The barrier astonishingly created by the young girl named Enya surrounding Rose, Ellaria and Damian began to flicker, as if it was running out of energy.
Damian had to think fast. There had to be a way to lure away the wolf, but how? Damian began to hurridley look around for objects to distract the wolf. It was if the rabid animal was a large force of angry energy, beating against the shimmering wall. Damian could feel its rage and discontent with his comrades. Maybe he could talk to it, scare it off; anything seemed like a good idea now.
"Hey! Shew! Go away, STOP!! GO!!!" All of his silly shouts were in vain and only seemed to make the large canine even angrier. There had to be a way, it couldn't be hopeless, could it? He had to come far to give up on his dreams. So there Damian stood with his head in his hands. Thinking, hoping, praying for some sort of miracle. The shield had begun to glow ever so dimly an and looked more like a clear bubble that could be popped with the poke of a finger.
Please...just....just leave us alone. Just as the wolf lept it froze, stared at Damian, seeming to lean in closer to hear what he had to say. The wolf's countenance was one of...was it mercy? Was he letting them off the hook? But just a second a go it was trying to slaughter them all.
The wolf's enraged energy ebbed away and was being replaced with something more somber. Could it be possible that the wolf had heard Damian's plea and granted them life?
Can I speak to animals now? Nah no way... No he could not speak to animals. Not only because the idea was so farfetched but that he could feel the fear in the hearts of his newfound friends. Feel the gripping emotion that was slowly loosening its hold and being replaced with relief. But...how? That's the question of the day isn't it...
