill off seriousness and can lead to people escalating things past where they need to be when a topic like politics comes up.

You wake up in a darkened cavern, unsure of where exactly you are. Your eyes take a moment to adjust to the gloom. As this happens, you notice that the cave seems to have a soft light that doesn't really appear to emanate from anywhere. You can almost feel a faint thrumming of energy in the mostly-featureless room. The floor and walls are smooth, as if they have been subjected to an enormous pressure. Looking up, you see that the place you are is truly massive; the ceiling is at least a hundred feet above you, and the closest section of wall behind you is a similar distance away. In what appears to be the center of the room, you can make out a humanoid figure. Closer to you is the more familiar shape of Deoxys, who is still in the agile form you saw it in last. You take a moment to check yourself and look for those who traveled with you, then right yourself.

Anyone who is waiting to enter the RP and is still interested, speak now or forever hold your peace. (Well, hold it until the next chapter, at least.) Chapter Two is in the works. -
"Very well." The ground shook, forcing most of those who had them off of their feet. It seemed like the mountain was near coming apart - and that wasn't far from the truth. The truth was far more severe. A strange tear opened up in the space ahead of Deoxys, seemingly absorbing all of the nearby light. "Quickly. We must move through the rift before it destabilizes further." After saying it, the alien Pokemon shifted into a lithe, streamlined forme and flew into the darkness, vanishing for what seemed like an eternity. "Hurry," it sent through the rift, startling the group into motion. One by one, you all took the plunge, and then everything was dark. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ END OF CHAPTER ONE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think just flat out removing anything that has a less than 30% chance of happening would be a good start. The next and probably final step would be applying a pseudo-RNG system similar to that of Warcraft 3 and Dota 2 (both highly competitive games) that increases the chance of a random event happening the more times it has a chance to. (E.g, first attack has a 5% chance to crit, then 10, then 15. I don't know the exact formula used to fix these to the proper percentages.)
