@Bfroger: When most people can post, I'm at work (timezones...*shakes fist*). Yes, they need more interaction (they've had like one conversation...and maybe 3 or 4 spurts of one). It might have to happen in Ch 2 because Henry is eventually going to be forced in a room with 2 other guys he's not fond of washing dishes.
-
@Chim: I'm pretty sure Henry has a bit of fun with everyone, not just Alvin. He just doesn't openly admit it. Still have so many jokes and I'm not even thinking of innuendos yet. Considering Henry lived in a desert, I'm pretty sure he'd be aware Danielle was okay. "A little sand ain't gonna kill ya," would be similar to something he would say. Speaking of that, I definitely could Henry saying everyone is a little too trusting (I swear everyone is just foddering me to make Henry a little bit wiser/like this). They did all just meet yesterday.

@Tses: Welcome to team coordinators (plus Alvin, Lana, and apparently Evan). You'll probably have a lot of fun scaring the heck out of Shiro with that Misdreavus. Other than that, you can experience Henry's immoral behavior, Shiro's awkwardness, Danielle's teasing, Claude (words cannot describe him), and much more. Coming soon: Kenny, Henry, and Alvin will be trapped in a room doing dishes. Kenny and Henry don't get along and everyone dislikes Alvin. I can't guarantee everyone will make it out alive @Chim: I'd lmao if the guard forgot to lock the gate. It'd certainly speed things up (Might want to consider dividing them into solo missions (they have comrades) next time).

Henry watched at what almost became a horrific scene. She's really lucky. Who knows what that could've done? He then recalled when his Vulpix almost burnt the kids face off. I guess I'm not one to talk. If that was Zuko instead...I don't want to think about it. He then released the Vulpix out of the Poke ball. The Vulpix was about to jump into the field, but the Venonat stopped him with Confusion. The Venonat released him shortly after and the Vulpix turned around and growled at the bug. "Zuko, stay back. I don't want to get any more involved than we already have. Besides, I barely even know the girl." The Vulpix then gave its infamous cute look as if it was trying to say but she's your friend. Henry looked at the Vulpix completely unfazed by the look. "No, means no and that's final. Keep trying my patience and you won't be having dinner tonight." Both the trainer and the Vulpix knew that last part was a lie, but the little fox complied following his master as he fought through the crowd to go somewhere more spacious. -
@Chim: I think the bigger issue for me was that no one said anything (maybe they did in that ninja post line I completely missed). I think Jory has a right to be pissed at me and Exlink, but hopefully all of this will be water under the bridge. Seriously, don't be afraid to say if I'm doing something wrong because I don't get offended. (It may have looked like I was yelling or frustrated, but I really wasn't...more confused at the start if anything). Also, thanks for clearing that pokemon attacking thing up in my head (I was going to ask about it later down the line). All we can do is learn from our mistakes and laugh about them later. Besides, I don't think anyone is holding any grudges. After all, Jory still gets the girl Edit: By no one saying anything, I mean before I posted what I did in the RP (not here)

I know it's a hyperbole and I'm not one to talk because I was part of the conflict, but I think we need someone else as well as chimchain to be spectating these battles and have authority (preferably on the west coast) over them. I remember chim saying that if this were to occur again (after my Kenny vs Henry BS battle) he'd have a teacher or forest protector intervene (and cause serious injury). Let's say I was in charge probably not a good idea, I would've been able to call out K_H for the Dark Pulse way earlier leaving it (let's just pretend I'm two different people) less likely for Commander's PC to just go with it and base their post around that because they wouldn't have to wait 5 or 6 additional hours for Chim to resolve it. Edit: I guess I could do it because I've taken physics and statistics as well as know quite a bit about competitive battling, but I'm new to RPing so I don't think I'd be the best option.
-
Agreed. @Everyone Else: Can we all make a promise not to drag the PCs into the battle and let the pokemon do the fighting from now on?
-
@Huk: Here's how it went. Jory ordered an attack expecting it to hit Darklight's Larvesta. This part is okay. In ordered to bring out some of her character's backstory I believe, Darklight had her PC jump into the field ready to take the attack. Chim already gave me a warning about a move attacking a human so I assume it's no different here. Jory is not in the wrong, but by the Ruleset we don't know what would happen. The real question is should Darklight's PC intervention be allowed or not. Edit: Looks like we're rolling it back to Darklight's post so that Jory gets a say. Before anyone does anything, I suggest we wait for Chim to get back on.
-
Sorry, I'm not yelling like it looks like. Yeah, I overreacted a bit. I really do think we should make it a rule that trainers can't jump in a fight in order to block an attack without discussion prior to the post. It'll throw up too many alarms. This is the second time this situation has come up. I did commit the first one (dear god you don't want to know the consequences).
-
@Jory and Exlink: That's between you two and Darklight to figure out. I only tried interviening BECAUSE I GOT A WARNING FOR DOING SOMETHING IN A SIMILAR SITUATION. I would've let Danielle be hit otherwise. Edit: Jory, is there a way for you to cancel the attack. I feel that'd be a better solution than the white knight method.
-
I only did something because I didn't know if you would come back on before Chim did or Darklight had some kind of idea. We really need to go into discussions in case we want to do something like this and figure out who should resolve it. @Huk: I pretty much resolved it by stepping back.
-
Henry vs Jacob, that could be fun. @ Jory, well, I didn't have any better ideas and this is pretty much and I didn't want another Henry vs Kenny episode. Time to edit again. @ Exlink: You play hero, Henry will just sit back and watch.
-
I'll edit my post to have him go after Jacob and block his Pokemon instead from attacking again. Sound like a plan.
-
Actually, keep your post the same except have Magnemite prepared to take attacks at the end of it and I'll finish it. Slade can ask if she's okay, but Henry will simply call Gypsy back.
-
I'll edit my post so that Slade saved her (wouldn't a sound attack actually make the situation worse...nevermind). @Exlink: I don't see attacks being able to block that much power at this point. How about we agree to have both pokemon shield her. (101 can still break the attack into weaker ones and both can absorb whatever is left of it).

@Darklight: The only thing I can think of that would reach Danielle fast enough and survive would be Henry's Venonat. I could have that block the attack so that Chim doesn't have another freak attack (unless you have a plan).
-
@Stratos: you really don't have any competition when it comes to this ship Claude: is afraid of her Rhyhorn and gay Henry: didn't realize she was behind him Shiro: Too naive and shyer than even she is Alvin: Obsessed with bugs over anything else Evan: Too antisocial for her, makes her uncomfortable Danielle: Probably your most competition, but not gonna happen You know the best part about that list. These are people you're probably going to have to deal with if you pair up with her (maybe not Henry and Evan so much).

Henry looked down at the Venonat and then back at the boy walking away. He remembered something Devin told him yesterday. “Balance. I found the right balance between authority and being their friend.” "I feel as if I'm starting to understand what Devin was saying. I guess I was a little hard on you to start with, but we're even for that little incident with Zuko. Even though I forfeited, you're still here with me so I must not be too bad of a trainer...I mean coordinator." Henry remained silent with the purple puffball still in his hands. She actually seemed to enjoy it. "Then there's that Zorua. Somethings not right with it and I should've realized it sooner. Prof Redwood might know something about it so I might ask him." Why did I have to start out on a bad note with him? Henry then focused his attention back on the battle where he saw the Murkrow raise its wings. Danielle looked up and finally noticed the sun. Looks like she's figured it out. Guess I'll have to say something about it to her later. Still, this just makes the battle more interesting. I wonder who will win. -
Can't believe this played out so well I kind of like how Henry and Kenny don't get along. It was pretty much destiny from the get go.
-
A majority is still a majority (I thought there'd be more breeders TBH). Anyways, I may of given Kenny a character development point using Henry's Sueishness (He won't give out any more advice any time soon). I can't believe I found a solution to explain the things Zorua did. Edit: Henry, this was probably a bad time to do something like that. You're going to have to be in the same room with him and Alvin in a little while.

"Idiot," Henry mumbled just enough so that no one could hear him. "That Zorua of yours was able to do things that are quite strenuous at such a premature state. Then, you ordered your Riolu to keep attacking despite the burn when there was no way to win. If I hadn't done what I did, you could've ended up killing that Riolu. Instead of trying to be the best, maybe you should be more concerned about your pokemon's safety. Consider this a warning: if we ever fight again, I won't hold back, neither will any other opponent." Henry then picked up the Venonat on the ground. "I think it's best I leave before we have another incident like yesterday." -
Don't worry, Henry hasn't all of a sudden turned into this super nice person. I'm just setting it up for him to do what he does best. Edit: I hate that I had to have him assume Kenny was a trainer, but 80% of the school are probably trainers so it's not a outrageous assumption.

"Hey, You had me on edge the whole time. but yeah, i'd say that we're both rookies in terms of Double Battles. It was certainly a learning experience for me, that's for sure." Now that I hear it. It sounds kind of arrogant. "Pardon me for asking, but I feel like you're part of the trainer program based on that battle. Can you tell me what you hope to accomplish out of it? I wouldn't normally ask, but I saw something interesting in our little battle." Henry's smile turned into a more serious look.
