BigRolf66
So while I was exploring Blacksteeple Castle, I noticed a couple of things that led me to form a few theories on who the previous owner of the castle is. As of now, the best two candidates are Indriad/Vitus Theolia; or Nymiera. - Nymiera: While I'm not as certain with this theory, I do have a few reasoning as to why Nymiera is the owner (or previous) of Blacksteeple castle. Firstly, is the throne room, in which the entrance looks similar to the archetype (as well as the symbol appearing right in front of the throne). Another thing is two statues of her in the throne room. One last thing is in the Alternate Timeline arc, where we arrive at Blacksteeple and see the painting of Nymiera (but that could just be unrelated). But that really is the only three confirmed things I can use to relate, aside from my own unrelated theories (one of which that Nymiera is Madame X - but I won't really get into that because there's still debate on that issue). - Indriad/Vitus Theolia: This one in my opinion could be a lot more plausible than Nymiera for a variety of reasons. But the most important point I can make is that when we first encounter Braixen in the hidden house, we find a few books on "how to deal with domestic violence", as well it mentioning that it was owned by "someone named Anathea". This imo heavily insinuates that at one point the Theolia's owned the castle (which wouldn't be too farfetched considering they were one of the richest families in Aevium). The second point is in the Alternate Timeline, in which Melanie (who is technically Melia since they can overlap) owns the castle. I can't say much on where Melanie came from or if she is a Theolia, or even has the power of the archetype like Melia/Maria, Alice, Allen and Erin do - but IF Melanie was the child of Indriad, then that helps my theory slightly. A minor detail which helps both cases is the statue of the absol in the garden, which details the dark prophecy. Don't know how much it would help, but it somewhat narrows it down to the two of them considering Nymiera is a protector of Aevium and would know of the prophecy, and Indriad has both the light and dark prophecy in his garden (as far as I remember). Anyways, I would have definitely missed a lot of things or read into things a bit too much, but if anyone has any feedback, agreements or disagreements feel free to write it down - I enjoy reading through theories on this game! Eixenr
I'm pretty sure, in the alternate timeline, Madame X clearly says it used to belong to Nymiera. But Indriad probably owned it at some point, since we have the book about domestic abuse. I also found some similarities between the layout of manor of chapter 3, and the castle (or maybe i just overthink it) 2

Blontary
I confirm that in the alternate time line it is revealed the castle was Nymiera's
pizzagod13
As others have mentioned it is confirmed to be owned by Nymeria. Madame X says so herself.

So we know that it is heavily implied that Nymiera and Indriad are the two people from the Arceus backstory, and I'm guessing that at one point it was their castle before Indriad left. And supposedly after Nymiera abandoned the castle, Indriad and Anathea could've moved back in or just used it as a temporary home of sorts. I wonder now how Madame X is linked to all of them - especially since my personal theory on her identity is that she is either Nymiera or Anathea. enderowl
Wasn't there two castles right next to each other on Blacksteeple? One that we are in and the other that no one could even get into. What if the one that we were in was Nymeria's castle, hence the Xerneas statues in the courtyard and garden, and the one that no one could even get into is Indriad's castle?
