  1. I would probably say that would be a tie, because your kitten KO'd beldum. . . by catching 300lbs of metal with its face.
  2. Hmm. Could have sworn he would go for that. "Finish that Take Down, then!" The Steel-type came down like a meteor, using its considerable weight to drop at a daunting speed directly on top of Feroces.
  3. "It seems we've reached an impasse." Kage turned his head and whispered to Lucas. "Tell him to start an attack, then break it off almost immediately when the Shinx attacks and dive straight down, then hit his underside." The Ralts focused for a moment, delivering the message. The Beldum obeyed, starting another take down.
  4. The Beldum reeled from the attack and skidded into the dirt. Kage groaned with a pained expression on his face, but the skid gave him an idea. "al'Thor, fly up into the air!" It spun about for a moment, re-orienting itself, then obeyed. It came to a halt at a height that the opposing Shinx could just barely reach if it jumped.
  5. Usually, the philosophy is play-to-lose; e.g., the other players toss attacks/etc your way, and then you decide if you take the hit hard or not (or at all.) For example, in that situation: 1. You state what your Shinx does (use Fire Fang) 2. I see this, and decide that it hits, but doesn't burn (which is reasonable). If you set it up really well and/or the situation called for it, I would take a crit or a flinch. 3. I do whatever I do and the process repeats.
  6. You do realize I suggested removing 10% chances from the game entirely, right? So if it was up to me, Fire Fang would never leave a lasting burn.
  7. light metal on the thing that's neutral to fighting and resists grass?
  8. this is the perfect time for me to exploit the shit out of having a shiny rayquaza

  9. "Come on, man, Tail Whip? Ever read up on the Metagross line?" Kage half questioned, half taunted his friend. The Beldum seemed completely unfazed by the attack; its hard body was entirely unaffected by the buffeting. "Let's get this started for real. Hit it hard now that it's close!" Kage called out. The Beldum rotated in midair and suddenly accelerated, flying through the air with a large amount of force directly into the path of the attacking Shinx.
  10. lol clear body anw, sorry about the wait, I got lost on the way to an interview.
  11. "I think I'll go for a one-on-one. Lucas isn't much of a fighter, and working with al'Thor will be a challenge."
  12. Kage followed Ryan's voice and excited footsteps outside, pausing to put his shades as the Beldum floated along behind him, almost like a balloon on a string. It appeared that it and Lucas were engaged in some sort of mental conversation, as Lucas was shifting about and gesturing occasionally. He assumed al'Thor would be doing something similar if he had the limbs for it. Making his way out to the field, he waited for his partners to inform him of Ryan's choice. "Nice Shinx," Kage called out. "What do you think of al'Thor here?"
  13. Kage walked forward and waited for Lucas to point him in a direction. With reluctance, the Psychic-type did so, guiding his Trainer to the Steel-type table. There weren't many, probably because Steel is a bit on the rare side. Suddenly, Lucas started to get excited, and prodded Kage toward a particular ball. The reason was fairly clear, as the Ralts informed Kage that it contained another Psychic-type. "A Beldum? Sweet." He pounced on the ball before anyone else could grab it, then wove his way back through the throng of students before releasing his new partner. It started examining him with psychic waves immediately. "Hmm. Rand was pretty tough, and he had powers. How about I call you al'Thor?" The sensation changed a bit, seeming to indicate pleasure. "Awesome."
  14. I would like to point out that you just flipped off a blind guy.
  15. Magic Guard Torkoal would actually be pretty freaking awesome, come to think of it.
  16. "I've got it here," Ace said. "I keep it tucked into my feathers. Pretty secure there, unless I get knocked around. I'm too fast for that to happen, though," he said with the closest approximation of a smile that he could manage given the fact that he had no lips or teeth.
  17. Nathan awoke groggily. "I didn't sign up for this shit," he grumped as he forced himself to his feet. He looked around, checking on the condition of his GAOs. They seemed more startled than injured by the blast, but they would all definitely need some professional medical attention. He didn't know how that kind of exposure affected the creatures; it seemed like they were more resilient than people, but you never knew with animals. After quickly checking over each of them in turn, he realized that he did, in fact, have squadmates. Looking around, Nathan could see most of them getting up. "We've got to regroup here. There are still tangos unaccounted for, and being spread out like this isn't good with people wounded."
  18. Kage cut in again. "Or, you could hang out with me," he suggested jokingly, raising and lowering his eyebrow to clarify what exactly "hanging out" implied.
  19. Marcus dashed forward at full speed toward the downed titan, easily moving faster than any human could hope to move in an efficient, predatory lope. He circled the turtle-like creature once, ignoring the humans around it for the moment as he searched for a chink in the seemingly impenetrable armor plating.
  20. i can hear the sfx in skitty's avatar

  21. Kage heard his friends talking over the steadily increasing din of the gym and shuffled over to them, weaving through the knots of conversing students. He arrived just in time to catch Jacob's question. "I'll be hoping for a nice Steel-type." This statement resulting in Lucas giving his trainer a very concerned look and a similar psychic nudge. "Oh, relax, you'll be fine," he responded dismissively, without turning his head away from Jacob.
