Oak is just there. He sends you on a quest to be his errand boy and complete the dex but doesn't do anything interesting. Elm was so relevant he didn't even do the introduction to the games. Birch... he's okay? Does he actually do anything? From here on out the professors become relevant. Rowan: utter badass Juniper: actually acts like a responsible professor and checks up on the player without being irrelevant like Oak. She's probably closest to how a professor should act with young trainers they send on their adventures. Sycamore: same as Juniper and introduces you to mega evolution. His worst trait is in the anime where they decided to give him the 'marvelous' catchphrase. (Sounds really dumb in the subbed version) Kukui is a special case. He's always there and imo he's there too much when it's not needed. It's like he's holding your hand through some parts of the game. Well, he might actually be babysitting Lily... I forgot Alolan Oak: annoying in the anime and randomly pops up to ask for regional variants. So meh. Oak: 3 Rowan: 17 Juniper: 18 Sycamore: 18 Kukui: 19 Link to post Share on other sites
