    What level is your team at? Because Vaporeon learns Muddy Water at lvl 37 and Water Pulse at 17. Or is Eevee lvl 20 when you get it?

    I don't know if it's important or not but I forgot to mention the gender. Both Squirtle (Crush) and Chimchar (Ace) are male.

    Character Name: Sigurd Olafson Race: Human Class (Chosen God): Templar (Aelia) Appearance and Age: Green eyes, long blond hair that reaches his shoulders and a small beard. 23 years old and 5’6”. He travels light with a grey cloak and a dagger around his waist. He carries two swords on his back which he received from the Templar’s Guild of Aelia. Personality Overview: Proud of his battle skills which rely on skill and speed. Sigurd is highly religious and believes in the life of a warrior. He grew up in a village where strong warriors were respected and he wants that more than anything. Except from that he doesn’t take much seriously as he tries to enjoy life as much as possible. He’s rather goofy and is often with his head in the clouds. Despite that he’s a survivor, but can’t stand the heat since he was raised in the cold Northern Islands. He has a habit of lying down in the shadow until temperatures cool off and often says things like ‘The Goddess Aelia is smiling upon me today’. Backstory: His father died during a raid when he was only 3. A few years later his mother remarried the Chief (Olaf) of his village, who had lost his wife. He has 2 stepbrothers and 1 stepsister. He was close with them but couldn’t stand being in Olaf’s shadow forever. He wanted to be known for his own deeds so he decided to make a name for himself. To earn respect from his kinsmen he decided to become the best archer in the Northern Islands, until one day he discovered the art of Swordsmanship. He received praise for his potential with a sword and started focusing on being a swordsman ever since. During one of his practices he met a Templar. The man approached him and said he had a hidden talent given to him by the Goddess Aelia. At first Sigurd was suspicious since he grew up with stories about how nothing good ever happened when Templars were around; they were cowards practicing magic. Eventually Sigurd gave in to his curiosity and befriended the old man. When he noticed the progress he made under the guidance of the old Templar, he decided to ask him about the ‘hidden talent’ and was offered a place amongst the Templars. He was about to refuse until the villagers discovered the old man. Sigurd was shocked by the hatred in the eyes of his kinsmen and stood up for the Templar, only to be attacked by a few outrageous villagers as well. He fled his village and joined the Templars. After a few years polishing his skills he decided to travel around the world, gaining achievements. Deep down he hopes that his deeds will reach his village and that one day his kinsmen will accept him once again.

    Logan stared at the place where the tiger-lion-dog-thing had disappeared. We’re getting one of those? And we have to train it? He wasn’t really sure how he felt about it. A part of him was excited, but he also agreed with Keaton. He didn’t feel like being used as a chew toy by some overgrown tiger-dog. “Are we sure the Doc didn’t use his new toy again?” Logan asked. He still didn’t trust Dr. Ray after what he pulled earlier. “If he didn’t, I guess we all get different ones. I wonder what I’ll get.”

    I only played until gen 5. Favorite: Brendan / May because they don't bother you all the time. Least favorite: Cheren and Bianca. They annoy me for some reason, especially Bianca.

    This looks awesome and confusing at the same time lol. People from Aurora don't like magic, so can a Templar of the Goddess of WInd be from Aurora? Or doesn't a Templar really uses magic? Because dual wielding Viking!

    I assumed we could only pick from gen 1 because we had to discover / ran into other pokemon on missions. Maybe there should be a list of pokemon we can choose from other regions? If it stays just gen 1 the entire evolution line should be available or at least the pre-evolution even if they were introduced in other gens. Since Magby and Elekid now evolve at lvl 30 they can perfectly be a starter, while it still may be uncertain if Magmar and Electivire evolve. But I also think it would be too much to just let us choose whatever we want. As how I see the story, not yet every pokemon is discovered. The military is still researching them, so there should be restrictions. For example: Pick 2 starters up until gen 3 (+ evo line) with following restrictions: no pseudo-legendaries, no fairies / dragons (not yet discovered), ... As for Geodude and other pokemon like him: just treat them as a mystery for now or say they were animals who, when hit with the virus, transformed with part of their habitat or something. Might help for pokemon like Trevenant and Sudowoodo as well. Legendaries: They shouldn't be used very often. Only for a dangerous mission / enemy. Anyway that's my suggestion as how I see the rp.

    That might change. And people just started giving their preferences I guess... I mainly changed because I'm the only one without a 'unique' Pokémon. And since Legendaries Tamer introduced Turtwig and Gligar, it makes sense to pick from other regions.

    I voted for the Silver Kabutops, but they are both cool so... And for the shinies: I think it goes a bit too far if you change the sprites. Like others said it moves away from Pokémon. It's fine if you create an entire game like that (Snakewood), but letting them show up randomly... And I don't feel like it 'fits' Reborn tbh. If you want to have something 'Reborn only' why don't you just change the colors? That can count as some sort of mutation since the region is f*cked up.

    I don't have any problems with it. SInce Nathan is a pilot it makes more sense if he saw one while he was on a mission.. It would be different for another character who was just doing his daily life and saw one... Oh and if we can change starters: swapping Zubat with Chimchar

      Horde Battle/Exp. Share/Power weight. Then you can use a non-water pokemon to do it. Unless of course you're in Reborn...

    Logan was shocked when he saw Erick getting beat up. He looked at the other two authority figures; hoping one of them would stop their colleague. Even after it turned out to be some test Logan was still shocked and confused. It took him a moment to fully understand what had happened. That Doc is nuts! He could’ve demonstrated his new toy by using something else then beating one of us up. He had some questions, but wasn’t really sure if he wanted to know the answer. He had heard some strange rumors about the army. He didn’t believe most of them, considering it was his aunt who told him that, but after seeing Dr. Nutcase he started having doubts about the man’s sanity. Logan heard Clint asking a question and followed with his own. “Why are only the few of us selected? And why are you putting experienced soldiers like Nathan in the same group as civilians? That doesn’t make sense.” Logan paused. He had one more question, but that one sounded crazy. He decided to formulate it in a way he didn’t sound like his gossip loving aunt. “I heard rumors that the military is doing some strange experiments with the virus to create humanoid weapons. Are we just guinea pigs?” He said while staring at Ray with a suspicious look. Great job Logan, you were supposed to not use the words ‘humanoid weapons’. Now I’m gonna be the weird guy in the group.

    Not long after Logan had entered the barracks, some of the other recruits started drawing attention. He threw his bag on one of the lower bunks and ignored them, until some of them looked like they were ready to start trouble. This should be interesting... He thought. Logan continued to observe them. He wanted to know who he was dealing with. So far Nathan and Erick looked reliable, while that Sid guy was nothing but trouble. He took a mental note to never trust that guy. Apparently, he was raised on the streets just like Clint. But the latter seems to be capable to restrain himself. Logan made a mental note to himself. So far the ones speaking up were either raised on the street or had some experience with the military. Erick’s father was even a big shot Major he had heard about. It didn’t make any sense that he and Nathan were in the same barracks as civilians. Something was definitely wrong with this situation and it raised even more questions. Does this situation have something to do with those weird creatures? Why were we selected out of all those candidates? I want to find out.

    Logan stared at the screen. He only came here beause he was looking for a new challenge and those weird creatures looked interesting, but he didn't expect a test right off the bat. It didn't take long before his concentration left him. He became restless and started clicking answers without reading everything. Come on, how long does this test take? He expected that he had failed the test and was about to leave the room, when instructions appeared. Without completely reading them, he signed. I, Logan Walker, Hereby accept these conditions.

    Hey guys I'm new to RP. I like to try it out and this one looks interesting. So if you accept me: Char. Name: Logan Walker Char. Age: 19 Starting Partners: Squirtle (M, Crash), Zubat (F, Sky) Personality: The quiet and relaxed guy. Logan doesn't speak very often in group, unless he think's it's necessary. He's very observing with an eye for detail and a good memory, which is held back by his short attention span. He's friendly towards people he respects and who respect him. If you're in his bad books, he will treat you coldly. He's confident, but not in his navigation skills since his sense of direction left him a long time ago, Appearance: Small (5'4") with blond hair and green eyes. He doesn't stand out and his physical abilities are average. He's a good long distance runner. Home state/town: Staten Island Other/additional details: Not yet Feel free to give me pointers about my character. I tried 'buiding' him with the pointers given in the Sue-topic. You may also point out my grammar mistakes since English isn't my main language.

    Greninja learns Extrasensory at lvl 49 I think. But if you already have Typhlosion with Extrasensory and Alakazam, I would go for Ice Beam / Dark Pulse / Grass Knot / STAB water move. As for Typhlosion: If you go for a +SpAtk nature: Eruption / Flamethrower / Extrasensory / HP Grass.

    You seem to have most types covered, but you lack a wall. I don't know your preferences, but Greninja and Alakazam are frail. Also 5 (6 including Manectric) are special based... Typhlosion: What nature do you want Typhlosion to have? Because Thunderpunch and Quick attack aren't going to be very helpful. Try getting Eruption and hidden power or something. Greninja: Get ice beam / extrasensory or grass knot / dark pulse and whatever water stab attack you can get since surf isn't viable yet. I'm not sure if you can get dark pulse early, but don't make him physical. You can try to use a temporary filler move, but physical Greninja is garbage. I also forgot to say: Boomburst on Noivern. Hurricane is pretty powerful, but it misses a lot (unless its raining). If you want more accuracy go for air slash.

    I agree with Electric types in Reborn, before I knew I could go after SIrius, Connal destroyed my team so many times... In other games it's usually Ground and Fighting or Ground and Flying types. Haven't played X/Y but I'm pretty sure Fairy is now a problem as well since I always have a Dragon, Dark and Fighting type xD In competitive monotype I struggled against Bugs and Fairies.

    Water types! I suggest Mudkip or Piplup. Mudkip because with Damp and the secondary ground type he gains, will be really helpful in the beginning. (If you get some other pokémon that cover the grass weakness, because you'll need it) Piplup is pretty decent with the Steel typing it gets, but a lot depends on your other team members. (I usually end up with half my team weak to ground xD) I chose Froakie, but I'm about to face Noël and I'm replacing him. Protean comes in handy, but personally I think Jolteon does the job better... Plus I have Gyarados (<3) and Gastrodon. As for the others: Blastoise has a little more bulk, but doesn't get as much resistances as Empoleon, Feraligatr does the same job as Swampert and gets SD, Samurott is just.. meh

    Common Candies don't affect it. Only those berries that lower stats. (That's how I got a Chimeco)

    I named my in-game Gyarados Tempest o.O And I didn't have that much trouble with Aya, in episode 10 i beat her on the first or second try. Wish I could say the same about Noel...
