  1. Murdoc Before Ryan could reply Phoebe grabbed Kage by the arm. “What are you doing? It’s your turn!” She dragged him all the way to the entrance of the field and gave him a push. “Make sure to win! That way Tyron can’t make a comeback and I get free lunches!” she grinned. ((You can choose your opponents Pokémon))
  2. Hosts (Murdoc) “After Raiza, Alvin also wins his battle and both trainers will face each other in the final round of Block E. But first the competitors of Block F will get a chance to show off their skills. Professor Redwood, if you please?” “Certainly, I’ve been looking forward to this Block. Two of the main outsiders are in it; Kyle, the favorite amongst the Coordinators, and Kageharu, who is considered the strongest Breeder. First up is Kageharu. His opponent Caleb is a new face. He’s an exchange student and just like Louise he showed up early to secure a place in the top 32. I can’t say all that much about it but he seems to rely on his Zorua a lot. ((If the Zorua fights or not is up to you and feel free to also pick the second Pokémon)) Dobby and Commander Lily glared at Henry’s remark about Evan. She had the best big brothers in the world and no one had the right to insult them! Jaime noticed her glare and put his hand on her head. “That’s right, I’m Jaime and this is Lily. We’re Evan’s siblings but I’m not surprised he never mentioned us. He isn’t much of a talker is he?” the boy smiled before turning looking Henry directly in the eyes “Claude has been a wonderful companion and the best guide I could ask for! But you’re right that he is an interesting character. I can’t wait to see you battle, Mister Number One Coordinator,” he grinned. DarkLight And the Skarmory talked. She explained her entire story. She told Zared how she was taken away from a breeding facility and had to do harsh training in an excluded environment. She had to spend most of her time underground and never really had someone to call her friend. Not until she received the news she would be given to a trainer, a partner of her own. She didn’t pick Evan herself but she was glad with him. He often gave her the cold shoulder like he didn’t care, but he looked after her and made sure everything was okay. She never experienced treatment like that. The steel bird completely went up in her storytelling that she didn’t see Alvin’s battle or noticed Evan had entered the waiting room.
  3. I placed the Skarmory in the waiting room. I assumed Kage and Ryan would be all over that thing... And the room is filled with people to talk to.
  4. You want another dark type? What about Spiritomb or Sableye? I think either one of them would fit James's team. I'm not at that problem yet. Unless a character suddenly disappears (like Sissy) or when they haven't been around after their introduction (Louise).
  5. It's hard to remember all those nicknames. I'm already looking forward when everyone has 6+ Pokémon... But remember that if you use Ragnarok in the tournament you can't switch him out until after the finals. Or as soon as James loses if he doesn't go that far.
  6. Which one is Ragnarok again? The Dratini? And as long as he stays on James's team there's no problem. Just keep, like the people above said, Solaris within the level cap. Speaking about the level cap: I only use the levels to indicate strength differences. When all / most Pokémon are evolved I'm going to either drop it or go over 100.
  7. If that's what you want. I don't mind I just don't have the time to control unimportant characters. I should get a bit more time after this weekend. That's fine by me.
  8. Hosts (Zephyr) “Slade takes the win! This means the final battle in Block D will be between Gerard and Slade,” Marco informed the audience, even though everyone probably already knew, but he had a habit of always stating the obvious. “Get ready for Block E, Ladies and Gentlemen! Professor Redwood, if you would do us the honor?” “Uhm, yes, well, to be honest this is probably the hardest battle to talk about. Both trainers are quite the standouts when it comes to personalities. Even though I have all the information even I can’t tell what they’re thinking or going to do next. I’d say both trainers are full of surprises but why don’t you judge yourself after you see the battle?” Marco raised both eyebrows. That was a rather strange introduction. “… I guess I’ll do that then. And what about the teams they use? Can you tell me something about that?” “Raiza mainly uses dark type Pokémon except for one; Litwick. Her opponent Kylie has a large Gourgeist so she might have to deal with a disadvantage.” ((You can pick the second Pokémon)) Dobby Since Claude obviously didn’t want to talk about his name, Jaime went with it. “Sure, let’s go, maybe you can even introduce me to that Lana girl,” he grinned when a young girl came from the stands above. She looked just like Jaime but with blonde hair. Maybe the boy dyed it? “Big Bro, did you see Evan’s battle? He won! Can we go see him now? I haven’t seen him for months!” She didn't realize he had been talking to Claude the entire time he was away. Zephyr and Stratos Before Lana could answer, Raiza’s battle was announced. The Breeder jumped a little and started to slightly panic. “Raiza, it’s your turn! Quick!” she pulled her childhood friend by the arm and ran to the direction of the field. “Sorry Nemo, but we’re in a hurry!” DarkLight With a lot of wild gestures and cries, Skarmory tried to explain she wasn’t sure herself. Her trainer said something about not wanting to give in to the people who gave her to him and that he wanted to win the Cup on his own strength. Silly humans, sometimes they could be really strange… Stratos (Galen) Pierre completely fell for it. “I see you finally gained some sense! Or did you see that I was right all along? But don’t worry; I planned to become the top Coordinator at his Academy ever since we received this mission. I won’t fail!”
  9. For some reason I keep typing Rhydon instead of Rhyhorn while I know it's the latter... Just ignore it if I do it again until it hits level 42. From there on out it's actually going to be a Rhydon.
  10. Dobby Jaime was interested. Normally he would tease people, especially Evan, when they felt awkward. However he never ran into someone who was embarrassed about a normal name. “Uh I don’t get it. What’s wrong with ‘Kyle’? It sounds like a normal and decent name to me.” And right at that moment Evan finished his battle, distracting Jaime, and giving Claude a free way out. “Finally he pulled through. That took him long enough,” the boy in the wheelchair said to himself. Zephyr and Stratos “You’re telling me which Pokémon you’re using beforehand?” Lana asked, receiving Raiza’s elbow-nudge. “I guess it’s only fair if I do the same. I plan to use Rhyhorn and Shellos,” she said determined. Rhyhorn was an obvious choice. Being her ace she couldn’t go around him if she wanted to seriously go at full power at Mareek. Shellos was different. She made this particular choice to be able to tank the hits Mareek was going to throw at her and the two turned out to be a decent duo when battling together. DarkLight Skarmory turned to her fellow steel type. “Skaar?” the bird tilted her head, curious about what this thing had to say about her trainer. Stratos (Galen) Pierre saw an opportunity to challenge Galen when the guy didn’t respond. He always had problems with chain of command and didn’t like being ordered around, especially by people he didn’t like. “No answer? Well maybe I should lead this mission and bring spectacular results back. You just take a backseat, pick some weeds, and watch how the youth does it!” he said with a big grin. Matt snorted. “If that happens all you’ll be doing is contests while the rest of us do the dirty work.” “Of course! Someone has to oversee the situation. I’ll draw all attention to me so you two can sneak around and get your hands dirty. Have some faith in my leadership qualities and everything will be fine.”
  11. Logan barely managed to suppress his laughter when he heard Lars’s question. He turned his back to the civilians and pretended to study the store. When he finally got his act together he laid his hand on his fellow soldier’s shoulder. “Let’s go. I doubt they’re going to tell us exactly where we are as long as they can see Sleepy. We’re wasting our time.”
  12. Dobby Jaime raised an eyebrow. “Wait a minute, you are in the tournament?” He took a paper with the tournament schedule on it out of his pocket. “I don’t see your name in the match-ups?” Zephyr and Stratos Lana follow Raiza and Nemo in silence. She wondered why the Cubone came to get her and when she saw him point with his club, she looked up to see the owner. “Hey Mareek, did you need something?” Jory “Sounds like you got it all planned out,” Kristen chuckled. “And you don’t have to prepare for both Kage and Claude since they are in the same block.” She grabbed a paper from her pocket. “They hand these out to everyone in the stands. The people in Block F really drew the short straw… After dealing with Kage and Claude they probably have to face Mareek…” Hosts “What a battle! Suddenly both trainers are left with only one Pokémon! Evan has the type advantage but Julie’s plan is already set in motion. Can Evan get out of this one? Anyway this might turn into a very long battle!” Ma rco yelled. As usually he didn’t think about just talking normally in the damn thing. “Actually, this battle is over,” Devin suddenly interrupted after taking a look at Evan’s face. “I’m not sure if Evan found a way to beat Julie’s plan or if he came up with something on the spot. Either way this battle ends now.” Marco raised an eyebrow and wanted to question to Elite Four Member when his attention was drawn back to the battle. Devin was right; Evan had made his move. Julie laughed at it first before her face showed signs of being overwhelmed. “I didn’t expect that…” he mumbled at a loss for words. Stratos (Galen) “Yet another guy with a stick in his ass that doesn’t appreciate true skill and beauty! Ever heard about hiding in plain sight? You might need to update your tactics book, Old-timer, times change and you don’t have to follow the protocol to the letter.” With a swing of his hand Pierre made his hair sway around like it blew around in the wind. “It’s not like anyone is going to suspect three students and a wheat caretaker. Besides no one even knows we exist!” Sarah didn’t even bother listening. She knew Pierre would try one way or another to get his way. “You may not like that Evan guy but he’s not that bad. I honestly didn’t expect him to win.” Evan A sandstorm still blew over the field. Sand dust gathered on Evan’s glasses while he tried to figure out a way out of this situation. Fuck, I should’ve taken out the Hippo immediately. That would’ve saved me some serious trouble, but how do I get out of it? I have the advantage with water and ice attacks but that fat Hipp- Wait a minute… water and ice… “Triton, Water Pulse on the field and freeze it with Aurora Beam. Only the field,” he strictly instructed. The Vaporeon obeyed to the letter and quickly froze a the part of the field where both Pokémon were standing. The Hippopotas looked nervous. He didn’t like water and ice and had trouble moving around, but his trainer just laughed. “Really? Are you that desperate that you have to copy Jacob?” That’s what I want you to think. It does help he used it not so long ago. I guess I own him one… not. “Quick Attack!” Unlike the Hippo, Triton easily moved on the icy field. By using his tail to steer and slide around however he liked, he managed to hit the ground type at full power. The attack did barely any damage but that wasn’t Evan’s intention. He aimed for the digging spot created earlier when Julie caught him off guard. The girl’s eyes widened when she realized his plan but it was too late. The hole was completely filled with water and Quake fell right into it. The small Hippo panicked and tried to get out of it but to no avail. He didn’t even hear his trainer yelling to calm down and kept going at it. He scraped his paws at the sharp edges of the ice and damaged himself little by little. Added up to the small amounts of damage it took earlier, all Evan needed was one more shot. His Vaporeon was already at the second hole where the Hippo popped up to take out Nike. The water splashed around from Quake’s shaking. “Aurora Beam.” The water that ran under the field and connected both holes froze at a rapid rate, trapping Hippopotas in the ice, unable to battle. Hosts (ExLink) “And Gerard takes the win! He moves on to the next battle against either Slade or Karen. What can you tell us about them, Professor?” “Let’s see…” Redwood mused, “Slade is in the trainer program and has a rather unique style. He comes up with some of the craziest plans I’ve seen for first years but they don’t always work. He’s his own greatest enemy. Karen on the other hand is one of the few breeders left. She doesn’t specialize in a type and has a diverse team. ((You can pick Karen’s Pokémon))
  13. Tses is out of the tournament so ExLink is up. I'll control Gerard when he battles Slade to win the D-block. Update is coming.
  14. Evan “You want to rely on luck?” Julie asked. “Not much of a skill.” She knew Evan was a bit of a hothead and tried to get him angry, or at least shake him up a little. “Says the one turning her fat Hippo into a wall,” Evan retorted, “and it is working.” The Hippopotas stumbled around disorientated. “Shake it off, Quake! And Ranger get in front of him. Keep using Poison Powder so they can’t get close.” Evan cursed. This trick was getting annoying and he needed to take care of the Hippo already. Or maybe I should change targets and go for the Ivysaur. If I can create a 2 versus 1 situation I might be able to pull through. “Flame Burst!” The fire quickly surrounded both targets, but did nothing to the poison in the air. The purple cloud fell down over the Ninetales while the creator cried out in a lot of pain. “Triton, Aurora Beam, let’s go!” A cold rainbow colored beam cooled down the Ivysaur, almost taking it out. Julie grumbled when Evan found the Achilles Heel of her plan. Ranger didn’t know any recovery moves yet aside from Leech Seed. Her training to teach it Giga Drain wasn’t completed yet or else Evan would’ve been in serious trouble. She quickly whispered an order to Quake while her opponent’s attention was on Ranger. “Shit, where did that Hippo go?” Evan mumbled. The flames created by Nike removed it from sight for a small period of time and now there was nothing left but a hole. Did it already break out of confusion?” “Nike, another round of Flame Burst!” The Ninetales released another stream of intense heat that covered Julie’s part of the field, taking out Ivysaur, while in return taking damage from the poison. Evan cheered inside when suddenly the Hippo popped up and hit Nike with a Dig at full power, knocking her out as well. On the other side of the field Julie grinned. She was at a type disadvantage, but her Pokémon was set up and could heal itself. Even the Water Pulse that hit her Hippopotas right after the Dig attack didn’t do too much damage.
  15. Evan's battle will follow later but I'm getting ninja'd left and right while trying to update. I'm also trying to figure out what to do with Sissy (next battle) and I'm tempted to just skip to Slade's battle.
  16. Dobby “His best bet is Vaporeon, but it may already be too late. He never thinks things through so people with a decent plan are his worst opponents.” Jaime muttered. “Oh well, I’m sure he’ll find a way out of this. He’s not one to go down this easily.” Zephyr “I don’t have experience battling in front of such a crowd, but they make a lot of noise. Not to mention Marco yelling in his microphone so I doubt you can hear her unless she’s really close,” Lana said in a last attempt to calm her friend down. Luckily for her the Cubone did the trick. “I have seen one or two other Cubone’s, but this one stands out. It’s also the only one I know personally so it makes sense to be Mareek’s,” she explained, following Raiza in order to find Cubone’s trainer. Jory Kristen blushed and her cheeks almost had the same red color as her hair. She tried to hide her embarrassment by quickly changing the subject. “You already have a plan to deal with Evan?” she asked impressed. “I found it difficult to prepare for him since he adapts on the spot and goes with instinct. So what about Kage and Claude? They are considered the strongest of their programs when it comes to battling and are probably stronger then Evan.” Phoebe’s waiting room A Skarmory entered the room, hopping towards the screen. The bird didn’t pay too much attention to other people inside. Instead her eyes were glued to the television. Her trainer strictly ordered her to watch from a distance and not interfere with battling to avoid getting disqualified. Stratos (Galen) “So another idiot? Great, I already have to deal with those two,” she gestured towards Pierre and Matt. The extravagant boy looked quite bored while the latter seemed to be slightly interested. “Shut up, you’re not the boss. And let me watch, this battle might be a bit more entertaining compared to the others,” Matt said. “Entertaining? I’ll show you entertainment!” Pierre interfered. He got up and grabbed two Pokéballs. If someone didn’t stop him, he would probably try and give a show to overshadow the ongoing battle.
  17. If Illusion allows Zorua to speak, this allows Venonat to see through it: Venonat is said to have evolved with a coat of thin, stiff hair that covers its entire body for protection. It possesses large eyes that never fail to spot even minuscule prey.
  18. I don't know about Tses but last time I checked Snap's profile she hadn't logged in since early January I think. I don't see her around the other RPs either. If they don't post when their matches start they lose. That means another unimportant NPC vs Slade and Raiza vs Alvin. Hooray for Bug types.
  19. Dobby “Oooh? Lana eeh? I better remember that name!” Jaime grinned. “And I know your pain. My roommate is a complete idiot. He already said the dorm on fire, put the entire building without electricity and destroyed the ceiling.” The boy shook his head. “But I kinda like him. I got to know him and he turned out to be pretty cool. Anyway, I’m rolling back to my spot in the stands since Evan is about to battle. You can join me if you want?” Without waiting for an answer Jaime quickly made his way into the audience, right on time to see Evan’s opponent call out her Pokémon. “Aaaand he’s in trouble.” Zephyr Lana tried to hide her snickering. Her childhood friend really came up with the wildest fantasies from time to time. “They will find out sooner or later… But if you just concentrate on the battle and not look in the audience you won’t see them, right?” The young breeder noticed the disturbance behind Raiza. “Isn’t that Mareek’s Cubone talking to Lucifer?” She tried to change the subject. Maybe if they concentrated on something else Raiza wouldn’t stress so much. Jory “Who said I was talking about that kid? There’s another one with fully evolved Pokémon,” Kristen pointed to the screen. “Some people consider him an outsider, but I think you can take him. Also if you use Arete, make sure to take off the Eviolite. If she enters the battle with an item you are automatically disqualified and that would be the lamest way to go out!” She put her hand on her hip, giving Jacob a serious ‘don’t-you-dare’ face. Phoebe’s waiting room (Azery) “Maybe he can’t, Grandpa,” Phoebe answered. “If he already used all three Pokémon in the preliminaries he’s stuck with them. If anyone uses a fourth Pokémon they will be disqualified.” Stratos (Galen) Sarah glared at her superior. “Of course we know what we have to do. I’m not sure if Pierre still remembers but I’m not as dumb as he is.” She turned her attention to the battlefield. “Isn’t that the kid from the reports? Did you already make contact?” Evan “Enough talk! Ranger, Leech Seed and Quake, Stockpile!” “Counter with Flame Burst,” Evan ordered. The adrenaline rushed through him and it was hard not to give in. He really wanted to go on the offense but held back “Triton, take a backseat,” he said as Nike’s Flame Burst burned the Seeds and went towards both opponents. “Dig and Stockpile again!” The hole created by the Hippopotas also allowed the Ivysaur to escape damage. “Triton, fill that hole with water.” Keep up the pressure without going full out offense. She’ll reveal her plan in no time. The power behind the Water Pulse forced both opponents out the hole. The grass type was completely fine, but the hippo had taken some decent damage. “Slack Off. Ranger get in front of Quake and use Poison Powder.” “Water Pulse again!” The poisonous substance got soaked and failed to poison Evan’s Pokémon but that was Julie’s plan all along. Evan had missed the opportunity to take out Hippopotas. “Quake use another Stockpile and Ranger use Razor Leaf on that Vaporeon!” This time the attack hit. “Triton, Aqua Ring.” I can also play this restore to full health game, but I’m not getting anywhere. I should focus on that Hippo and not let it set up. “Nike, Confuse Ray on the Hippo.” Balls of blue light danced in front of the ground type, making it stumble. On the other side of the field Evan could hear a slight curse coming from his opponent.
  20. Lana is sitting with Raiza in the stands. Btw did anyone see Tses lately? I haven't seen him for a while either. And I guess Snap completely disappeared.
  21. Dobby “We stick around until tomorrow, when the first years are done battling, so you might meet my little sister,” Jaime grinned. “By the way, how well do you know my little brother? We contacted him a few times but we never heard him mention any friends…” Zephyr “Are you alright?” Lana asked concerned, “And you could’ve looked up Kylie as well. Luckily for you I know she’s a Breeder. I’ve seen her around a few times. She has a giant Gourgeist, but that’s about all I know.” Jory Kirsten returned the hug. “You did alright but what’s with the Ice-field tactic again? You know people are going to expect it from now on, right? Mareek won’t fall for it and he’s your biggest rival…” She smiled a little, “But Slade probably will since he’s an idiot.” On that moment the door to Phoebe’s waiting room opened and Evan came out. He didn’t even look at Jacob and Kristen and made his way towards the field. “He’s leaving already? That means someone beat you when it comes to the fastest battle. Maybe there’s a Dark Horse in group C you might have to face after Slade.” K_H Paul recalled his Pokémon, shook his head and walked away. He wasn’t about to push his Pokémon too far. In the meantime Eve and Otto were panting heavily. Constantly using two moves while dodging everything seemed to take a toll on their bodies, something Kenny apparently was unaware off. Phoebe’s waiting room “At least he won… that means I’m getting way ahead of Tyron and that’s all I need.” Phoebe mumbled. “Grumpy, your turn!” she suddenly yelled and pointed at the corner furthest away. Evan, who was previously sitting there without drawing attention, was already halfway to the exit. Hosts Devin and professor Redwood remained silent while Marco tried to find something positive to say. “And Paul decides to call the battle. He walks away with his head held high. Hopefully the next two students will give something more exciting to watch! Professor Redwood, Devin, enlighten us when it comes to Evan and Julie.” Professor Redwood gestured towards Devin. “Why don’t you do this one, my friend?” “If you insist, professor, the next battle is between a trainer, Evan and a Coordinator; Julie. They have both similar teams when it comes to typing, but their personalities and styles are very different. Julie is a model student and has some decent combinations, while Evan is all about battling. He usually goes on the offensive and relies on instinct and thinking on the spot. Julie probably has 3 or 4 plans ready to counter him. This battle really can go anywhere and as far as I’m concerned this is one of the best match-ups in the first round alongside the Mareek versus Lana battle in the last block.” Redwood chuckled. “I can’t agree more with you.” “And there you have it folks! This might be one of those exciting early battles!” Stratos (Galen) “Pff boring! These kids got it completely wrong! This is the perfect opportunity to show everyone how beautiful they and their Pokémon are in front of a big audience, but all they do is muscle their way through. What a big letdown this competition is. At least that girl Danielle got it right. I hopes she goes far…” Pierre whined. His conversation partner, Matt, shook his head. “You call that power? Please, I could annihilate them in an instant. But you’re right this Winter Cup is filled with trash. Since we joined the first years I have no choice but to hold back so I don’t stand out.” “Shut up both of you!” the girl in front of them hissed. “There he is so let’s introduce ourselves like we are supposed to do!” Sarah Jones walked over to Galen and took the seat next to him. “So you’re the one in charge…” Evan The few empty seats that remained were quickly taken. By the way things looked Block D had a full house to fight for. But that wasn’t important. Kylie had a determined look on her face and Evan knew her reputation. She was the complete opposite and would’ve planned for every possible combination he could use. Not that it mattered. He was ready and when the buzzer went off he released his Vaporeon and Ninetales. On the other side of the field an Ivysaur and a Hippopotas were glaring at him. A sandstorm immediately started to blow around the field. Evan covered his eyes. “This is your plan? Coming at me with a disadvantage?” Julie smiled. “You can also see it the other way around. I can create the advantage since every Pokémon on the field can be super-effective against another one.” “That sounds like you knew which Pokémon I was going to use. You’re choosing a risky strategy.” “If I want to beat you I have no other choice. My Torkoal would be in trouble against your team.”
  22. I reworked the story. I was planning to show what Ymora has to offer first and get to know the region but I'll keep the trips for later. Also K_H: I keep missing the last parts of your posts. I don't know why you always post incomplete posts but if you don't have enough time just save it somewhere and post when it's complete. Also that last part from your battle against the NPC shows no improvement from previous warnings. If you keep pulling stuff like that Evan is going to annihilate you.
  23. RP section: I'm taking a break. I don't know when I can come back.

  25. Rhyhorn lvl 25 (Rhy, M), Nidorina (F, Queen), lvl 23, Grotle lvl 18 (M,not named yet), East-Sea Shellos (the blue one) lvl 23 (F, not named yet) The ones she uses in the tournament: Rhyhorn, Nidorina and Shellos. Or did you want the movesets? I usually make those up as I write. It's impossible for me to remember all of them and I didn't wrote them down.
