I DO have an update... but it's gonna be hard to word out.
Basically, this entire part was slaying hundreds upon thousands of pokemon trainers throughout the next 3 routes and the village bridge (and it was boring as hell... maybe even more so than Chargestone Cave)... but there were some interesting things during this.
First route was above Undella, and I just cruised through ace trainers, black belts and the like. Got TM29, Psychic, which is some swag (Horizon stahp), and then at the end of this route, there was Cobalion! Yeah, in this game, the horses' old spots are now destroyed or locked out, and now they're just cruisin on the roads. However, I'm not going to catch them until post game, because then they're higher level, which is better for me... even if it's really tempting for me to get Cobalion right now. The thing is badass.
So I get to Lacunosa Town, and I'm told about Kyurem in the Giant Chasm and how he used to love eating people... but the place is now closed off, and I'll have to ask Drayden to know anything more. Oh and by the way, this is a giant plothole if you've captured Kyurem in the previous game. We'll just have to assume that these "2 years later" is in a parallel universe. That, or we can ask Stein's Gate about it.
ANYWAYS, bad times cuz Team Plasma shows up... and oh god it's Zinzolin... who has Ice types... despite the fact that he hated the cold in the previous game... ok, this is DEFINETELY a parallel universe. Anyway, my rival tags up with me and Voxie's ready to kick ass.
Get.
The.
Fuck.
Out.
Voxie just 1hkoes them all with Rock Slide. Pathetic >
ANYWAYS, next route is also mindless bashing of several trainers... more black belts, and random duos. Oh, and some nifty random items too, although I thought they were Foonguses at first...
Then I get a rest stop at the Village Bridge. I beat the streak of some random gentleman and proceed to crush every other trainer in this area, and then move on to the final route, which is basically a passway where you fight 2 trainers, because you now need Waterfall to pass down to the lower half of this route... oh, and where did the Poketransfer lab go? Virizion also pops up, but I ignore it for now.
FINALLY arriving at Opeculid City (although it looks far more cooler in Black 2 >_>), Iris talks about Drayden and also advises me to go to route 9. So I do that, and by the way, the Tubeline Bridge is also closed, so Icirrus City is now isolated. Yippee.
I'm gonna clear route 9, do a decent amount of Audino Training (Lucky Egg ftw) and then beat up Drayden next episode.
Current Stats:
SS learnt Flamethrower, and everyone is now lv41-45. Too diverse, I know. I'll be fixing it all up for Drayden. And somebody tell me where I can get a damn Electrizer for Edge.
Anyway, since this was a rather short update, I'm gonna share a brief opinion of this game so far. The story is the best I've seen in any pokemon game, and I'm even tempted to say it outclasses XD in that regard, although it still has it's rather simple explanations for plotholes because y'know, the audience for this game is kids. The addition of moving in pokemon is also awesome, along with the expanded Unova Region and better gyms (though gym leaders are debatable...). However, I feel it has too many segments where you face tons of trainers with little to no storyline input. It breaks up too much of the flow, and BW2 does this more than the other games. Needless to say, it's been great so far.
