  1. Yes; he didn't flip out on Danielle even though she had a part in asking about Evan. Although I assumed it was because Dani and Lana are friends so..
  2. Thank you for your patience. Your daily schedule of Church smashing is back; please consult the IC thread for further details.
  3. {Outside the Conclave} ... ... Silence echoed below those of the conclave's ceiling. Everyone, including Candice, just stared in shock as the Mother's corpse crashed down in front of them; her blood slowly seeped into the fresh white snow as the audience stared at her lifeless, but still eerie, corpse. Mother Diana is dead. Dead. Snowpoint City is now freed; the nightmare is over, right? "Go back inside, immediately." In an instant, the crowd dispersed. A series of clicks and running footsteps could be heard as the innocent scrambled back into their homes, fearful of what is about to come. As if to confirm their terror, Lockhart, Adam's Honchkrow, announced his presence with a rush of wind. Candice, unfazed by the cold winds, took the piece of paper from his beak and quickly scanned it contents. "Go and tell them to come downstairs as soon as possible." She instructed Lockhart. The Ice gym leader then crumpled it up in her palm and turned to face the remaining members of Unit Sylveon. "You need to get everyone out of here right now; Laura and her patrol will freak once she finds out about this... There is a small computer in the back of the healing room. Type in 4472 once you gathered everyone inside. I'll go and distract--" "NO! YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!" In front of the conclave's door, Laura and a few of her patrol force are readying their Pokeballs, preparing to take revenge for their fallen leader. From their maniacal and crazed expressions, compromise and reason will only fall on death ears. It looks like Candice's group will have to fight their way in to rescue their teammates above. "So much for that... Lassie, go for an Ominous Wind!" Candice commanded as she released her Froslass. Without waiting for a response, she snatched Drake's fallen body from Jon and pushed Jon towards the fray. "Go now, while Lassie covers you! I'll take care of Drake from here!" "Fine with me!" Jon replied, relieved from the heavy burden. Beating up the Church was only right after what they have done to him, and to everyone here. He ran swiftly through Lassie's dark cover and into the conclave. "Hold on a sec, what about you, Candice? Your Pokemon weren't healed!" Alina shouted at the retreating leader. Seeing no response, Alina enlarged her capsule to release Maple, who gave a glare towards her trainer; Alina should know that she hated snow and cold air. "Sorry, Maple, I'll make it up to you later. We have bigger Basculin to fry. Look in front of you." The Serperior lowered her gaze once she found what the female human was mentioning. Maple gave a loud hiss and slithered over to Alina, ready for some action to begin. Alina then turned towards the rest of her company. "I'll stay and defend Candice. That Froslass is not going to last in her state anyway. Go and help Jon!" Seeing Jon running through the thick, black fog, Raito bounded after the boy, not bothering to consult with his nervous trainer. More chances for payback is enticing enough for the Jolteon to join the fight. Miki finally noticed his absence after Alina said she will stay behind. "A-Ah! Fine, I'll go! Rai, wait for me!" Lupus grimaced at the situation before running after Miki with Lobo by his side. He would prefer defending Candice since she is defenseless, but the possibility of Miki being captured (or worse, killed) overwhelmed his mind. ----------------- {Conclave Group} A small group that diverged from the patrol squad are quickly ascending up the stairs. Shouts and battle cries could be heard as the reached closer and closer to the top... ((Everyone can control the acolytes freely. The important thing here is to meet up and head back to the gym.))
  4. I don't mind leaving it until Monday either. I will be busy during the weekend somewhat updating other RPs, so a short hiatus is fine with me~
  5. Danielle gave a slight bow to Professor Cadmus, appreciating his concern on this matter. "We promise we won't tell Evan about this." 'Most definitely not.' She watched as James and Mareek take their leave; Danielle had almost no doubt as to where Mareek and his company will go but as for James... Well, he was always on the edge of their circle so she has no clue where he will be. "Jacob, I'm going to head off and have some lunch. Poor Avis hasn't gotten her grub yet since I sent her out." As if confirming her thoughts, her stomach rumbled. "And the same with me, actually! Do you want to join us?" ------------------- Avis could only stare at the proceedings once she was caught up with Corona's recent activities. "Going back to their daily lives" after the s*** Evan pulled? Nah, not likely. This little birdie will not let him slide so easily; Avis will just keep tabs on Evan secretly just to avoid getting her master in trouble. Until then, she and the rest of Danielle's Pokemon went back to the human's side to await for further instructions.
  6. Aww, look at all of these posers trying to look like and talk me. You know what? I'm not even going to bother trying to convince you that I'm the real deal. I've got places to be, after all. Later losers (NOT)!
  7. 48 Stop making me hungry; I haven't had dinner yet
  8. @Hiss: I'll take up the offer and have Arial go to the beach. Hope to see you there! xD
  9. {Central Square} - Important Action: Going to the Beach "Yep." Arial agreed with Rene and Klive as Roy, Monika and someone else... Was it Paul?... made their way off in the direction of the high school. She then dropped her left arm from its dueling position, allowing her hologram to disappear, and started her scooter's engine. "Since they are already on that lead, and we have basically covered everything around here, I'm going to head over to the Beach to get some clues. It's a weird spot, but that's why someone could hide things there, right? Most would never bother looking in such a place." After she's seated on her scooter, she took off her black D-Pad and handed it over to Rene. "Also, might as well get each other's contact info just in case one of us bumps into Arclight, right?"
  10. Too many for me... I'm going to have Arial go to the park or the beach since nobody has really been there yet. Will update soon (hopefully)
  11. {Rene, Klive, Robert, and Roy} "Agreed; that's the reason why I said the results didn't include those done underground." Arial replied without looking up from her D-Pad. As Rene and the boys continued their conversation, the tomboy had her eyes fixated on a particular document containing information on duel disk "malfunctions." It was only when Roy confirmed their suspicions that she looked up. "Seriously?! That's sweet, Roy! At least that narrows down the search for us!" Arial quickly looked back down and began typing furiously for Arclight Industries' hours of operation. "Ya see, Rene and I found a creepy legend about Shadow Games; the loser in each of those types of duels has their soul sucked into a card, which is basically death. Of course, that should only a legend (I hope), so why don't we go for the most logical reason first: The malfunctioning Duel Disks?" Arial then pulled up the webpage that contained Arclight Industries' Hours of Operations. With a few taps, she managed to project the hologram so that everyone around her could see it. "If this is up-to-date, Mr. Arclight should be closing down for today real soon, which could mean that he will be heading back to Arclight Industries now. Of course, he could still be wandering around the city too so... Why_not split up and search around again?" Arial suggested. "We now have six... No, five?, people here... Roy, where's Monika? Didn't she say that she was going to the police station with you?"
  12. {Rene, Klive and Robert} At the mention of duel disks being a possible culprit of Tenjo's death, Arial turned on her own D-Pad and initiated the screen's function. Once the screen lit up with a sem- transparent pink hue, Arial began typing in a few words and started scrolling down the results. "If I remember correctly, manufacturers have specifically changed the design of duel disks to prevent people from tinkering with such functions that would be considered "illegal." Of course, the records don't include those that are done underground, but the possibility of people being able to alter their duel disk and D-pad to perform such a task should be severely reduced due to the recent upgrades over these past few years..."
  13. For those in the Aftermath RP: Update will come after I have my tax midterm on Wednesday. Apologies for the delays!

    1. Flux

      Flux

      No worries. School comes first.

  14. 140 @Iron: Your dreams were too tasty for Yash to resist
  15. {Rene, Klive and Robert} "Damn straight we are!" Arial replied just as jubilantly as she skipped up towards them. It looks like she has some competition when in comes to who could scream the loudest; if she was still eight years old, Arial probably would have challenged xem to a shouting contest right then and there. Alas, there are more important things to worry about now that she is twice that age. "I'm Arial and my partner here is Rene. Nice to meet ya too, Klive and Robert!" She greeted the duo, receiving Robert's outstretched hand with a firm handshake. "So, are you two investigating alone? We have several others with us before, but I guess they aren't finished yet."
  16. I have a tax midterm to study for so no worries on waiting from my end.
  17. Danielle put Corona down on the floor of the waiting room so that she could practice her Psychic. After giving Avis her nod of approval, Danielle pat Zared To indicate the prime witness. "The same Skarmory that James mentioned hopped into our waiting room during our matches. So Zared, here, decided to chat with it and found out the Skarmory's origins, which led us to believe that Evan is involved with this organization somehow. Mareek's Porygon2 has trascribed his testimony if you like to hear it..." She turned to Mareek to let him take over now. Zared nodded towards Professor Cadmus to confirm Danielle's statement. He then watched as Avis flew from Professor Cadmus' arm and headed towards Corona to catch up on what she missed.
  18. {Rene, Klive and Robert} Arial nodded at Rene's suggestion. "Yeah, let's go and see what the others found. As for whether or not a Shadow Duel between then, I really hope not. I don't really want to get my life eaten by my monsters... Perhaps I could find out more about this when we get home..." "HEY, ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PROFESSOR TENJO, MY RECENTLY DECEASED TEACHER?" "And who the heck is that?" Arial asked, looking around her to find the source. Then, right at the center of Central Square, she found two - Guys? Or is it a guy and a girl? - teenagers standing there. Arial tilted her head; wasn't the one that is screaming xyr head off the one that whistled back in the classroom? If that is the case, it looks like her group are not the only curious ones. That is a relief; the more people involved, the more information that could be obtained. "Shall we then?" she commented to Rene before she began walking over to Klive and Robert. The tomboy also directed her motor scooter to them with her arm. "I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU THAT MYSELF! NOW STOP SCREAMING BEFORE YOU GET THE COPS ON US!" Arial yelled back.
  19. {Rene} "Wow... That was intense, but strangely insightful." Arial said as she stepped back into the open air. As the duo made their way to the Central Square, she recalled that their homeroom professor did say that Professor Tenjo had died under mysterious circumstances, and that he was wearing his dueling gear when the authorities spotted him. "Rene, that museum called those "shadow duels" a myth, but what if, just coincidentally, Professor Tenjo was in one of those duels? It would make some sort of sense, wouldn't it? Nobody could figure out how he came to be that way outside of the fact that he died while dueling..." Arial paused and stared down at her deck that is tucked safely in her Cyber Dragon Infinity themed D-Pad. She seemed a bit uneasy at the thought of forfeiting her life for losing one game. A game should be played for fun, not as a life or death situation, right? Arial sighed, pushing that thought out of her head and faced Rene once more. "What do you think about this whole thing? And while we're at it... What should we do now? I don't see Zander nor the others anywhere..."
  20. As Omega said, Variety hasn't posted much in this chapter (he's been offline since March 23). Otherwise, I think we are all accounted for.
