OP shamelessly stolen from Hilda Approved by yung danny NeverUsed Showcase In which, we discuss offensive and defensive threats in the NU metagame. Song of the Week: Pokemon of the Week: Camerupt (Mega) Viability in NU: S Rank - Mega Camerupt's wallbreaking power is nothing to be toyed with. The ability Sheer Force and a good enough special movepool to make use of means nothing standing in from of this behemoth is coming out unscathed. It has a great typing to stop fire spam, a common strategy in NU. The downsides of using Mega Camel are that its slow as molasses so it is rather easily revenge killed and its very poor defensive typing (4x weakness to water) outside of stopping Fire types. Sets to use on Camerupt: Also a very neato balance core based around Mega Camerupt is Vileplume-Prinplup-Mega Camel: Mega Camel is one of the more interesting 'mons in NU. Its shallow movepool leaves a lot more to be desired but with what it does have it puts to good use. Its super low speed stat make it one of the slowest 'mons in the game and holds it back from being one of the very best pokemon in NU. Good teammates are things that can get rid of bulky waters for Camerupt. (Lilligant, Vileplume, Rotom.) 'Mons that enjoy Fire types gone also make good partners for Camerupt. (Lilligant/Sneasel.)
