    Can someone fill me in as to why Amaria's Vaporeon outsped my Hasty, ~200 ev, 24 iv Greninja (of the same level)?

     

    Vaporeon's highest achievable speed at level 87 isn't even close to what Gren's is now, I'm confused af lmao

      The field halves any pokemon's speed that isn't water type. Did your Greninja possibly use a non water type move before Vaporeon was sent out?

      it's simpler than it actually looks... just trace out a path to where they need to go (Those little holes in the ground) and then use sleep powder on them and push them along the same path way you walked

      It's really not too hard if you actually have the Powder Vial on hand. Just realize their are often ledges you can jump on.
