If you ignore the illegal human experimentation/reprogramming/child abuse/cloning/mass destruction/shooting-one's-own-sibling-in-the-eye bits. You forget the corrupt government and unethical practices by said corrupt government and its top officials combined with all of the slowness that comes with such a large bureaucracy...as well as the ancient wars, unstable magical artifacts that can devour worlds, and so forth. There's also Lyrical Nanoha ViVid, but that one's a lot less dark and more cute. @Hiss, btw when you say YuYuYu are you referring to Yuuki Yuuna? Either way, it has dark elements, ergo, I do beleive I can actually sit through the anime without too much griping. I intend for Arya to ultimately get a vaguely star-shaped electrical burn scar from this whole Incident, if that's alright... since admitably, that damage is probably at least semi-permanent without taking into account any Magical Healing/ serious medical attention... So yeah... might as well pretty it up a little if I can; Give it an unusual shape, and blamo! people don't notice the actual tissue damage so much as what the scar as a whole ultimately resembles...
