Halloween Costumes

Recommended Posts

Well it is this time of year where we all dress up and go trick-or-treating. Or if you are my age you dress up, go out partying, and wake up with the feeling of an anvil smashing into your skull. And sometines as someone my age, it is hard to come up with a costume. A friend of mine for example is having a difficult time thinking of a last minute costume to a party happening in a few days.

So in a curious notion, and as a place to help him, what is everone dressing up as?

My fiance and I are dressing as Cosmo and Wanda

Halloween...

Well here in Germany Halloween like in the U.S. has come here only a few years ago... and we have a similar tradition around the same time... so we get the same s*** two times in a row... thanks america!

and boy I hate both of them...
All I want to do is play my games or watch my series... and then the effin door rings... constantly... it's so annoying... and you are "forced by society" to be all nice to those kids... and I'd rather eat all the candy myself...

decoration? As if I would spend money for something that is good for only one day of the year

parties? - no... I'm not party guy... I don't like party atmosphere and the music that is played is mostly garbage in the official events around town.

dressing up? - spending money for something like that? no... IF I would do it.. I would take a 2 hour nap and go as myself... I would be scary enough with my tired grumpyness and messy hair.

OMG

All you have to do is lock the doors, put "I'm not home" signs, keep the lights off, and have your computer with you with zero interaction with people on the night. Thats what I do.

WELL.. That works only IF you live alone...

I can't tell my parents / Roommate to keep the lights out...

Also I hate playing in the dark... and it's not like the Monitor / TV wouldn't give out light which could be seen through windows...

our kids here are smart (in terms of getting free stuff). If they see the slightest light they ring the shit out of the doorbell to annoy the hell out of you until they get their stuff (or even throw stuff at your windows)

Then dress up as a scarecrow or reaper, or get one of those ridiculously scary/ugly masks, sit still next to the candy bowl outside at the front as if you're one of the decorations/props. Then when they go and reach for candy, you scare the shit out of them. If you're really good, they'll drop their bag and run away, and you keep their shit.

I am not celebrating Halloween because, on that very day, I will return from Bologna (where I live to attend university) to my hometown, because I have promised my grandpa that I will spend the next day (the first of november is an important religious festivity for catholics, at least in Italy) with him. So yeah, from Bologna to my hometown it's like 3 hours by train and I have to change trains at one point: when I get home I'll be so tired I'll probably just collapse on the nearest couch and fall asleep immediately...

The only redeeming thing that night has for me is that, when I am at my parents' house in my hometown, there is this little girl (she is like 5) who lives next door who is the cutest thing in the universe. She is so incredibly energetic and funny, I absolutely adore her, I consider her to be a little sister or maybe even a daughter (I am almost 24, I've got the age difference down, her parents are only 6 years older than me...) and I can't help but enjoy the merriment everytime she drops by... So yeah, she will probably dress up and come ringing the bell for candies, and it will be a happy moment, also because my mom always spoils her to no end, so really funny scenes often happen between my mom and this little girl's mom (who already has a hard time keeping her overly energetic daughter in check, without the need for my mom to spoil her even more...).

*looks at the green and red stripped sweater and hat sitting nearby with a smirk*

Guess.

sorry but this is the only thing i can think of when you say that...

I work Halloween night so I can't really do anything. But, I'll probably draw cracks on my face to make it look like fractured porcelain. It's an old fall-back. Painted Doll, anyone?

Get a headband and a tracksuit of any color and you have a budget Naruto OC costume.

Get a tank top, some boxing gloves, and shorts and you can be Little Mac (or Mackinze if you're female)

I'm gonna be dressing up as Jason Vorhees for once this year. Been at my grandfather's house passing out candy since I was fourteen b/c my folks are the kind of people who get trashed on Halloween night and call in sick on Nov. 1.

I've gotten used to it, plus me and my grandfather get a kick out of scaring the crap out of four-year old children.
