"Protagonist can talk" for Pokemon Reborn. Here's the dialogue in Route 1 where some protagonists are riding with Tauros while both Vero and Lucia are clearing the obstacles in order to gain the access to many parts (including Celestinine Mountain and Electric House Mouse) in Adventurine Woods :

Aevia : What are you talking about?!

Nim : After all, both of you are friends of the trainer who beat Venam!

Aevia : You mean Aevis?!

Nim : It looks like Pokemon battle made me change my mind! Now, I'm really taking an interest to you!

Axel : MOI?! 

Nim : Yeah! Listen.

Aevia : I understand for what you mean. It's just a question?! Nothing special!

Nim : But you gotta keep stayin' weird and zany or else this world just gets so boring!

Aevia : About what you said now sounds suspiscious!

Axel : I don't mind!

Nim : There's so much out there. So much adventure. I want you to continue with your head held high.

But yeah... Sorry for dragging you here. I just wanted a chance to talk!

Axel : Me, too!

Aevia : AXEL?!

Nim : Don't mind him! That doesn't bother me a lot!

Blaziken is banned from OU Metagame in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. That was way too early. Back to the same old Blaziken as in Gen5 to Gen7, even if its other moves get replaced. But that wasn't surprising since there's no Gen5 to Gen8 Pokemons in this game.

Alain : Aevis and Aevia have both the same goal of becoming the champion, but the difference is that Aevis does to protect this region from the evildoers and to end people's suffering, giving their moral and hope for the future.

While Aevia wants to explore many regions to find the champions from the past. She wanted to challenge them.

Ariana's goal never changes. About becoming an idol just like Risa Raider.

Then Axel wants to seek friendship with girls since he was bad at being respected by them. Kinda creepy. But Axel didn't know about Nim's feelings for him before that happened.

Well, I can't blame him for that.

Aero : Then what is your goal?

Alain : To help you.

Aero : Huh?!

Alain : Maybe I don't remember who was I. But my past self shared the same moments with yours.
