    FINALLY oh my god that was ridiculous.
    I had to keep rearranging my team and basically praying to god that my Aggron went first and the moves missed my Crobat because this run was just pure luck on what moves were and weren't used.

    When I was able to get rid of the Whimsicott before it used Tailwind it wasn't too much of an issue, aside from the fact that most of the runs all of my pokemon were knocked out by that point so it didn't matter. I got really lucky and avoided a lot of damage and landed a lot of critical hits on my winning run. Seems like every time I make a comment to someone- doesn't matter who- about how I'm stuck and losing my mind, I win it the next try. What's up with that?

      Ah, good ol' RNGeesus. It's a beautiful day when he deciedes to favor your side, no? Adrienn always seems to give people trouble one way or another. My first run had the opposite problem that yours did, however- the whimsicott refused to use Tailwind against me.

      I had been spoiled about the fact that xe has a Fairy Tale Field beneath the Misty Terrain, and figured that since I had a magnezone, I could easily capitalize on the Fairies' reduced Sp. Defense and my own power boost to Flash Cannon. And since magnezone is far from the fastest thing around, the enemy getting the Tailwind boost in the process would mean literally nothing once xyr granbull was removed from the equation. Xe seemed to have a similar line of thinking, however, and thus kept the puffy goat on Dazzling Gleam duty. 

       

      After a few attempts of trying to get them to blow the mist away, I came to the conclusion that if xe weren't gonna do it, I should just do the deed myself. So I trained up a shiny zubat I happened to catch while in Terra's computer to a glorious black and purple crobat, taught it Tailwind, and went to town. And you know what? Not only did the ploy work beautifully, but the crobat managed to survive an entire round despite being more than a little underleveled for the fight to boot! Can't complain about a little extra bang for my buck, right?
