    I mean, I'm all for improving gameplay with good ideas, but directly ripping things off other games is not the solution, the staff team would have to change it up quite a bit to make it unique and not as much of a mimic.

    Yes, this is true also. Saphira could always have a Mega Salamence, and Amaria could have a Mega Blastoise / Swampert. May not be an ace but still a monster.

    You can't blame people or call it annoying that people like using the superior starter, if it's a favored choice it's just how it is.

    If you have that Leavanny you got ages ago as a shadow, you can just burn it with Will-o-Wisp and just tank hits and avoid Solarbeams.
