gryson Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 how can u get out of the dungeon. or cant you do that helprequest with level 25 pokemon?
Simon Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 You pretty much have to rely on luck and hope you get spawned in a good location. That being said, save before you leave the carpet area so you can reset til you can actually escape the dungeon.
berlyda Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Bait the Kecleons into using Sucker Punch by using a Ghost- or Psychic-type, and then use a status move like Will-o-Wisp or Curse. They'll just keep trying to Sucker Punch you.
Solidmetro Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Duskull with will-o-wisp and curse does a very good job against the kecleons. Look for the ladder and eventually things should go your way, took me a while.
gryson Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) i have only grotle, mothim, mightyena, aipom, voltorb and lunatone with me. highest level is 25 why make a help quest so hard..... it just makes you rage quit the game Edited August 4, 2015 by gryson
Solidmetro Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Then its best cancelling this quest and coming back to it later, or soft resetting until you get a good spawn. Mightyena i can imagine will come in handy if it has intimidate when you come back to doing the quest.
BlueMoonIceCream Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I was lucky enough to spawn next to the ladder
BIGJRA Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 When I did it, I barely had the 50,000$, I think I had around 53000. When I bought the item, my money didn't go down at all, so for now no harm in forking over the cash.
Simon Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 ... Wow. I hope that was a bug then xD If not, then guess that was a life lesson on not to steal.
FlameI7 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 The quest is itself, a joke about Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. I soft-reset until I found a dungeon that worked for me, but it can also be fun to try and escape a hard dungeon.
Cepheus Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 well... I'll be saving the quest for later, when I can relaibly take them down and explore the dungeon... I saw the DEAD Team Xen member in there on one of my attempts, before I got immediatley attacked
XxSilentWinterxX Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Actually, she isn't dead. She's just severely wounded. I ended up soft resetting over 15 times before finding a dungeon that worked in my favor. It's so annoying, but when you escape, it's so worth it.
Korlif Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) I like you, Jan, but you can eat dick for making this Keckleon Cave, lol Sorry, I'm just frustrated as hell. Edited August 8, 2015 by Korlif
Red_Chaos Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 for someone who hasnt played PMD whats the joke then?
Veterans Zumi Posted August 8, 2015 Veterans Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) for someone who hasnt played PMD whats the joke then? In PMD, when you take an item from an in-dungeon kecleon shop (which randomly spawns in dungeon floors sometimes) without paying, a barrage of ridiculously strong kecleon starts chasing and attacking you. If you're not close to the stairways, you're practically boned if you're a low level. Edited August 8, 2015 by Zumi
Fumble Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I wanted to use a Pure Seed and warp to the stairs... >>;
Mr. Akeda Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I was begging for a pokemon with teleport there and then
Korlif Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 I finally got out of there thanks to leveling my Duskull (Now Dusclops) and Monferno (Infernape) from 27 to 48. Now, I don't feel as mad that Jan replaced Froakie with Dusclops as a shadow pokemon.

Can't remember, too bad I can't check back anymore.
Korlif Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Wait a second, but didn't the Kecleon's have Ancient Power...? Can't remember, too bad I can't check back anymore. Yeah, They had Sucker Punch, Ancient Power, Fury Swipes, and Slash. Took a lot of luck, but somehow, when My Duskull got past lvl 38 the Kecleons stopped using Ancient Power against it.
AverageGamer1 Posted August 20, 2015 Posted August 20, 2015 Well, all I actually did to go through the dungeon was to use a repel, and somehow the Kecleons didn't bother me anymore, they just kept evading me instead of following me. I just thought of that while on there because of pure sense that a repel literally "Repels" all Pokemon. So yeah, next time i would be prepared with a lot of repels.
Xiri Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Oh god this was a nightmare - but Prankster Liepard and Deerling's Leech Seed helped me out here.
dead account Posted September 7, 2015 Posted September 7, 2015 (edited) Is there anything in the "thief's dungeon" that makes it worth going through? Because I'm just going to use Teleport to skip it if there's nothing in there. I don't want to deal with the overpowered Kecleons. Edit: Turns out the request requires that you go through the dungeon to complete it. Luckily I ended up in a room with no Kecleons, right next to the stairs. Edited September 7, 2015 by aquawaffle
