Slumbering Giant VS Supernova

Mommo wasn't at all confident. If anything, she was extremely worried after what happened in the last fight. So no, this wasn't confidence, this was a facade, and an attempt to counter the enemy as much as possible.

Supernova started flying around the ield. Good, now she had found out one of her enemy's strenghts. "You're going to have to fly a lot higher if you want to feel safe..." Clenching the controls tighter than ever, Mommo spun her mech's torso as fast as she could (which wasn't really that fast, but allowed her vision of him through her screens) towards her enemy. At the same time, the Giant activated one of the cluster grenades, targeting it low above the water. It burst almost instantly, the clusters hitting the water to the side of Supernova's trajectory. Each one of them sent pillars of water towards the sky which together formed a wall of water at her enemy to distract them and damage their visibility. At the same time, seeing as the Supernova was now to the side of her, Mommo activated the cannon in her other hand and fired it right at them. The burst of energy raised as much water behind itself as Supernova did and would hit their side if they kept the same movement regimen.

"Heh." Tai relaxed the jets and punched the island next to him, sending him flying up high. He activated the Fire Shield right away, and regained his momentum with it. The slowdown caused by the sudden change of vertical momentum let him avoid the blast of water caused by Slumbering Giant's energy blast.

Now higher up in the air, he saw the Slumbering Giant facing him. "So, its upper body can rotate..., and its blasts can make splashes. I wonder if that was the highest they could go?" Tai thought to himself. He rocketed toward the fully-armed giant, rapid-firing weak heat blasts diagonally down the surface with his hands, generating hot steam along the trail. If Slumbering Giant cannot stop his approach, he would slam them with a double-handed knuckle to the top and propelling himself up again.

Strider vs. The Revenant

Morgan found herself on a small island in the arena, much to her surprise. It almost seemed like a tropical paradise... either that or one of those deserted islands from those TV shows. Either way, the field itself seemed to fit her well. Each island seemed small enough to hold only one mech. If Morgan had a melee based mech, then there might be a problem. But she doesn't. She scanned the field, trying to memorize each and every island in the arena. Unfortunately for her, she somehow managed to catch a small glimpse of the crowd... and looked up to see everything.

Literally. Everything.

Morgan's entire face turned red as she shut her eyes, unable to get the image of several people, which were somewhere between half naked and completely naked, out of her head. That's definitely not going away anytime soon. She pounded her head a few times to try to clear her mind a bit... or maybe it was because she was actually idiotic enough for it to catch her eye in the first place. "...W-why in the hell did I look up." She asked herself. That was the biggest mistake that she'd made all day... and the match didn't even start yet. "I pray that image isn't etched into my brain... That'd be the worst." She sighed. "There's not much that I could do about it now, butt... dammit!" Yeah, this isn't going to be easy. Morgan took a deep breath as she tried to clear her mind. "Okay, Morgan... Let's just try to focus on the match."

She finally faced her opponent, which was the very same man that she had met the night before, The Revenant. He's got the first seat and his mech was an SMO build... That's really all that was on the dossier. On the plus side, there really wasn't much that would keep him close and up to her face, but on the minus side, he took the first seat, which probably means that he could find a way around that disadvantage. Morgan then took a good look at what she was up against, using her glasses' lenses to zoom in for a better look... at the mech, at least. She didn't want to do that twice, especially when she's zoomed in this time. At first glance, The Revenant looked the same as a melee based mech, and then it emitted a bolt of lightning. From it's face, no less.

Oh, Morgan was definitely going to enjoy the lightshow. With those sparks of lightning and the arena mostly covered in water, Strider's EAS would be spiked up in no time. Of course, Morgan shouldn't get overconfident, lest said overconfidence become her downfall like her last opponent. No. Even with the advantage, she had to be careful. Her opponent this time was in the first seat, after all. Ms. Belle checked to see if everything was running well, which it was. All thrusters jets were ready, all weapons were primed, and EAS was ready to go. All in all, everything was good.

Morgan took a deep breath and closed her eyes. And when they opened, it was her other side looking through those glasses. Her arm-mounted machine guns were at the ready. "Let's get started, shall we?" She said it, directing her words to her opponent. Her comms weren't open, though, so The Revenant most likely didn't hear. Still, she knew she was ready for a fight. And a fight she'll get. Morgan started off by hopping over from island to island, firing her machine guns as she did so.

Revenant vs Strider

I'm sorry, but I couldn't resist...

He wasted no time as the girl began island hoping, feet deftly maneuvering and muscling for rank across the stone surface of one isle to another as the bullet's whizzed by. No Tesla Fields, just the Mech's natural agility and it's pilot's years of footwork as he dodged and bounded about the field's outcroppings. Soon enough he would have to flaunt a bit more to get in good, but... for now he simply went about his way, keeping his distance and his head on a swivel as he tracked Strider's every move... and an eye in the sky as the shimmering remains of the light spectacle from his earlier bolt finally died down into nothing, though the crowd's attention had more or less long since been stolen by the start of the fighting.

"Very interesting... it was brighter than I was expecting at that intensity level... but let's see what this kid can do, besides hop and shoot" With virtually no warning, Ragnorak came around in a sweeping arc within her master's hands as he continued on the move, static streaming along her length and setting her a hot, dazzling scarlet as a single slice of electric field came flying towards the SFD just as she was midway between hopping from one platform to another. More of a test than anything else; despite it's size and speed, it held even less strength than the blast he had fired into the barrier over the field... not that anyone besides himself would be able to tell from looking at the charging swath as it carved through the air. Supernova had been an fellow SMO with rocket capabilities and reflexes that seemed to be at least around par to his own; if even they had been given trouble avoiding the strike, Solomon doubted the girl would fair any better in that department.

But he was curious about the strange readings that had begun trickling in. He'd picked up results like them many a time before, of course. They usually suggested a forcefield of some kind, likely one intended to keep the Armor rating lower on paper than it actually proved in combat; it wasn't like the idea of having a defensive field to deceive the opposition was anything new or uncommon (hell, technically speaking, even he himself was guilty of it too)... nor was it even an idea that was all that deceptive when one had seen them used so many times that they had simply tuned their own diagnostic systems to start looking for it immediately in a fight.

But there was still something... off about this one. Something not normally present in a field detection.

Whatever that something was though, the readings alone couldn't exactly tell him. But toying around for a bit probably could...

Hellfire Knight vs Silent Requiem

Hiroki leaned over just far enough that she could get her main cannon to bear directly on the now sinking sphere as a small indicator on her HUD faded to gray. Another flickered along with a faint rising tone as her systems sought a target lock. "All auxiliary power to main cannon!" she shouted at her onboard systems, and clenched her right fist inside her metallic exoskeleton. Her visor darkened as a searingly bright ray lanced out toward Silent Requiem, water flashing to steam as it burned toward its intended victim. Water dampened her power, yes, robbing her attacks of heat, but there was enough energy behind the beam to push through and cause Silent Requiem a world of harm if it wasn't avoided.

Slumbering Giant VS Supernova - Time for a tango of overblown character-development that will later allow me to do stuff, hopefully!!!

Mommo was growing pissed. Really now, whatever that thing around her neck was supposed to do, it better do it now, because she was starting to imagine HUNTER's tongue digging down her throat again. This was looking more and more like her fight with the HUNTER, except that HUNTER had a mace and a spear and this guy had his fists and could fly apparently. Flying wasn't gonna help him.

As beads of sweat trickled from her furrowed brow, Mommo directed her right hand-cannon towards her enemy above, shotting a beam of energy at it, strong enough to blow away these small islands. Whatever it would do against Supernova was unclear, though her was probably gonna avoid it anyways. Out of almost pure panic, she fired a myriad (like, two batches of dozen, so 24) of explosive rockets from her back that flew at Supernova, threatening to lodge themselves into his engines, moving quite quickly and cutting off the escape routes in all directions, while the blast of energy surged straight at him. Two cluster grenades were fired as well at Supernova, clusters falling like hail on Supernova from above. "Stay away- or I'll, I'll destroy you!" Mommo activated activated the cannon on her back and let it slide through the mechanisms, stopping attached to the back of her left hand. She then lowered it towards the water. "Loading explosive cartridge!" A loud clank would be heard. "Fire!" The surface of the water directly in front of Mommo's island practically exploded as the cannonball grenade fired at it exploded almost immediately, as its timer was set, sending a massive pillar of water upwards (high enough to reach Supernova as the height at which he was flying hadn't really been specified and we only know he's dropping towards Mommo, but it ain't an assault anyways, but a curtain for Mommo to hide behind) which spread equally to all sides, blocking her view of Supernova as well as vice-versa. She completely disregarded the unusual heat readings her mech had been picking up from Supernova's newest revealed move. But she had a plan to destroy him for good, even if he survives her onslaught.

Supernova VS Slumbering Giant

"Woah, they're angry, unloading everything at me!" Tai suddenly warped up and behind the furious giant.

(OOC: Mommo lacks the reflexes to counter immediately, so I'll just attack right away.)

"Gotcha!" Tai unleashed a barrage of punches at the giant's back, and the super-heated punches were able to soften and melt quite the amount of armor and send heat over the body (Metal conducts heat quite well, after all). The Fire Shield sent even more heat over their back as well.

If they cannot counter Tai's offensive anymore, he'll bear-hug them right after, preventing them from rotating around.

Ricochet v. LOLI_HUNTER

I just can't help but add in some mood music right now... sorry.

The hands of Ricochet's Mech had both latched onto LOLI_HUNTER's spear when she tried to deflect them, staying on as she went into the defensive position. Inside of his mech, Ricochet smirked when his opponent asked him a question, and responded with a single word.

"This."

He then fired off his laser turret at the bits in an attempt to destroy their weapons systems one by one.

LOLI_HUNTER v.s. Ricochet

Kagarin arched an eyebrow as her opponent started targeting her bits even as he held her weapon. She sent orders to all her bits to scatter and move haphazardly, firing harrying shots at her opponent. She glanced at the weapon, still in her opponent's grip, and yawned.

If you're not going to come to me, perhaps I'll go to you.

While his attention was drawn to the rapidly moving bits, she released the cables anchoring her to the ground while simultaneously pushing herself hard off the ground, taking care to keep her spear aligned with the direction her opponents hands were coming from, sending her hurtling at her opponent. In this time, Ricochet had managed to take out six of her fourteen bits, leaving eight more to fly around her opponent, peppering him with mid-calibre ballistic rounds

Strider vs. The Revenant

Morgan barely had enough time to react to the incoming shockwave, causing her to instinctively shift her movement back toward the island that she had jumped off of a few seconds ago. She barely made the landing, but she made it, nonetheless. She was confused. For an SMO, The Revenant sure did take a bit of time to hang back. What was his game? Did he plan to stay back firing those off from a distance, or did he have something else in mind? Whatever it was, Morgan wasn't sure. But what she was sure of was that her opponent was quite some distance away, and she would be sure to punish that. Morgan switched to her railgun and fired a shot off.

Revenant vs Strider

Solomon took note of the girls shift backwards, something that shouldn't have been possible unless aided by aerial maneuvering or an ability such as his own... and given the readings from earlier, the latter was looking like an unlikely candidate. He even caught the slightest trace of a thruster blaze...

but regardless if the girl had rockets, it changed nothing to him. He was more surprised by the sheer gal of his opponent than anything... though the factor just as soon turned to amusement.

"Asmo, did she really just..."

"Yes, yes, indeed she did. A Railgun. Against us."

"Oh... this is gonna be fun."

The round sped over the water with all the speed that could've been expected of the armament. But it was nothing he hadn't exceeded with his own abilities before. Nor was it even a situation he hadn't been in at least a few times... those bunch of damn bloody fools thinking they can beat him in his own game. He skidded to a halt on the isle closest to himself, hand outstretched as the projectile soared closer and the Tesla Fields responded with barely a single impulse of instinct, the projectile making landfall with all the force of floating feather as his palm halted it dead in it's tracks, the very air itself distorting into a strange mirage of shifting light and electric snaps and pops with the power of his ability as EM fields tempered with years of experience churned to life.

The projectile hovered there just a few inches before the armored exterior, and with another raw impulse of instinct from solomon, did a full 180 turn before firing back off at the the very one who had sent it. The only difference for Sully being the raw, unbridled arcs of electricity cloaking the package as it soared over the field with the ferocity and swiftness of a bolt from the purest blue, a massive peel of harrowing thunder resounding throughout the place with deafening overtones, the waters cascading to thick and furious waves in the wake of a force and acceleration far greater than that of what Strider's Railgun had delivered and the thing quickly taking on a burning, scarlet hue as it sped across the field like a electrified meteor, ready and oh so eager to cause a few extinction level events of it's own... aimed right for the generator he had been eying since the start of the match. He knew not what type of Armor she might have...but chances were the zeal and gusto behind the counter probably bordered on overkill, and he had just revealed another portion of his hand... but that was fine by him. He knew he would've had to sooner or later anyway. His outlined stratagem would still continue regardless.

But no one, absolutely, positively no one, dares afront his pride and joy by using any type of EM or metal based weaponry against him with impunity... especially a fucking railgun system of all things, no matter how meek and timid they might seem at a chance first encounter. Not after so many countless battles of the ability being put to the test, not after so many times it had proven itself his most valuable asset in the arena. The Tesla Fields were nothing to be laughed upon... nothing to be outdone by some imitator. No imposter's weapon made against it had ever prospered, and Sully certainly wasn't about to let that change now. And beat around the bush about that simple message was one thing he could not, would not, do.

"Good luck getting out of the way of that, Chummer..." He snarled beneath his helm, the words resounding only through his own ears as he quelled the oncoming surge he felt in the back of his mind, a stirring rumble like the awakening of great dragon, slumbering for eons and ready to feast upon the blood of men and unleash the fires of hell. Of course Revenant wanted out right now, wanted to be freed from the mental bindings to enjoy the carnage or feed upon the growing outrage it sensed... even after these years, the beast within the man and machine alike still hadn't learned the time and place for itself. Hadn't learned that a Berserker or a Maniac state only has value when used strategically.

But it heeded his warning to wait until unleashed. Backed down... Grudgingly, but backed down nonetheless. But it waited. and it hungered. For all the Revenant knew was hunger... hunger and bloodlust.

Slumbering Giant VS Supernova

Mommo grit her teeth. As much as she was expecting her opponent to do this and had taken appropriate countermeasures, she did not like the idea of them coming too close to her, like HUNTER did. Still, Supernova fell into a trap, a plan forged in chaos of panic and out of sheer desire to get him away, but a plan nonetheless.

And it was gonna work. It pretty much had to work.

Mommo's reflexes weren't up to par with her opponent's and it was true that she wouldn't be able to turn around fast enough to blast them away efficiently, but there was something else she could do. She's pushed her opponent to waste away one of their trump cards and, in the process, also managed to assess their high level of speed and maneouverability. But, no matter how speedy Supernova was, they most likely wouldn't have been able to notice one thing-Mommo's cannon was turned the opposite direction.

Mommo had taken the opportunity created by the chaos and the whole explosion of water she'd created to detach her cannon so she could hold it upside-down under her left arm. Sure, this also meant disconnecting the cannon from its main power-supply (which was the mech itself), but the thing had been designed with this possibility in mind. It could fire a couple of shots before powering down completely. That being said... Mommo didn't really disconnect it properly. She just kind of tore it off. She wouldn't be able to connect it again, but it was fine. Two shots would be way more than enough, especially at close range, and especially with one of her own trump cards taken into account.

"Don't touch me!!!" Mommo shouted, the Slumbering Giant a blazing mess as errors began popping up due to the heat from Supernova's onslaught getting waaaay to close to the power generators. "Firrreeee!!" The cannon fired another explosive round, right into Supernova's upper torso, as Mommo positioned her mech's arm in the direction. The power of the blast at this range would have been able to tear armors as strong as her own. And at such close range, that was exactly what would also happen once the round exploded into Supernova. Mommo's mech would suffer damage as well, enough to push her into using her special ability after this attack.

Supernova VS Slumbering Giant

"Oh...crap!" Tai immediately backed down his fists and shielded his torso with his left hand.

The explosions blasted him across the arena, completely obliterating the mech's left hand. The combined efforts of the Fire Shield's energy resistance and the left hand's sacrificial protection left the main body with medium damage.

Tai fell on an island miles away from the giant. He looked at his left arm. With the hand gone, the flames kept blowing out of the hole at the end of the arm, like a magnificent saber of flames. He got back on his feet. "Here goes nothing." He thought to himself.

"Getting defensive, huh? Think again!" Tai shouted. His shield suddenly radiated blinding whiteness, overriding the Fire Shield. From afar, he looked just like the mighty sun himself. His blowtorch saber was blazing white. The thruster engines vibrated loudly, put to maximum force. The white radiance could melt metal within a second, and the force that comes along with it could blast a nuclear bunker into waste.

"NOVA STRIKE!"

He jetted toward the Slumbering Giant, approaching at five times the speed of sound. His heart raced with excitement, everything about this fight felt so invigorating.

Morgan watched as the projectile accelerated towards her opponent, a small grin on her face as she did so. What happened next took her by surprise. The round stopped a few inches from The Revenant's hand... and just stayed there. The girl then realized that she had just made a big mistake, realizing that the bolt of lightning from before wasn't just electricity. What caused it must've been some sort of tesla field, and that only meant one thing: electromagnetism.

The match just started and Morgan already underestimated her opponent.

"Ah, dammit. System..." She spoke, frustrated with herself for doing the one thing that she didn't want to. "...Activate the EAS."

Morgan witnessed the round pointing back at her. "All of them!"

Command accepted...

EAS stat modifications: Firepower is now 0 from 6. Speed is now 1 from 5.

(Note: armor gained is the sum of firepower and speed divided by two, rounding down.)

Armor gained: 3 from firepower, 2 from speed. Total gain: 5. Armor is now 8 from 3.

Final statistics: Firepower is now 0. Speed is now 1. Armor is now 8.

(OOC: Also note that armor gained this way does not allow for the 6-point armor bonus. I'm not really sure if it can, but I doubt it. I really don't like the idea of it regardless.)

Strider took the hit head on and staggered back from the shot, catching herself at the edge of the island. While she was recovering, Morgan looked at the energy screen that had just popped up and was a bit astonished. If these numbers were correct, then an unshielded hit from that could've crippled her chances of winning, or it could've taken out something vital at the very least.

Morgan sighed as she realized that she had made two mistakes back to back. Now she can't really fight back save for fisticuffs. Having no other choice, she put the railgun away. She hated resorting to these fists for the main portion of combat. Not only did they do almost nothing, she really wasn't much of a "hand-to-hand combat" kinda girl. Granted, her jealousy had driven her to punch a few people in the face, but there wasn't much beyond that. She wasn't completely defenseless range wise, though. Her EAS was made to soak up hits. She just can't shoot with anything for the moment. Morgan put up her fists, not realizing that half of a foot was in the water. If she was pushed any further, then she would probably be knocked off the island to sink in the deep blue.

Silent Requiem vs. Hellfire Knight

"Shit shit shit shit..." Adam couldn't manage much more than a stream of curses. A much more concentrated beam would be able to successfully deal solid damage, and he was quite in a position to dodge. But then an idea hit him, if his opponent was smart, they'd take his sinking into account. So he didn't have to dodge, her just had to stop. He only had a few moment before the beam would cut through the water enough to strike him, so he had to act quickly. He kicked into gear and deployed a few blades. He had just enough to use his body as a giant propeller and begin moving slightly upwards. It wouldn't do much for actual dodging, but it kept him just above HK's plasma beam. But unfortunately, his hull wasn't stable enough to continue the spin for long, and he was set off course, now hurling towards one of the pillars of dirt and rock. He'd tank it just fine, but it would fill the water with dust, obscuring his vision. It was already a pain to spot things through all the steam Hellfire Knight was stirring up.

(OOC: for the record, I was gonna try the stopping thing whether or not Hiroki considered that he was sinking, just needed to know if it would work @Murdoc)

Hellfire Knight vs. Silent Requiem

Hiroki noticed the mic going oddly silent. Not so funny now, am I? Still, she hadn't managed to land a satisfactory hit quite yet. She gritted her teeth - It's not over yet! - and swung her main cannon in an arc, the beam of plasma burning continuously as it moved, kicking up more and more steam. The other mech's erratic movement had moved it into clear view (well, as clear as it could be with half the arena starting to boil) and the blast scythed into its path, Hiroki hoping to take advantage of the unstable maneuvers and score another hit. Patience, gotta be patient. He can't touch me from this far away, and I can hurt him really bad. I don't even have to move.

Silent Requiem vs Hellfire Knight

Hellfire Knight's beam slashed across the edge of Adam's mech, melting off a good bit of armor. But on the bright side, his repairs from that blast would finish much faster than the full-body strike from before. He noted that the beam moved slowly, meaning that it would take time for it to return back across his hull. He smashed into the wall, kicking up dust all around him and stopping his movement. He needed to get moving again as soon as possible, but he would risk erratic movements unless he could restore himself to a spherical form. The hull had smoothed out but it wasn't even. Adam winced slightly as he realized what he had to do, but if he was going to win this he would have to sacrifice. He jettisoned the outer edge of his hull into the rock, severely thinning his armor but restoring his shape. Then he set himself spinning at high speed and when he was going fast enough, he deployed a circle of angled blades, essentially turning his body into a giant propeller. He rocketed forward, aiming for a point where the steam would conceal him.

"Gotta hand it to you, that's some nice shooting." He said, "Just curious though, can you see through all this steam you're kicking up?"

Hellfire Knight vs Silent Requiem

"I don't have to! Worry about yourself!" It was true, the immense amount of steam in the air was making it hard to get a lock on her opponent. However, the targeting software was a bit better at sorting out the noise, and while it was having trouble pinning down Adam's exact location, it did give her a general idea. She spoke another command to her mech: "Set pattern Artificial Sun!" The fierce glow emanating from her main cannon faded, while the rest of her guns flared to life. Her shoulder-mounted cannons fired short, intense bursts at Adam's predicted locations while her wing cannons peppered the areas around where the larger ones focused with smaller blasts. She swung her main gun around in an arc once again, sweeping another focused beam around the area.

Silent Requiem vs. Hellfire Knight

"See, here's the thing." Adam explained, "I kind of don't need to worry about visibility."

Of course what he did need to worry about was getting close enough to land a hit. The bullet spread she was firing off now was more of a net than a proper attack, Hellfire Knight clearly couldn't get a bead on him. With the speed he was moving, there was very little chance of her actually dealing damage. But that simply put them at a standoff. If Adam couldn't find a way to gain the upper hand, the steam would eventually die down and Hellfire Knight would land a proper hit.

"So then, are you and Lowlee a thing already? You seemed pretty defensive of her earlier." He inquired, "'Cause I mean, she seemed pretty open to hanging out with Swagbutt."

Hellfire Knight vs. Silent Requiem

"You know, for a person called Silent, you make a lot of noise!" She squinted through the steam, trying to locate the source of her irritation. The cannons on her armor continued to roar, the targeting systems having more than a little difficulty drawing a bead on the fast-moving orb. Her fingers twitched and she clenched and unclenched the fist not occupied by a cannon, waiting for a chance. He couldn't stay out there forever; eventually he'd have to try and assault her, and then she'd have him. She continued to shuffle about in place, her off hand coming up to brace her main weapon as she looked for the victim to unleash it upon.

Silent Requiem vs. Hellfire Knight

"And for a knight you're honestly not very chivalrous." Adam said jokingly, "For the record, it's the song of death that's silent."

A shot glanced off his armor, momentarily disrupting his course. The steam was dying off faster than it was being generated, and already HK was starting to get a sense for where he was. He had to act fast, but he couldn't get close with the curtain of fire HK had up. There was one possibility, but it was a stupid possibility. Still, he didn't see that he had much choice.

"I'm sorry, little knight, but if I'm going to become a god, I'm going to have to go through you." Was his sincere apology.

He didn't have issue beating her, not at all, but this was not going to be comfortable for either of them. He altered his course straight towards HK, spinning at full power. It would take her a moment to realize what he was doing but that wouldn't be enough; he had to rely on her being surprised at his assault to delay her inevitable retaliation long enough for his plan to succeed

Revenant vs Strider

"Gotcha..." Sully muttered beneath his breath as he watched a green field flare to life around his opponent shortly before the bolt made impact. From the fact that she wasn't a pile of twisted and torn scrap metal littering the sea right now, the thing was a serious buff to her defenses, though there was still something wrong with the analysis... this thing had to be her ability, no way a field generated by any other means would've been able to sponge the damage like he had detected. It was cute though, the whole putting up her fists thing... as if she expected to outmatch him at his own game yet again. But there was something he had noticed as she had slid back as well... a subtle little splash, easy enough to miss if your eyes hadn't been glued to the action

"Should we go in?"

"No...no, Asmo. Normally, yes, but look at her feet..."

"Oh...how unfortunate."

"Let's see how well she swims buddy!" in the same instance of the thought being exchanged, Sully leapt into action, dashing forward across the isles as if closing in for more carnage, feeling Revenant again surge in the back of his mind before giving a silent cry of outrage as the man instead leapt upward, the Tesla Fields again surrounding him as he preformed a single flip just before the apex, arcing down as if he were intent on landing on the woman... before blasting the prepared repulsion field with everything he had, sending a blast of raw, magnetic force diving down towards strider in an attempt to topple her from afar, letting the sudden change in force push him into the opposite direction with another flip, keeping all eyes fixed on the opposing mech as he descended, hurtling back towards the very isle he had returned the rail shot from to begin with...

"Got anything else in that bag of tricks besides the field? You may have been able to soak up that shot, but you probably can't stop raw magnetic force from pushing you around... Ya don stepped to the wrong brotha today, kid..."

Hellfire Knight vs. Silent Requiem

Hiroki looked at her enemy with confusion for an instant as he exploded out of the steam and headed directly toward her. It seemed he meant to intimidate her into making a mistake, but by this? He made himself an easy target for her vastly superior firepower, and he wasn't even trying to suppress her attacks with his own fire. Still, she didn't hesitate to seize the apparent advantage; half her wing guns shut down as she swung her cannon into place and squeezed her fist, sending a ray of incandescent plasma directly at Silent Requiem's center of mass as her shoulder cannons also focused on the now-easy target. Is he giving up, or does he have some kind of insane plan?

Silent Requiem vs. Hellfire Knight

Adam's opponent was unfortunately not as surprised by his charge as he had hoped. He could still execute his plan, he just wouldn't be able to do anything if it failed. Still, this was what his mech was built for, and what better time to risk it than when he was desperate? Shot sheared through his already thin plating, thinning it even more.

"Just a little further..." He prayed to no one in particular.

The massive central cannon trained on his position, it was now or never. A beam of fiery death lanced out, tearing through the space that Adam's mech occupied. But Adam flew above the beam. It was that HK had missed, no, it was that Adam had ejected. He flew through the air at high speed, directly towards HK. He strained and reached his hand forward, a bit of plasma seared into his shoulder. Although Favor-based attacks could bnot harm his body, they still hurt and he winced in pain. He kept reaching, kept reaching... And then his hand soared into HK's mask, phasing directly through both the mech and the pilot as a large metal sphere formed around him and phased into HK's legs and wings. It was a little known fact that when a pilot manifested their mech, they momentarily became incorporeal. If they reached into a space occupied by something else, they could displace that something as well as whatever part of their body was touching it. Adam's mech had been constructed specifically to exploit this oddity. Its spherical shape allowed it to lock down an opponent's mech while Adam fought them directly, and it's speed and armor allowed him to get close enough to perform the attack. The result of this was that Adam could directly attack his opponent by shoving his hand into their head. The pain felt from having another human occupying the same point in space as you was excruciating, but it was excruciating for both beings. So as Favor constantly materialized and dematerialized his hand and HK's brain, Adam couldn't help but scream in agony

(OOC: I have to say this...

Get Replicator'd, bitch!)

Hellfire Knight vs Silent Requiem

Hiroki shrieked in pain as Adam attacked her. Her confusion had spiked as the man ejected from his mech - was he outright suicidal? - and she'd nearly cut off her assault. Instead, however, she thrashed in agony, three of her limbs immobile as they were caught in the cold metal shell surrounding her. She couldn't think clearly; her mind was essentially filled with white noise at the direct assault. She reflexively clawed at her assailant with her remaining free limb, fist instinctively snapping closed around him before she flung it outward and Adam with it, tossing him against the interior of his own mech, in a desperate attempt to make the pain stop.
