Yeah that's true in away but some mangas have a good enough plot that you don't even realize it when you're reading it.

I hate repeating plot, pretty much the reason why I find Fairy Tale so boring. Sorry to all Fairy Tale fans but i always feel like most of the arcs go like, Natsu and company get beat up by bad guys, Natsu and companany all go one on one against bad guys and beat everyone but the boss, the boss beats everyone but Natsu, Natsu gets some random power up he will never use again and beats the boss and the cycle repeats in the next arc. I know its probably just me but this is why i started to dislike Katekyo Hitman Reborn and Fairy Tale.

Ah I remember when people would rage over Florina's Cradily, not sure if those were good times. I think you should be fine against Corey, hes not a difficult gym leader. Make sure to gust away his corrosive field with pidegotto and bring a poison pokemon for toxic spkikes. About Growlithe your going to need to keep it as growlithe until 45 if you want flare bltz or 39 if you want flamethrower otherwise it doesn't get good STAB. You may want to replace kricketune soon it starts to lose its usefulness around this gym(btw whats with everyone using kricketune?) Not sure how pidegotto scales to the latter game but besides that your team seems fine though abilities and moves would be appreciated.
