FEAR doesn't work like that. The majority of FEAR users require being damaged with an attacking move and dropped to 1 hp(holding on with sash or sturdy)so they can Endeavor the opponent down to 1 hp in return, then use priority to take it out. Toxic or even normal poison alone and not attacking destroys the majority of fear mons. Priority like extreme speed also ruins them as well. The only fear mons really capable of doing anything without being attacked are Nosepass and Sawk, who basically Toxic, live with sturdy, berry juice up to full to renew sturdy and spam pain split after that, and Taunt would destroy those. These would probably be the only usable F.E.A.R. mons if Pulse Arceus carries status and has the AI to understand to use it on extremely low leveled mons. It doesn't really matter anyways, there's so many gimmicks out there to begin such as destiny bond or perish song.

Until you attempt to go to Agate city you'll always be able to return to Reborn city, so don't worry too much.

That or status, but it might not be necessary if it's the stuck at the end of a gauntlet that's challenging enough to force people to bring competent teams(and not waste a slot on their team on a F.E.A.R.)

Pokemon Reborn video Walkthrough [100% Complete for E18]
Vinnie replied to Vinnie's topic in Reborn City
Added a part 2. I'm going to try to put a few more parts out quickly because the early game really isn't the part where most people are having trouble. So while this is 40 minutes long, it basically covers everything from the first raiding of Team Meteor's first base to defeating the first Pulse. -
Pokemon Reborn video Walkthrough [100% Complete for E18]
Vinnie replied to Vinnie's topic in Reborn City
Yeah, I meant to do a team update at some point. My mistake for leaving it out. I intended to go over any moves learned, as well as the evolution, and overall just state which pokemon I have the intention of using, but I'll be sure to make party updates as things move along next time. -
I was really on the edge about whether or not I wanted to do this. It sounds like a pretty fun project though. I'm a bit flustered and my allergies are murdering me at the moment but I'm hoping that as I work through the game it gets better. The goal is to have everything in one spot, so optimal pathing with the best team choices, puzzle solutions as well event pokemon and item locations shown. When it comes to puzzles I'll probably be linking the original videos with the solutions since that seems fair. Feedback and suggestions are very welcome.

Choice scarf is available actually, although the legitimacy is questionable(have to be able to use thief/covet->fling->recycle to steal trainer items). Anyways, who knows how strong it'll be. At this point in the game, there's so many options avaiable and it really makes it a challenge to amp up the difficulty without forcing specific sets, items and pokemon to be used.

tynamo not appearing even when i checked the tv
Vinnie replied to timmy60y's question in On the Hunt
There is a difference between raining and storming. You require a storm(which has lightning). -
I've thought about setting up a full video guide but I wasn't really sure if the interest is there. My main reasons for doing it are the fact that I believe I've found probably the best path through the game and just the simple fact that a lot of a lot of guides and information is really spread out. It'd take a while to really get into something like this though.

Would this be something people are actually really interested in?

Both Greninja and Blaziken are fragile, and in a double battle both could easily get tag teamed. Greninja is fine since it has the speed to work with it being glass cannon, but Blaziken is difficult, since there's not a lot of chance that you can get your speed boost up. That Escavalier in your pc looks really promising though seeing as there's only 2 fire type moves and both are on Fern's team(his Rhyperior's Fire Punch and his Roserade's HP). I'd replace your Blaziken with the Escavalier and see how that goes. Also I wouldn't bother with the toxic spikes like someone earlier suggested. Four pokemon between Fern and Blake are immune to them(and Fern's Roserade will likely absorb the spikes before his Decidueye even comes out, so that's 7 pokemon total that won't be affected unless they switch earlier), and that's not including the fact that the two pokemon that are already out on the field won't be affected. Besides that your Roserade likely won't be able to setup multiple layers. If you want help doing some planning on your own, you can find both Fern and Blake's respective teams on the wiki, along with their move sets, and held items. The in question for Fern is listed under the sixth and final battle on the page. https://pokemon-reborn.fandom.com/wiki/Fern https://pokemon-reborn.fandom.com/wiki/Blake

Not very far in- I was looking for something new after finishing the last patch reborn had and finally figuring out the best pathing for it. While the challenge was part of the reason I loved Pokemon Reborn so much, another fact was- Also just wanted to say that the game's graphics are beautiful.

I'm pretty psyched for it. I love the steam punk feel of it.

They did recieve the poipole from the dex quest, they just evolved it. A living dex isn't just a complete pokedex with all the entries, but a complete set of all existing pokemon. In order to have a full living dex you need to have each stage of every evolution line. OT: good luck, hope someone helps you out.

So yeah, Infernapes the king. Spoilered because this does discuss what's available in-game and such.
-
Yeah, I would too, but I don't recall having any issues with it yet. Regardless of that, I would also like to think that it's technically your responsibility to plan for the potential overlevel by holding back from the level cap at least by one level.
-
I haven't tried wideguard, but I'm surprised the AI won't predict it. I don't know about how well it'd be for Adrienn since I don't recall him using his spread moves that much, but Charlotte basically spams heat wave non-stop regardless of what you're trying to do so you'd destroy her with that. Overleveling isn't really an issue. Actually, it's an advantage if you do it in battle. From what I've learned, if you overlevel during back to back battles, or just in general during a battle, your pokemon will not disobey you(not terribly certain about b2b battles). Basically if you're in a position where the game won't allow you to common candy your mons down to the level cap because you're in battle or in a cutscene that's leading to more battles then you don't need to worry.

But really I'm just here to say that Episode 18 was amazing and really well done. I probably would've finished it months ago but I decided that when it was released that I'd start my game from scratch for a variety of reasons from trying to figure out the easiest pathing through the game to wanting to see any early game changes that might've been made. Overall really great job, thanks for the wonderful content.
-
Yeah, and it's around the point you're at.
-
Okay, thanks and I did know that ^^ Also forgot to ask but is there any decent way of getting good iv'd pokemon or a good iv'd ditto to work with?
-
It's getting really old having my high speed tier pokemon on my team lose out to pokemon that have 10-15 lower base speed, so I feel that it might be time to breed, so I can have mons with proper natures and ivs. I'm just a little fearful at how bad breeding might be in the game. I know the creator loves to make everything as difficult and tedious as possible, and the thought of dealing with something like gen 4 breeding mechanics or worse makes me want to throw myself off a cliff. I also have no idea where to grab a destiny knot and am currently questioning if it's in the game, although I should have an everstone at least.

Way too many setup moves imo. I'd take dd off Tyrantrum and give it rock polish. Naganadel is fine, competitively I want to say fire blast over flame thrower, but the choice is yours. I'd go complete choice band with Dragonite but if you really want to run dd then I'd at least remove wing attack and give it thunder punch. For Flygon I'd go full defensive with stealth rocks and add twister(sounds stupid but this is reborn, and twister removes a lot of fields). Can't really make any minor changes to Goodra honestly, it either stays the same or I'd dump a completely new set on it. Zard X is fine, if you want to run crunch over eq, then it is what it is. I'd be a bit tempted to run belly drum honestly(it's a full dragon team, people know it's X and therefore weak to eq, so a potential setup opportunity is to just not mega and belly drum).

What do you think the best team for Reborn would be?
Vinnie replied to Vinnie's topic in Reborn City
It's fine, thanks for all the advice. I know I probably could have worded it better earlier.
