That doesn't necessarily mean that Crescent is the one in danger. Perhaps due to her track record of caring about the MC this means that we are the ones in danger but she isn't in a position to be able to help us? -

Well we're kinda immortal as long as we don't stray to far from our cosmic life support. -
I think it's like the ghosts on the field gather together to block the attack for the ghost you're fighting so some of the damage is blocked.
