mkrosar
Ok so I just finished watching Pokemon Heroes the movie(the one with latios and latias) and I started getting kind of emotional. Watching the movie brought back alot of good memories I has as a kid involving pokemon. I'm curious about what mediums of pokemon(I.e specific games, movies or tv) makes you get emotional or nostalgic?
Deleted User
Still the most epic music in the history of pokemon, bar none.
Truly Deceptive
It used to be anything Colosseum or Gen II. Now, it's mostly Gen IV.
krim
The Rise of Darkrai really hit my feels hard. Everybody hated him when he was just trying to protect his home....and then the ending....
Tacos
Nascour's battle theme. This hit me hard in the nostalgia feels. I remember I had these silly rituals that would help me catch a pokemon in this game that my friend and I would do together as that steady snare drum cadence continued on throughout the song. I was like 6 don't hate. I spent more time playing this game than I think I've played any other game. And even when I play the game on a dolphin emulator now, I still find it just as good as it had always been. My favorite pokemon game in existence. Deleted User
A big reason why platinum became my favorite Pokemon game of all time. (That and Cyrus)
Truly Deceptive
FireRed and LeafGreen have also got dem feels... I think the main reason I like remakes more than the original games is that they make what was old pertinent to the main series games again. Guzam
Nostalgia eh? Cut to my first pokemon game, Pokemon Yellow. This game taught me how to friggin read. Amazing I know. Magical things happen at the age of 4, and such magical things were like how I used trial and error and sheer force god damnit to get through the E4 and the champion. My god I must've been a trooper back then, because I have hard times with the gen 1 games nowadays. Everytime I beat Blue in Yellow version, I always smile and remember what it was like to be a 4 year old with no problems what so ever. Oh how times have changed. Damiano
I suppose for me it'd be Cythia. I always found her really cool (alright I admit it! She was my first video game crush!) And the piano before battling her is so... powerful. It's the only song from anything pokemon that I remember/still listen to. Besides team rocket's monologue. mkrosar
Lol ok so story time. The first pokemon game I ever played was pokemon silver. I chose totadile as my starter. I think I was 6 or seven at the time, but I remember that I loved my totadile. I named him Todd and every I went I too my game, and by extension, him with me. I didn't have a lot of friends growing up so Todd was one of my only friends(my substitution for an imaginary friend). When the next gen came out, I planned on making it a tradition in which I would trade Todd to the new pokemon game I was playing, so that I'd always have him with me. Unfortunately, I was only able to trade him up to emerald and I haven't been able to retrieve him from there. I still have the emerald cartridge in my drawer. Every time I feel sad or angry, I pick it up and I hold it cold, remembering all the good times I had with Todd.
Commander
I'd really have to say Gen I's music is so nostalgic. The first time I hear Vermillion Town's theme, I just had my character run around aimlessly so I could keep hearing it. Hearing the gym leader's theme, memories of that Onix kick in so quickly. I blame Yellow Version for that. Probably the greatest nostalgia I have is Colosseum. When they introduced double battle in R/S/E, I wanted to fight in more of them. Colosseum was like a dream come true (especially with the fact Admins were actually a bit of a challenge...at least when I was a kid).
