@ Shadyserpent: I took the steel type because I thought it would be too OP otherwise... And for making it a little different to Aegis. It could be changed though.

Mega Electrode

Normal/Electric

(new Ability) Controlled Explosion

- Self-destruct and Explosion don't defeat it's user but leave it with 1 HP.

This ability is disabled after the first activation and another selfdestructive move cannot be used in the current battle.

Stats: old / new (+value)

HP: 60 / 60 (+0)

Atk: 50 / 60 (+10)

Def: 70 / 85 (+15)

Sp.Atk: 80 / 100 (+20)

Sp.Def: 80 / 100 (+20)

Spd: 140 / 165 (+35)

Increased it's speed to a horendous amount! Since it IS the fastest electric type, and the fifth-fastest in the game.

I gave it a Normal Type to make explosion and Self-Destruct STAB-Moves, they are kinda it's Signature moves. Also the normal-type adds a fighting weakness.

And since they are it's signature moves and it's new normal-type, I decided to gave it a new ability so it could use these moves at least once in a battle without directly fainting.

New Design:

This is tricky... it's a friggin BALL with eyes!

Maybe instead of a normal pokeball it will look like a masterball^^

You know, the Johto starters are the only set of starters to all stay pure Grass/Water/Fire types. So maybe with the megas we could keep it that way? Just a suggestion...

Name: Mega Typhlosion

Type: Fire(/Ground if you're feeling frisky, but meh, don't think it'd be a good idea)

Ability: Turboblaze

Old Stats: 78/ 84 / 7 8/109/8 5/100 (BST : 534)

New Stats: 78/134(+50)/88(+10)/159(+50)/85/90(-10) (BST : 634)

Turboblaze Eruption and Earthquake are the reasons why this should be a thing. Threatens Heatran and Rotom-W and all sorts of good stuff that needs wall-breaking.

As I was going through creating this thing, I realised it has a lot of similarities to Reshiram. This Mega Typhlosion has slightly higher offenses than Reshiram but it's balanced for an OU (or even a UU) spot because pure Fire typing + severely lacking movepool (no Draco Meteor either) + lack of item + no set-up moves barring Power-up Punch and Flame Charge + SR being even worse for it than a normal Fire-type because it relies on Eruptions are all good reasons for it not to be Ubers (or even possibly OU)-worthy. I was having a hard time finding clear-cut counters at first but most bulky waters (Slowbro, Milotic, Suicune) and Chansey can deal with all of its sets just fine. It also has plenty of checks in Greninja, Talonflame, Azumarill, Starmie etc.

Competitively, what you'd be trying to do it predict the Fire move, switch into Typhlo, then smack something hard on the switch-in, like you would with Chandelure. It does however, lose the Flash Fire boost on Mega-evo (Houndoom confirms), so that's something to be wary of. It might be worth it to not even Mega-evo if you want to retain the boosted Eruption (which does more damage than a Mega-Evoed Eruption).

Potential competitive sets:

Mixed

Typhlosion (M) @ (Typhlosionite)

Trait: Flash Fire -> Turboblaze

EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Naive Nature

- Eruption

- Earthquake

- Rock Slide/Wild Charge

- Focus Blast/Extrasensory

Physical Flame Charge

Typhlosion (M) @ (Typhlosionite)

Trait: Flash Fire -> Turboblaze

EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Adamant/Jolly Nature

- Flame Charge

- Earthquake

- Rock Slide/Wild Charge

- Flare Blitz

Special

Typhlosion (M) @ (Typhlosionite)

Trait: Flash Fire -> Turboblaze

EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd

Modest/Timid Nature

- Eruption

- Extrasensory

- Focus Blast

- Overheat/Fire Blast/Hidden Power

Name: Mega Bisharp

Type: Dark/Steel

Ability: Checkmate - Prevents the opponent from switching out (similar to Shadow Tag, but this includes ghost-types)

Old Stats: 65/125/100/60/70/70

New Stats: 65/165/120/60/80/100

Ultimate revenge killer, can also be a great swords dance sweeper.

Name: Mega Breloom

Type: Grass/Fighting

Ability: Speed Boost

Old Stats: 60/130/80/60/60/70

New Stats: 60/180/100/60/70/90

Gave it speed boost to make up for the not-so-good speed which never made much sense to me considering Breloom looks like a fast 'mon. Can set up on things after putting them to sleep.

Mega Mismagius

Type: Ghost/Psychic

Ability: Shadow Tag

Old stats:

60/60/60/105/105/105 (495)

New stats:

75/50/75/145/115/125 (585)

Ghost/Psychic because dual-types are cool and it has access to Psychic through TM, Psybeam through Misdreavus' level-up set. Mismagius needs a bit more oomph, tbh.

Mega Sharpedo

Type: Dark

Ability: Strong Jaw (Y'know. Shark..?)

Old stats:

70/120/40/95/40/95 (460)

New stats:

100/150/75/80/75/115 (595)

Strong Jaw because it's a friggin' shark. It has access to Ice Fang/Crunch/Bite.. And Speed Boost Sharpedo is stupid op already.

Illegal! You can't change their base HP and you must add exactly 100 to the BST :P.

I'm questioning why you would change it's typing to pure dark and are not just keeping it water and dark. Especially since a 150 waterfall is nothing to take lightly (going by yout mega stats here).
