For the most part they are: HAs can be found in the wild and the ability capsules I wrote don't differentiate them from non-HAs.

Make a new thread in Troubleshooting and post your save there and I or someone else can take a look at it. That and you shouldn't have to touch your savefile when updating - it will still read from the same place.

It's theoretically possible that it'd affect Pokemon in your box and your party, but it shouldn't affect too many.

The changing of abilities is a result of code rewrites, not a bug. There's nothing to 'fix', so use ability capsules to correct any changed abilities. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I think Ame tried doing this once and it didn't really work out. I can see the benefit, especially for those who're savvy enough to know what to do with it, but I'm not sure this'd be worth the effort due to results of a previous attempt. Some people don't have the best internet, so it might take a decent chunk of time for them to get the new episode (I mean just consider how long it takes Ame to upload the stuff). I can understand this, but I'm just not sure it'd be worth doing.

An alternative to disabling that protection would be to select "Keep" when asked what to do with the file. I can assure you there is nothing harmful about the file unless you're desperately trying to protect your free time.

If you mean soft resetting for capsules to give you a different ability, then yeah you could try that as much as you want and it will not work. .... ? What bug are you talking about?
