First of all, when I look at the second to last panel I immediately think of the [url="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2P5qbcRAXVk&feature=related"]Alert Sound[/url] from Solid Snake.

Second of all, good job on the first panel. If anything it shows that you have a level of artistic ability beyond just doing chibis. You can clearly show detail and accuracy with portraying something as intricate as the eye. The lens flare is also a nice touch and adds to the close up shot.

Thirdly, I like the dialogue for this page. We focus a lot on the art direction as we should, but this is still a story and so the words are important, too. The second and third panels have that reluctant involvement that I like to see, when the protagonist doesn't necessarily want to jump into the fold because he has common sense. Sarcasm is always a plus as well. Then the dialogue from the grunts reveals the motivation of the grunts you always wonder about. Do they truly believe in their cause? Do they understand what they're doing? Is it for money? Protecting someone? Grunts matter, too, man! And with these two we see that they understand to some degree what they're doing and that it is destructive and are thus relieved that their loved ones will not be affected. Minor development that you can enjoy during that moment, but not going to be important in the real story. That's what makes a narrative enjoyable.

"There! The guy on our right. He's balancing a black tornado of doom on his finger!"
