They are powerful Wizards that created their own unlife for some reason or another. (can't tell you why the Crimson King has right now..) He is only a Lich King because he was an actual King in his living days, not because he is a king of Liches.

Actually trying to think of a way to sneak Fiddler on the Green in somehow, but still do justice to it. (D&W is so damn good... as well as Blind Guardian etc, glad I started listening to Metal again.) EDIT: checked your paper doll (old D and D term, just using it now incase I slip back at some point, it means character sheet.) and you said he is around 130, but there was no matter of fact number.

The projection you are speaking of is the Crimson King's Simulacrum, a.k.a he himself is the projection. There is no other realm. Also who the heck is the Lightbringer?
