  1. Do you have a White Herb? It recovers the Def and SpDef you lost after Shell Smash. Another good pick would be Weakness Policy.
  2. Yes, it has a rather low SpDef base value, but you won't go for that anyway. My Cloyster is a Jolly natured full Attack and Speed invested heavy hitter. I usually tend to use it to force my opponent to switch his Pokémon after he beat my previous one. If he swaps his Mon, i get my free Shell Smash, if he doesn't, i will survive most attacks thanks to Focus Sash. Only multi hit attacks may be dangerous. Either way, after one Shell Smash my Cloyster can easily outspeed almost anything that doesn't use a priority move. And with Icicle Spear, Twinneedle and Rock Blast at my disposal, if nothing hits super effective, at least one of them will provide neutral damage, with guaranteed 5 hits due to its Skill Link ability
  3. While i am not quite sure about calling them the "best" ice Pokémon, i'd still go with Mamoswine and Cloyster. Cloyster should be obviously going for its Skill Link ability, while learning the moves Icicle Spear, Twinneedle, Rock Blast and Shell Smash. As for items i'd go with Fokus Sash or White Herb. This way you have a Pokémon with a nice coverage and some really hart hitting attacks that won a lot of matches for me. Mamoswine has a decent move pool to pick from, but some obvious picks would be Earthquake and Icicle Crash. It can use moves like Knock Off, Stone Edge, Iron Head and Superpower. Or you pick something like Stealth Rock or Toxic for hazards. With its Thick Fat ability you can also reduce fire damage. Life Orb may be a decent item to pick. Rocky Helmet and Assault West are good alternative items, but Assault West makes the use of Stealth Rock or Toxic impossible. Both Pokémon are heavy hitters on the physical attack side, and i used both of them on a regular basis in the past.
  4. Still looks nice even if not at 100% speed. But there are still a lot more moves that need their own animations. Keep up the good work!
  5. Only that my girlfriend is haunting me, or rather not really me but all of my sweets and anything that counts as snacks^^ How is she doing that without ever gaining any weight?
  6. Why does that sound so familiar? Why does it remind me of that cute little cookie monster sitting on my couch right now, eating up all the ice cream i just bought today.....
  7. Well, it looks like the AI has calmed down.....at least a little. Told you you need to feet your AI properly. It's just like with those Tamagotchi things back then^^ Feed it, play with it, clean its poop, raise it into a strong creature......and then realize that your little brother decided to play with it and killed it while you were in school.....
  8. About Pokémon being cut out from Sword/Shield.....the reasons Nintendo gave us for why they are doing it are just complete and utter bs. You can't tell me that the company that owns one of THE most successful franchises in the history of gaming is not capable to handle things like models, textures and animations.... We know for a fact how large the file size of the models, textures and animations for the 3DS games and the Let`s Go Pikachu/Eevee games are, since there are people who extracted those files from the game catridges. We also know for a fact how much memory space there is on these catridges. And they are not even close to running out of space. So why are Nintendo and Game Freak lying to us? Because they are lazy. The models are still up to date even for a modern high resolution game. There may be some room for improvement on the textures, but that should not be a big deal for the company that owns effin POKÉMON! Animations? Rly? Don't get me started on that. The animations they have are fine. You don't need to invent the wheel again in every new game. They would only need new animations for the actual new stuff. If they can't get these things done until the release date they already announced, they should just delay the relase a few months. Nobody would get mad if they delay the release so they can deliver the quality that people are expecting. But hey, if you don't want to believe me, feel free to take it from someone who is an actual 3D animator: And whats that about balance? WHAT balance? Single player balance? You can brain-afk your way through all of the game until you are champ. Competetive balance? Isn't that what VGC was for? To balance fights by establishing rules that celarly state which Pokémon, items and moves are forbidden? Most competetive players are using smogon univerity rules anyway. So why not start from there by implementing similar rules into the game for competetive fights right away? You can always go "Everything goes" in non-competetive fights. (although some of those smogon rules are just a joke as well....evasion clause....pffffff.....best joke ever! It's so easy to counter evasion boosting Pokémon...) Sorry for me ranting like a kid that didn't get its candy, but sometimes you gotta say whats on your mind.
  9. Fools! One does not simply tame the AI! For the AI is but the Lord himself! Arceus Incarnate! You may put Nebby into the bag, but no cage will contain the AI! Praise the Lord. Worship the Lord. Bequeath thy soul unto the Lord, that he might cleanse thee of thy impurity. "All shall be white before the eyes of the Lord Arceus." -- Arceus 16-5
  10. Looks like someone forgot to lock the cage.... Your mAIgicarp has just evolved into a gyAIrados, so some sudden outburst of dragon rAIge is to be expected XD..... Also you may consider feeding your AI properly....Budew are not rich on nutrients and don't make for a healthy diet. Try feeding it some jelly filled donuts! Jelly filled donuts are the best! Nothing beats jelly filled donuts!
  11. *puts on a certain wig and starts talking in a horrible accent* No, no, no! That's all fake news! There is no global warming! Sometimes it's cold, sometimes it's warm...That's called weather! Sorry, i could not resist XD
  12. "The AI has gotten back in its cage where it belongs." How did you do that? A trail of cookies right into the trap?
  13. Since i do not own a Nintendo Switch and i have no plans to get one i am pretty much sure i won't be playing Pokémon Sword/Shield^^ And about that whole excuse for why they are not implementing the Pokémon that won't be in the Galar Dex....it's Nintendo's / Game Freak's own fault for creating so many Pokémon in the first place. I feel absolutely no pity at all here if they are saying they would have to do so much more work on animations, balance and other stuff if they were to implement all Gen 1-7 Mons. There will be people accepting this, there will be those who won't....i do not care, since i am done with the official games anyway.... I did play the official Gen 7 games and i was disappointed. Gen 6 was great in my opinion. And then there is Pokémon Reborn^^ In my opinion Reborn does so many things right that you seriously have to ask yourself how a small team of fan game developers can make a better game than a huge company that develops games for a living....so yeah....after all i know about Gen 8 so far i am even more excited for Reborn EP 19!
  14. Hahahaha.....that bug score.....hey Ame, aren't you going a bit overboard there? But other than that... @Commander If you say it's easy to create a Pokémon fan game, wouldn't you need an up to date version of Pokémon Essentials to do that? Correct me if i'm wrong, but Pokémon Essentials is no longer available to download thx to a certain company copyright striking it. So how would you go and do that? I'm asking because i am honestly interested to know.
  15. True, it may be somewhat sad if it's over, but hey, it's also right the way you said: It's a monumental achievement for a fangame to reach this final stage. So many games that had potential and yet never got finished..... I am really looking forward to this, even if it may take a while.
  16. Ok, back to Topic. Will there be a more reliable way to obtain all 3 Choice Items (Band, Glass, Scarf)? That would be great.
  17. Ok, you got me there. Never played Splatoon myself though. I do not intend to be rude by any means, i'm just judging by my own experience from playing all kinds of online games. Who knows, maybe it will work out. I would really love to see that. But i need to see it actually happen to believe it.
  18. Abot Gen 8.... Seeing the feature called "Max Raid Battle" gave me a headache.... Only 1 player can dynamax his Pokémon, and you have to talk to each other to coordinate your moves..... Communicating? With random players? Working as a team? Best joke 2019 so far! Yeah, the developers of Pokémon Sword/Shield have NEVER played any kind of online game before....
  19. Hmmm....i don't know what's stronger..... My desire to finish the story..... Or my urge to collect every Pokémon, every TM, every Mega Stone and Z-Crystal not available as of EP18, to finally recreate my most powerful Mons i had in Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon. I tried listening to my inner voice to find that answer...... but my inner voice just said "I'm hungry! Get moving and make food you moron!"
  20. If you like the game so far you might be interested in Pokémon Reborns fully functional online battle and trade system! Of course there is no GTS, which in my opinion is good, because GTS is the worst that ever happened to Pokémon. "Hey, i have a Budew! I want a Darkrai for it! Trade pls!"
  21. "Master, i have sad news. The hype is gone...." WHAT? Quick, Alfred! To the HYPE MOBILE!!!! *nananananananananananananananana* HYPEMAAAAAAAN!!!
  22. He sure works fast XD Have you been Sonic in your past life?
  23. You lost me at Harry Potter. Never read it, never saw the movies.....never had any interest in it.... But yeah, i think i get your point. But to be honest we are talking about a world here that is supposed to be a franchise aimed at children. And most children would not think about things being inconsistent or not, as long as it does its job entertaining them.
  24. I found it, thx. Still, the prison bottle being with the mega stones is kind of confusing. It should be with the other key items. So you would be ok with moving DNA Splicers, Gracidea and Reveal Glass to the NPC that sells N-Solarizer and that stuff.
  25. To be honest, you don't need to be that great of a cherry picker to see that some Pokédex entries are questionable. I do agree on the fact that it is perfectly plausible in a fictional world like that of Pokémon to have a creature like Magcargo with a body temperature of 10.000 °C, or 18.000 °F if you will, to exist in said fictional world. However, unless that Pokémon is canonicly covered by a powerful force field at all times, it should affect whatever it directly touches in any way. The ground should be burned/melted wherever it crawled, and people or Pokémon touching it should suffer major burn injuries. Then again....we do have Ash, who simply lifts a Cosmoem like it was an apple. This Pokémon is supposed to weight a ton. A literal ton. So much for fictional world logic.... It makes no sense arguing about whether things are logical or not in the world of Pokémon. Most fully evolved Pokémon are in theory powerful enough to wipe out entire cities, and yet Pokémon-Trainers casually use them in battle. That simple fact alone is enough to make it futile to have any discussion about logic here. It doesn't need the power of a legendary Pokémon to end the world. Just take a random child who can't control his Charizard, or some idiot angering his Gyarados and we could have ourselves a catastrophe.
