{Flux and Murdoc} "Hmm? Oh n-no, it's nothing really!" Candice replied to Flux, forcing a weak smile through her tears. "Just w-wanted to say how proud I was of my Pokemon!" "Umm.. No offense, Candice, but it didn't look like that at all." Alina finally spoke up. "You looked upset more than anything..." "Hey, no need to point it out. If she doesn't want to talk about it, then leave her be." Lupus replied to his teammate. His Houndoom gave a snort of approval and made a funny face, attempting to make Candice laugh. Miki had followed wordlessly behind Flux, remaining silent all the while. She didn't want to say something at first, afraid that she could upset the kind gym leader even further. "Ms. Candice, i-if you want to talk about it, you can... We wouldn't mind helping you after what you have done for us..." ------------------ Outside of the gym, the citizens of Snowpoint were hovering around the fallen Dusk member by the conclave. Some were eyeing the nearby Crobat warily, others were whispering and pointing to the body. Suddenly, a loud, commanding voice could be heard above the din. "MOVE IT! The offering is this Saturday, not today!" Several onlookers quickly moved to make a path for the patrol squad to view Drake's lifeless body. A taller acolyte, presumably the leader, stepped forward to assess the situation. She stopped just short of where the blood stained the pure white snow, wrinkling her nose in disgust as the smell of decaying tissue reached her nostrils. The acolyte was already furious about the rebels escaping her back in the mountains, and she comes back to deal with this. This was just not her day... She jammed her steel-tipped boot into the man's body, hoping to release some stress, when a flying purple blob then knocked her back a few feet. "W-WHO DID THAT!?" she screamed angrily as she attempted to catch her breath. Her eyes then fell upon an equally annoyed-looking Crobat. "Ohhh~ So he was your trainer." The bossy acolyte finally looked up at the conclave. "I see... So the rebels are finally making their move, no wonder our Mother killed him then. Well, it's not like our Mother could be taken down that easily. " she scoffed at the feeble attempt up above their heads. The woman then invited her patrol group to come closer with a wave of her hand. "Let's clean this up; Mother Diana would love to examine this body. And we even have a Crobat as a cherry on top." She grinned at the Crobat, who was preparing to counterattack...

Avis growled as the Bulldoze messed up flight her feathers. Otherwise, she shook herself loose and took into the air once again, ready to execute an order. "Ready?" Danielle asked. Her Murkrow nodded; her attention was finally focused on the opponent (or maybe it was the whole time and Danielle didn't know). "Dive bomb!" Avis took off after the Drilbur as she became engulfed in streaks of white light (Aerial Ace - anime version). As she came closer and closer to the ground type, the Murkrow mentally prepared herself to sidestep on short notice, just in case...

33 Commander will probably try to take down these trees so that Avis couldn't hide. The thing is, crows are really adaptable

Danielle even rolled her eyes at the bird, although Avis didn't seem bothered by the Drilbur that is setting up all. Either that or Avis was just too distracted. She finally gave a 2 short whistle notes to get the bird's attention. Avis heard what was happening around her alright, but wasn't too worried. She was a bird that lived her life in the trees, after all. Danielle's whistling, however, finally made her turn around to face Burrows. She then perched on top of the drone and waved her wings furiously. Black feathers began making their way over to Burrows, attempting to latch onto his fur (FeatherDance).

26 Chim says that he has to make it hard for us, then gives Commander and me the forest field, which is Avis' natural habitat. This bird is going to have so much fun...

I swear that Avis didn't rig the RNG lol! I look forward to it~

24 Welcome back Ashes!

Danielle couldn't help but chuckle at the field. She did promise Avis that she could have this match, but she never thought that Avis would have a field that could match her abilities. Once Henry sent out Burrows, the coordinator also threw up her Dusk Ball, allowing the Murkrow to fly out into the air. "Alright Avis, have fun out there!" The Murkrow gave a jubilant cry before she observed the field. Trees, grass and... Are those land-wires? Since when did the school have this? And how did she miss it?! While Burrows entertained the crowd, Avis took the liberty to fly around to get used to her surroundings; it reminded her of the times when she was with her murder, minus the nests of course. She finally spotted a camera drone and hovered near it; what is this strange contraption? She has never seen it before... Avis then began pecking at the camera, not knowing that the crowd was getting a close up of her bird face. Danielle only groaned as her Murkrow was distracted by another new toy. "Avis, get a grip on yourself and use Night Shade!" She watched her bird continue her investigation on the drone. "Or not..." Unbeknownst to those around the bird, Avis did adjust her tail and wing feathers ever so slightly...

True. I was only thinking about Swift Swim being useful outside of battle, like when we need to get somewhere fast on water on a rescue mission or something (or another contest on another trip) It wouldn't be that bad. I won't have Scope Lens to get crits every turn lol! And if I were to make Kingdra diva-like, she/he will not use Sniper to piss off others so easily.

I'm going to switch Dragonair for Kingdra to give the water dragon some love. Don't know which ability to use yet though. Sniper could be fun to see and Swift Swim is helpful in rainy situations... Hmm...

{Flux and Murdoc} Candice let out a wide smile and took Flux's handshake. "Hey now, I think I should be saying this to you! I did happen to get all of you inside the city safe and sound, right? I'm more than just a pretty face~" she winked. "Now get going and meet me at the entrance!" As Flux and Ogre crossed the battlefield and into the healing room, Candice's smile was slowly faded. She walked briskly back to the nearby bleachers and put on her winter coat, letting out a heavy sigh as soon as she was zipped up. The Ice leader then lifted her right foot, then her left, and then her right again, and slowly made her way to the entrance. One could see Candice pause and glance at every corner, every nook, and every inch of this gym after each step; her tears were threatening to seep out of her light-brown eyes as Candice took (what probably would be) one last look at her beloved gym. "If they only knew what would happen after this..." she whispered to herself as she placed herself by the glass doors. As the usually peppy woman waited for Flux, Miki and the rest of Team Dusk to arrive, she unclipped Lassie's Pokeball and petted it gently. -------------- "I guess we better get going," Jon told Sarcus and Alina as he watched Candice slowly made her way to the doors. Without another word, Alina nodded and began making her way through the acolytes to rejoin Candice. Jon also began walking after her, stopping after a few steps to wait for Sarcus to catch up. On the other side of the bleachers, Lupus and Lobo sighed with relief as the battle ceased. They, too, began making their way over to join Alina and Candice. ------------- Miki was finally able to reach the healing room and wrestle Raito back into his capsule in order to heal his wounds. After the healing machine completed its process, Raito immediately jumped back out from his Luxury Ball and gave a satisfied yip before running out, only to bump into Flux' legs in his haste. The Japanese girl grinned and made way for Flux to use the elaborate machine. "Umm... Thanks for the help out there. I guess we really did it!" She said lamely, attempting to make a conversation. As she looked around her nervously, Miki spotted an upset Candice by the entrance. She gestured towards the gym leader with a nod of her head. "Do you think Candice is okay? She wasn't like this before when we beat her..." ((Everyone, besides the naive acolytes, could see Candice's expression. You may ask what's wrong if you want~ This is also a chance for everyone here to regroup before we head outside and see Drake's body ))

Danielle nodded as she got up. She chuckled a little as Jacob sped off after Mareek, who just happened to waltz right into their waiting room. "Fair enough~ I'll see you guys later then!" As she walked towards the door, however, Danielle almost bumped into the drenched boy. "Hold on, Mareek, It's not just Jacob that wants to talk to you. In fact, after this match, I want to see if I can get Henry into this. It's about Evan..." With that, she walked right past him, leaving Mareek to his thoughts. Hopefully that would make the other favorite in this competition stay in this room a little while longer. ------------- Danielle hopped lightly back onto the stage once more and gave a nod of respect to Henry. It's about time she could face a more skillful opponent. How odd for her to feel nervous yet excited for a Pokemon battle at the same time, considering how she used to look away from them before the Kalosian arrived at Ymora Academy...

Danielle clapped at the last battle as Lana left the field. She was proud of her roommate for being so at ease in front of a crowd this big. Or perhaps it was because this was all Mareek's doing...? She giggled a little bit as Jeremy Brand announced the next battle to begin immediately. 'So much for talking to Mareek about it. I guess I could get Henry then...' "Well, as much I would like to continue the discussion, I guess I won't be able to since Mr. Brand forgot about the break. But, I'll see if I can pull Henry in and join you after our match." Danielle announced to the group surrounding her. She then turned to the Murkrow still perched on her shoulder. "You sure you want to take this even with the possible field disadvantage?" The black bird replied with a loud "Murkrow!" before she flew down onto her lap in a huff; it's almost as if she was offended that Danielle had asked such a question. "Fine, you win." Danielle responded as she recalled Avis back into her Dusk Ball. So, any last words of advice before I get out there?"

22 Agreed with the Jericho thing. As for Slade, you could chime in about how "Team Rocket" tried to recruit him and we (or James since he knows more about TR) could say that it doesn't sound like what Team Rocket would do at all, which will confirm everyone's suspicions that it is definitely not TR.
