  1. "So what do you suggest we do? It doesn't look like we've got any other options except for opening it," Logan said. His hand went over the marks. "We can just break it and try to surprise whoever is waiting on the other side."
  2. Evan thinks Robert is just another idiot. He would probably not take Robert too serious. Danielle is the only one at this point who you shouldn't sent after him.
  3. When? Robert and Danielle pissed Evan off when they made Hydreigon's temper even worse.
  4. As long as you pay the bill I don't mind. I laughed at this one even though I don't know why... Also I feel like giving Evan a Weezing.
  5. I mentioned some gym leaders use a swimming pool design (and they did in the anime). Brand's water field is different. I can't expect everyone to have a water type or let something like a Drilbur swim. And I got ninja'd again. Btw Brand is hosting right now since Marco is still looking for a new microphone. I only made Marco to show a little more about Brand's passion later on.
  6. The water field isn't that bad and it has floating platforms. I have to say fields 6 and 7 are my favorites though.
  7. I also gave him a Floette and Roselia. Not sure which one is his ace yet. And yes, your third. I love to make things difficult and this way the ones expected to win may lose.
  8. Evan has a Vaporeon... Anyway even if the Randomizer gives him a water field, he can't use Vaporeon according to the rules. And damn. I was really hoping the randomizer would pick field 7 for this battle instead of 4. Edit: Zephyr Ninja'd me. No, Raiza can't use Toothless or Lucifer for this battle. Each student can only use one Pokémon and it has to be their third one. So either Rogue or the Skorupi. If you pick Rogue, Raiza won't be able to use Skorupi during any future battles she might have in the tournament.
  9. Hosts (Everyone, second round rules) Brand’s excitement reached a whole new level. “Can I also explain the rules, Craig?” Redwood chuckled. “Go ahead.” “Alrighty! Welcome Danielle and Henry and congratulations to reach this far. Both of you will be my little test subjects when it comes to the fields, but we’re going to make it even more difficult. You know each first year can only use 3 Pokémon through the entire tournament right? Well you both already used two of them so it’s about time you showed the audience your last Pokémon!” Brand grinned. “That’s the rule of this round; one on one battle and you have to use your last Pokémon, but before you release them, let me start the magic!” With a feel for drama, he raised his arms and slowly pointed to a giant screen above the field. “As you all can see there are a clock and one needle. We blurred out all the options so none of you can know all the fields. As soon as I give the command the needle will spin. When the needle stops, the clock will disappear and the screen will tell us which field was picked. Is that clear? If it isn’t I don’t care! Let's start! Randomize awaaaay!” Brand’s enthusiasm got the crowd going as the needle started to spin at a rapid pace. After a minute it started to slow down. The clock disappeared and a giant forest appeared on screen. It looked exactly like the Forest on the Academy Grounds. “FOREST FIELD!” Brand yelled. “This is the one I was looking forward to. I’m not going to lie; this was the trickiest one to build. But take a look for yourself.” Suddenly a lot of metallic noises could be heard and the field in between Danielle and Henry disappeared, including the part they had to walk from the waiting room. A crazy metal obstruction was visible for a moment before the ground started to rise again. This time there was grass on it and something that was crushing it flat. It took 2 more minutes before everything became clear and Danielle and Henry found themselves in a small forest. They could still see each other but aside from that they were surrounded by grass and fake trees. During the process everyone had a clear view of how it worked; the trees were laying down when kept in storage and a metal construction pushed them up. There were a total of 8 trees in random places and they were connected by thick ropes. “That went well,” Brand said. “Now, let the battle begin!” On his command small drones with cameras surrounded the field, providing the audience with the best possible view. Surge (Galen) “I hope that Lapras is a beautiful one so I can at least look at something decent. Arceus knows I can use it after seeing your ugly mocks all day,” Pierre chimed. He released his Ponyta as the group left the Arena and rode it with style until they made it to the Forest. “Alright, my beautiful horse, keep the ugly Weedle’s and all those others away from me. They truly are disgusting.” Sarah rolled her eyes. Pierre really annoyed her from time to time and she really wanted to punch him in the face, but held back. She bit her lip in frustration and glared at her teammate. “Don’t even bother,” Matt said. “That guy won’t change. If he can’t insult people or call things ugly he becomes even more annoying.” The girl sighed and turned to Galen. “Lead the way, Boss, it’s our first time in here and idiot over there will only get us lost.” TurboAura Suddenly a deep voice popped up from behind Robert. “Shiftryyy,” the Pokémon grumbled as it glared at the young trainer. Zephyr Lana was at the medical Centre treating her Pokémon and drying herself with a towel. Knowing how much her childhood friend cared for her team, Raiza shouldn’t have a problem figuring out where she was.
  10. Claude is with the group, Shiro is doing his break thing, Robert is the one I picked and I missed Raiza looking for Lana. Also just to be clear: there are 7 possible fields from now on. I'm randomizing each battle so depending on the Pokémon everyone has left this might be a little tricky. 2 are especially hard.
  11. So I leave for work and have to catch up to 3 whole pages... Spammers Now who will be my next victim? It's hard to isolate people when they all hurdle together to talk about Evan.
  12. Hosts As soon as Redwood announced the break, Marco left the table in search for a new microphone. Devin sighed in relief and covered his own mic. “Professor, do you want to announce it now?” he whispered. Redwood nodded. “Wait until Jeremy is here. After all it was his company and funds that made this possible.” “I’m already here, Craigy!” Brand yelled enthusiastic. “You know I don’t mind if you do the honors tough… It’s your Academy.” “I insist,” Redwood smiled. “Alright, here I go!” Brand took Marco’s place and grabbed Devin’s mic. It was obvious he couldn’t wait any longer so he just started. “Ladies and Gentleman! I’m Jeremy Brand from Brand’s Corporation, you may have heard of us, and Professor Redwood gave me the honors to do a special announcement.” He waited a minute to be sure he got everyone’s attention. “During the last couple of years my company has been trying to take Pokémon battles to the next level. In the past there have been experiments with water fields which was nothing more than a swimming pool. Gym leaders do the same thing; make a field in their advantage. Now we brought those fields here. The Academy’s Arena contains the prototype with multiple battlefields.” This time he looked to Redwood. The Professor just nodded in agreement. “In the next rounds these fields will be used. The field will be decided by a randomizer. The students won’t know which field they get until right before their battle. Isn’t this exciting? So Danielle and Henry; come over to the field so we can see this beauty in action!” In all his enthusiasm Brand completely forgot there was supposed to be a small break. The students had no choice but to concentrate on their next battle. Surge (Galen) “Still not impressed,” Sarah mumbled. She was about to follow Galen when she noticed both Matt and Pierre didn’t move. She quickly smacked them across the head and motioned to follow. Pierre yawned. “Where are we going?”
  13. Today is showdown's Parahax Chim to Death Day

  14. The infiltration is the first mission. I planned this so RoG members (when it was still playable) would face the students. I still have to rework the details about how I'm going from here. (I had 2 storylines that I need to merge together without looking rushed or being completely lame) Probably. Unfortunately I suck with things like that. If you want go right ahead and make one xD And now I'm off to bed. I got lucky and didn't have to work until 3.30 - 4 AM.
  15. Lana Rhyhorn grunted after taking the Vacuum Wave head on. The bug type did way more damage compared to Nemo. One more of those and it would be over. Lana realized the same thing and sighed. She could go for another Metal Burst and definitely take out Nemo, but Erce’s speed was beyond her expectations. “Rhy, great job, but we lost this one. No point in getting you hurt.” She then turned to Mareek. “Thanks for not going easy on me and good luck with the rest of the tournament.” She waved when she left the field, not even sad that she lost. Hosts “And that finishes round 1! We’ll have a short break now before the Block-finals start. Next up are Henry and Danielle, please make your way to the battlefield within 25 minutes.” Surge (Galen) “Not bad I guess,” Sarah said after Mareek’s battle. “I’ll admit he has some skill but I still don’t see why he’s such a big threat to us.” Matt snorted at the word ‘skill’. Apparently he had another opinion.
  16. Meh the inspiration isn't coming to move the story forward. So annoying.
  17. Lana The breeder sighed as her Shellos went down. “Thanks, you did your best. Rhy and I will take it from here,” she whispered to the capsule in her hand. “Rhy, it’s up to you now! Don’t fall for Nemo’s tricks; curse!” The rock type stayed where he was and decided to glare at Erce instead of the Orphan. In the meantime his attack and defense rose while his speed dropped. Not like he could outrun Erce anyway.
  18. *Undefeated previous Champion. Anyway the granddaughter's role will become clear after Mareek's battle. Or at least who she is.
  19. Dobby and Tacos “A Skarmory doesn’t mean it’s necessarily this one.” Evan ignored Ryan’s hand and continued: “and you just admitted you’re guessing. I don’t even know you and I don’t care about any of you, but I’ll give you one piece of advice; don’t stick your nose into things where it doesn’t belong. I have a fair idea of what you mean so don’t talk about it in the open because that’s what probably going to lead to your death.” He sighed and was about to walk away. “I’ve already said too much and I don’t even want to know how you’re so certain a Skarmory is going to kill you, but I don’t want anything to do with that.” This time he did walk away. “And to answer your question Claude; Skarmory was a gift. It’s already too late for me so do me a favor and just stay out of it.” Somewhere in the stands “I have to admit that does sound like an improvement. I’m curious to see the results,” Franck said. Jeremy Brand smiled. “Just wait and see, but I’m afraid I have to go now. The final battle of the first round is going so I need to go to Craig. I’ll see you two later.” Franck nodded in acknowledgement while his granddaughter completely ignored Brand. “I don’t see what’s so good about him. All he does is use his money while others do all the hard work. Way to take the credits.” The old champion sighed. “At least he’s using his funds for the improvement of young trainers as well. Some people aren’t like that so I’m glad people like Brand are involved in this project.” He turned his attention back to the battle when he realized something. “By the way, I’ve been wondering for a while now but where are your Pokémon?” “Dunno. Around I guess.”
  20. You have Ryan to thank for that. Claude's approach was fine.
  21. Dobby and Tacos Evan glared at Ryan. "So your basically accusing me of becoming a murderer?" he asked aggressively before turning to Claude. "Is that what you're all talking about? That I'm some sort of a psychopath that's going on a killing spree?" Ryan's verbal attack obviously decreased Claude's chances to gain answers out of Evan without explaining why he was accused.
  22. Lana “Shelly!” Lana yelled as the small slug was hit. “Mud Barrage!” A series of Mud Bombs was shot in the air as Shellos got her act back together. The mud rained down over the place Erce managed to hit and the immediate area surrounding it. “Rhy, take out Nemo!” The Rhyhorn sneezed as Nemo’s attack as his horn turned into a metal-like color. The Rock type lashed out, ready to deal heavy damage. ((Metal Burst, no idea how to describe it. Shellos won't last much longer either.)) Dobby Evan’s guard was up as soon as Claude ordered Doux to keep watch. “So basically you’re telling me people are talking behind my back? And that I’m linked to the stampede that happened?” his anger started to rise. “Like I already said; Skarmory found me when I was knocked out by those Donphan so how can it be a bad sign? Have you seen its attention loving nature?” All Evan was doing was trying to gain some time to think. He was curious about how much people knew already. Or maybe he should come clean to Claude? But the risk that it would reach their ears was too risky… Luckily for Evan Skarmory decided to help out. As soon as she heard her name she hopped over to Claude and started to parade to get the boy’s attention. “See? Bad sign my ass… so what exactly are they saying behind my back?”
  23. This was actually entertaining to read. @K_H: that remark about color of vengeance is aimed at Evan. I can't make him completely innocent.
  24. “Oh great, it’s just one thing after another,” Logan complained as he got up from the floor. He studied the room as his eye fell on the marks on the door. “Lars, look at this. What should we do now?”
