  5. Oh. Wow. Aaaaaanyway, tried out Zac today. Turns out he's a good mid, I won't lie. Not as good as he is up top, but he can be an AP mid if you need one. I build him with Sorcerer's Shoes, Warmog's Armor, Spirit Visage, Zhonya's Hourglass, Sunfire Cape, and a wild card, mostly ones with Spell Vamp (ex. Hextech Gunblade) and Health Regen (like Runic Bulwark). I like him top, and mid too I guess. I haven't tried jungling with him yet.

  9. I know it sucks, but you have to look at the big picture. Being able to sit with your friends at prom means very little, since you will have ample opportunity to converse with them later.
  10. Guess what? It's another Try This set. Haven't done in a while, so... TRY THIS!   What. The Hell. Just Happened to Tyranitar.   Politoed (M) @ Choice Band Trait: Drizzle / Water Absorb EVs: 100 HP / 252 Atk / 156 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Waterfall - Ice Punch - Earthquake - Return / Brick Break / Sleep Talk   So today I was staring blankly at the computer with a friend yapping in my ear about Bioshock and how messed up the game apparently was. Eventually, the conversation rant turned to karate frogs. I don't remember how he got there, but that's besides the point. It got me thinking. Karate frog...well at first I thought Toxicroak. Then Poliwrath...then Politoed. Yes, it got that far. Physical Politoed: Mostly for surprise value, but man, does it surprise. A Choice Band makes its Attack go over 400, which means Waterfall hits nicely hard. Ice Punch is some follow up coverage; although it's nowhere near Waterfall in power on Politoed, it still OHKO's many birds including the feared Tornadus-T after Stealth Rocks. Steels can be a pain in the ass, so Politoed has a bunch of options for them; namely Earthquake. If you're fortunate enough to catch something like Raikou asleep at the wheel then you can OHKO them, along with Steels and other Pokemon that threaten to pop your balloon of joy that comes with using CB Politoed. You have numerous options for the last set. Return is an all-around solid attack that's reliable and your best option on things like Gastrodon. Brick Break makes a statement against Tyranitar, telling that son of a b**ch to stop switching in on your damn rainfall. Sleep Talk is a good option in case Amoonguss got the better of you. Get some Stealth Rock support and you'll be good to go. Seriously, do it. It turns 2HKOs into OHKOs.

  12. Yeah, that changed to two hours.
  13. In any case, it looks like Zac isn't available just yet. Eh, someone mentioned that it'll be out in a couple days if it follows usual trends for new champions after patches. I'm taking their word for it.
  14. That feel when I got shit to do, man!
  15. For those who can't be bothered leaving the site to check out the deets, the most recent update includes the following: (Anything in pink is a quote from Morello) Zac's launch, judging by the files included in the patch. Karma's highly anticipated relaunch. Hecarim's cooldown on his W spell increased by just over 20% (who here plays Hecarim, anyway?). "The previous version of Spirit of Dread did not offer enough opportunities for tactical decision-making. With higher cooldowns, our goal is to reintroduce strategic choices other than merely activating the ability whenever it is available." Rumble's ultimate was rewired with the elimination of impact damage in favor of increased burn damage. Said burn damage now has no delay, to compensate for the loss of immediate pain infliction. "Rumbles ultimate was intended to be an area control effect but, with the large upfront damage it deals, it tends to be used more as a long-range nuke instead. With this patch, were adjusting The Equalizer to better match its original intent." Udyr got a big overhaul, including but not limited to: decreased cooldowns on all of his stances, numerous changes to Bear Stance, and some other little things. "Our goals were to make changing stances feel more impactful, transfer power from passive stats to actual noticeable effects and reduce problematic lane issues." Master Yi's Double Strike now gets faster based on Attack Speed rather than being a fixed 0.6 seconds. Akali's stealthing/revealing under Twilight Shroud is now immediate, and she reveals herself as she attacks or casts a spell (rather than upon doing damage). "Akalis Twilight Shroud was behaving inconsistently before this patch, so weve adjusted it to better match its visual and theme, and to provide greater opportunity for counterplay." When playing as Warwick, you can now see the range of a couple of your spells before you cast them (as you couldn't before) Nashor's Tooth costs more money. (now 2500G from 2270G) Turrets are now considerably more powerful. "In Season 3, we made a few changes that made turrets feel less like a safe haven for defenders especially in the early parts of the game. Specifically, with turrets attacking minions in a set order and some champions itemizing for health earlier on, its become easier for teams to push aggressively and even dive turrets with low risk. These changes should give defending players more of a fighting chance when under their own turret." A biggie about this patch, and my favorite part of it, is the champion select / AFK detection addition. If there are any players who fail to choose a champion in a match-made game, their match is terminated (as opposed to being given a random champion), and they are given a queue dodge penalty and removed from queue. This applies to both Blind Pick and Draft Pick games; however, in a Draft Pick Game, the only person assigned a queue dodge penalty is the player whose turn it was to pick when their timer runs out, even if that player is in an arranged team. In these games, players who had already picked a champion when the match was terminated (or were waiting for their turn to do so in a Draft Pick game) are automatically returned to the matchmaking queue. If the player who failed to choose is on an arranged team, the team is returned to the arranged team lobby (and removed from queue) but only the AFK player will be assessed a queue dodge penalty. I like these changes. Makes it easier for a common ADC like myself when my supporter is shit (which will happen a lot with all the free Sonas). I also really wanna see what Zac does. I've been intrigued by Flubber On Steroids and I wanna see what that thing can do. Like I said before, sounds like a really annoying harassing champion that jungles / plays top. Being able to counterplay Akali somewhat easier doesn't hurt either Lookin forward to it. No seriously, I am. EDIT: Karma has been disabled for now due to a bug.

  22. Throwing in my bit...it's about the ladder. N There were a bunch of us talking this morning (i think it was me, Brave and Explosms but that really doesn't matter) about looking at the ladder and seeing how many of the people who are at the top 10 or so right now, for the most part, coincides with those same people hand a shit load of other alts (over a hundred in some cases). We kinda came to a consensus that starting over with a new alt contributes largely to why they are up top: - you get bigger boosts for winning off the bat, which could surpass progress of a hundred battles as previous alts in as little as three - It's also a way to take a massive chunk out of scores that are higher up, potentially lifting another alt to the number one spot where the "fallen opponent" used to be before losing 25+ points in one battle It's easy to tell that a second/third/hundredth alt has pretty good odds to heavily skew scores on the ladder in one's own favor. That said, it seems to be a good idea to place a limit on the number of alts one can use for the competition (perhaps something like three). Using different alts over and over again is, more or less, an equivalent of boosting - unethicality to gain an advantage. Nobody should have to stoop to such a low - I used one alt to get to 1328 in OU, and I'm confident others can do the same. Hey, it's my opinion, but I know I can get some people to agree with me on that one. EDIT: I seriously hope this isn't an April Fools joke, or else I just made myself look like the biggest idiot in Reborn history.
  23. I got disappointed when the new Nero items didn't reference the villain from Star Trek.
