Oh hey so this is a thing. Well it should be pretty obvious looking at me. I'm gonna have to go with Fire... or Steel. Creating steel in the forge of the fire is amazing. The two types obviously go hand-in-hand. Just look at Heatran.

Anyway Fire:

Ninetales

Darmanitan

Chandelure

Torkoal

Charizard

Houndoom (preferably mega. If no megas, sub with Magmortar)

Steel:

Bronzong

Aegislash

Magnezone

Bisharp

Aggron

Mawile (Again if megas. If no megas then go Scizor)

Yay fun times with my favorite types :3

I'd definitely have to go with Fairy. Even though they're new, they're really great both offensively and defensively amazing, and they're even adorable to boot!

My team would look something like this (with nicknames like Luna's team has):

-Azumaril (Nickname: Ms. Fortune)

-Klefki (Nickname: Peacock)

-Whimsicott (Nickname: Cerebella)

-Gardevoir (Nickname: Parasoul)

-Clefable (Nickname: Valentine)

-Mega Mawile (Nickname: Filia) (If megas are allowed)

-Togekiss (Nickname: Eliza) (If megas aren't allowed)

...I'm a Skullgirls fan, okay?!

I'd definitely be a water gym leader if I were going to be one - water has always been a type that feels way more versatile than most other types (particularly because they practically all have access to ice moves which are super effective against every type that resists water except for water itself, and there are all kinds of dual typed water pokemon). As for the actual team - I'd need to give it a lot more thought before I'd actually decide on what team I'd be using, because frankly I've spent almost no time ever considering it before.

Normal all the way. Easily my favorite monotype to play with. Double battles for the gym though.

Slaking
Kecleon
Eevee
Snorlax
Porygon-Z
Audino

So many options for trolling with the proper breeding and held items.
