  1. I might try this one out. Sarcus again, but this time I'll be a Skarmory guardian.
  2. "I thought I had heard something about that. My dad is a Dragon Tamer; he met and battled Emerald once. Apparently he's amazingly skilled. Who's Shimmer?" Sarcus asked as he walked with Grace. "And do you know the way to P.E.? I've never been here before; I just arrived on this island earlier today."
  3. Sarcus awoke groggily. He blinked a bit, and tried to stretch. Upon doing this, he discovered that his arms were bound behind his back, which were in turn around a chair. His brow furrowed, trying to remember how he had ended up here. His mind was a bit hazy and slow; an uncomfortable feeling. An image came into his head, of men gunning down a scientist and his partner with tranquilizers, before doing the same to him. The Church. Tranquilizers. My partner. Absolution! He looked frantically around the room for his Absol, as his heart rate doubled. Breathing heavily from the sudden panic, he sto
  4. "Not necessarily. I meant more of a momentary respite, but eventually, yes. I'm not positive about it, but I'm pretty sure the person I was here to meet wanted to talk to me about Team Dusk. I get the feeling that you might be here for the same reason." Assuming you're not a Church spy, he added to himself. With the thought, he unconsciously checked the knives sheathed under his arms, then reached over to pet Absolution. The Dark-type stretched under his hand, then stood. He glanced down at his partner, and they shared a small nod. "I think we've waited here long enough." He very carefully loo
  5. "Thanks," Sarcus whispered. He read through the note twice, then patted himself down. He always lost his pencil. Locating one at last, he scratched his reply on the back of the note in sloppy handwriting. He held the note out to his side, toward Grace. It read: Thanks again for the quick overview. The material doesn't seem too difficult. This Team Shadow actually killed people? They sound a lot more dangerous than Aqua and Magma from home. Looks like we have the same schedule, too. After writing the note, he opened up the textbook and started reading from the beginning, skipping the introduc
  6. That seems like a good way to bring the groups together. Mind if I piggyback off of that?
  7. I know a RP that works just fine with people playing the "bad guys" (though in that one there ARE no "good guys).
  8. "It'd be rather difficult NOT to hear that," Sarcus quipped. Immediately after saying that, he mentally berated himself. He had aimed for humor but hit rudeness instead. He grimaced, then moved on. "I would want to go find out, but the crowd over there probably noticed too, and I'm not exactly comfortable with the idea of Church members finding out I'm here." Sarcus paused for a moment, thinking. "Miki," he asked, tentatively saying the foreign name, "maybe we should wait a bit, then go figure out what that was? Then we can get to someplace where simply being there isn't grounds for reeducatio
  9. Sounds fine to me. I've already got a Roll20 account, so we should be good. My connection should be fixed by the sunday after this one, too.
  10. ((Woo! It's not dead!)) Sarcus crested a hill overlooking the Academy and stopped for a moment to enjoy the view. Instead of following the fairly ponderous tour of the facilities, he had taken the first opportunity to explore the wilderness around the Academy. After all, it paid to get to know what Pokemon were found in the area, and being cooped up in a boat all the way from Slateport had left him aching both literally and figuratively for an opportunity to stretch his legs in solitude. Battles were discouraged aboard ships; blasts of fire and other such things tended to reduce the lifespans
  11. Too early and it's not happening. What time is it, exactly?
  12. I would like to join your campaign as well, if you can deal with my rather terrible connection at times. (It should be fixed soon.) However, I'm not really experienced with 3.5. I've played a lot of 4e. Do you still have room?
  13. If you just wrote in paragraph form, and added a few more descriptive lines, I think you would be good.
  14. Well, to be blunt, it might be because of your RP style. It seems more suited to a chatroom or in-game RP than a forum, tbh. Though, you can't really declare it dead this early.
