  1. "A fight? You are really going to need me, so I'll come along." Alyssa stands up and heads to the armory. "These bows seem like they are going to be useful. But simply drab." Alyssa uses Artistic Frenzy to make a rushed crafting check on one of the copper bows. The plain coppery bow starts to change. New copper parts, almost looking like vines, protrude from the main frame, wrapping around the base frame and fading from a copper color to a dark brown with what looks like a wooden texture. Metal leaves sprout from the ends of the vines at both ends. "Perfection. Anyone care for a beautiful, yet useful piece of art?" Alyssa will partake in the fray, after some crafting.
  2. Alyssa spends the walk to town cooling off. The nerve of that thing to just run into her like that. And it hurt like hell too. She looks obviously disgruntled as she walks in silence. By the time they arrive at the town, she is in a significantly better mood. As conversation stirrs in the tavern, she speaks up again. "Yes, this place is certainly not going to do. I will help fix this little village of yours and it will be absolutely magnificent. Do you have any paint or an experienced painter or craftsman here?"
  3. "That is so rude! Do NOT run into me like that you filthy, shit-swilling, poor excuse for a decent being, meat bag! Alyssa pushes the zombie off of her in disgust and brandishes her paintbrush at him. "YOU GOT DIRT ON MY CARDIGAN AND YOU SHALL PAY!" Her paintbrush flicks in the air, making lines that are almost invisible, that form the shape of another zombie, older and female with bushy gray hair, poised as if she were about to scold a child. A very quiet shout is heard in front of Alyssa, from the image. "Oh, No. No son of mine is going to be acting like that." Alyssa paints the zombie's worst fear using Artist's Ultimate Weapon. If the zombie who attacked her is redead, she targets the least damaged zombie. ((Alyssa's Essence is 11 at the moment))
  4. Alyssa takes one look at the fleshy, mold-ridden creatures coming out of the woods and instinctively takes a step back. "Oh, dear Goddess. I certainly hope they are not friendly otherwise I would be busy for months. Their clothing is so drab. The coloration could not even be used to clothe a donkey's ass. Truly worthless." Alyssa uses Art Critic to critique the disappointing garb of the first pincushion zombie, giving it halved stats for 1 round.
  5. "I am just making sure that we avoid assuming anything, but I see your point." Alyssa flicks through colors on her paintbrush until landing on the brightest and most obnoxious red. When Lucille starts drawing the circle, Alyssa makes sure to stand a few feet away, just in case.
  6. Alyssa snaps her attention to the girl with the metal bird. "That could be a problem. Or it could be a solution. If they are not trying to mask their entrance, maybe they are just curious as to who we are. Natives, maybe. They might be able to give us a heads up on what those ships were or where we are." Although perfectly able to fend for herself, Alyssa would much prefer to not fight the locals if they are peaceful. Though something that flies without wings sounds odd.
  7. "Well, I could help you with that hoodie of yours, Kusuke, maybe make you a suit, casual just will not do for someone like you. " As Alyssa looks Kusuke up and down, she sees a much shorter being next to Arminus. "Oh, hello. I don't believe I have seen you around. Arminus, is it with you?"
  8. "Getting caught with your pants literally down would not do us much good either. However, I can spruce up that drone of yours really quickly, if you don't mind. Could be quite the gentleman robot." Anyone could plainly see ideas swirling around in her head as she paces around the golem. She taps the paintbrush in her hand a few times and the paint on the end of it seems to change colors with each deliberate nudge. "May I?"
  9. "Ah, interesting little thing you have here, and sassy too. I like it, and a paint job or an outfit is not out of the question here. Matching outfits are too cheesy though, maybe similar design schemes or color patterns between the two of you, I assume you are a pair, sorry I do believe I am rambling again. I can get you something to bring out those fierce eyes of yours. What is with you people and vibrant eye colors? Is it a trend or a requirement for saving the multiverse?" She smirks a little at her own joke and looks over to Arminus. "Just say the word and a make-over is in your future."
  10. "Well, hoodies are not what you need to be wearing in this kind of place. Nerd chic? Absolutely, but this is not the time nor place for that 'mid 1990's genius' vibe you have going on. The color scheme can stay, similar to mine, but I need to change it anyway soon. Maybe a suit, no something more casual, but not too casual, or something more epic, adventuring garb, keep with the light blues and white, maybe add an occasional splash of black with that, in this climate probably cotton, nothing synthetic except maybe around the edges, " She starts to twirl a paintbrush in her hand and ramble about color schemes and the advantages and disadvantages of silk and whether or not brown should have any part in this new outfit. She stops after a few seconds and looks up at the newcomer again. "I do not believe I caught your name. Alyssa in case I failed to say so before."
  11. "This place is beautiful, quite lively. Though the scenery is not the only thing around worth looking at." Alyssa looks at the two hoodie wearing teenagers and extends her hand to each of them. "Pleasure to meet you. I do not believe we have gotten the chance to formally meet. I am Alyssa and the both of you need my help with some design choices."
  12. Alyssa looks around, very confused as other people leave the bus. Once it seems like no one else is going to be leaving, she asks the remaining few, "Does this sort of thing happen often?" A rhetorical question, but she walks towards the front of the bus and takes a look outside, seeing the vast ocean, presumably teeming with life. The only people left on the bus seem to be the three that were arguing, Jun, and another that she didn't know. Whatever was about to happen certainly was not going to be pleasant.
  13. Alyssa spent most of the time trying to ignore the squabbling strangers. Wishing for a window to stare out of, she instead starts looking around at the interior of the bus. Ragged, a bit anacronistic, and certainly odd. An abstract piece of art if she ever saw one. Alyssa goes to the inventory in search of a suitable canvas. Not noticing the label on the box, she finds a few fairly nice looking cursed items. Upon seeing the cloak in it, she remembers that she needs to give Jun back her cloak at some point, and takes the cloak and tries it on. The cloak feels nice, but will need a new paint job at some point. She finally spots a quality canvas at the back of the pile. As she makes her hasty way towards it, however, she trips over the box of cursed items and makes a noise not unlike that of a disgruntled cartoon dog. Without a shred of gracefullness, she stands again, grabs the intended target and carefully walks back to a seat. Paintbrush in hand, artfully done strokes fill the canvas with solid colors, acrylic to the trained eye. Slowly, a picture starts to form of a beautiful woman, a man dressed like an oompa loompa, and a teenager arguing in a school bus with darkened windows. The scene takes on full form, including everyone aboard, even herself painting, only barely visable in the corner. Each color is in sharp contrast with the next, creating an uneasy vibe in the piece. A while passes and the scene is done. She finds somewhere relatively safe to put it, and gives Jun her cloak back while she's at it.
  14. "Even if you can see doesn't mean you can see well, Doc. If we hurry we mght be able to help Soma." Alyssa speaks over the noise, still hoping to get everyone out alive. She, along with everyone else, clears out of the control room towards the bus.
  15. A ragged cough escapes from Alyssa as she stands up and looks at Jun. "Yes, I'm alive for now, even if I'd rather not be." Alyssa looks at the situation and for a brief moment, and considers being shocked. Instead, having been startled by almost everything that has happened today, she finally decides to grow a pair and get to work fixing the situation. Her agent always said that the only thing keeping her from ruling the world was a bit of gumption. She walks over to where the intercom was, hoping that it still worked, and tries to get a message to the other room. "Frigus, if you are the icy Popsicle that I think you are, can you try to get the fire a little more controlled and get out?" Hoping that her message got through she looks at the other people in the room with her. Alyssa walks over to where Harry is and grabs his hand. "Doc, you look like a blind lady in the paint isle. Let me give you a hand." Having overheard Sakaki, she figures that the people in the facility won't be much help. Coughing and grasping at straws of a plan, she addressed the ragtag group. "Just another Monday, right? First of all, let's get out of this hellish version of a sauna. And also, do either of you know how to fly a Helicopter or that weird bus?"
  16. Alyssa stares in shock for a moment at what looks like a fiery blob of chaos frozen in time. "Th- Is that Soma? One of the group members? Dear gods." Alyssa's mind races for some way to help. "I can help create some form of containment, but I cannot make it magical or mechanical unless someone can assemble the parts." She thinks for a moment more and suddenly, she grabs her paintbrush and walks to a wall. Two long rectangularish objects begin to form, each slightly tattered looking. Too tattered looking. The lines aren't even straight anymore. Despite this, she forges on, trying to correct her mistakes, and adds color to the pair. One has what probably used to be a pattern of white and blues while the other looks like multiple mismatched polygons of dark green. She tries to look hopeful as she reaches into the wall. Achingly slowly pieces of fabric that were supposed to be scarves are pulled out and thrown on the ground in frustration. "Why did you pick NOW to be an imbecile?" Alyssa looks up, trying to find another way for her to help and her eyes land on Jun. "Darling, I know I just made you that cloak, but I'm going to need to borrow it. Someone else needs it more than you do."
  17. Alyssa shakes Jun's hand off and looks at her with mild distaste. "I can't believe you would abandon your teammates so easily. You may have only know them for a few days, but they are still good people that might need our help! And I, for one, am not a coward." Alyssa stands and walks out of the room. Then she steps back in, calmer and slightly embarrassed. "Um. What floor is the testing room on?"
  18. (Previously in the oblivious office room) "That is quite beautiful. It'll look perfect on the back of your cloak. And this group has only been together for a few days? I was under the impression that you knew each other quite well considering the efficiency at which you work together. That certainly puts things in a different perspective." As Alyssa speaks, she grabs her paintbrush and starts to paint on the closest wall. The paintbrush switches through various shades of red until she apparently finds the ones she likes and an image on the wall begins to form into that of a mostly crimson cloak. The red color is not uniform, instead it looks like some places blended completely different shades of red together in no particular pattern, almost to the effect of having patches on the cloak, yet it is all one piece of cloth. The hood and the cloak are divided by a black trim with an easily missed pattern of olive branches pressed into it. The cloak's bottom is not trim and neatly cut, but looks slightly tattered as if it had been damaged and haphazardly repaired, with what look like burn marks strewn about. A darker shade of red surrounds the insignia on the back, that of three crescent planets surrounding a distant star all within a white triangle with the tips missing. (This cloak gives a +1 bonus to stealth while in season. Theme: Apocalyptic) Alyssa seems to reach into the wall once the item is complete and from a two dimensional surface she pulls the cloak out, shakes it out, and presents it to Jun. "There you go, darling. Perfect for the apocalyptic ambassador."
  19. "Incredibly fatal? Significantly less appealing, indeed." Alyssa takes pause for a second and her tone turns a little frantic. "Wait, Mirri is taking this test? And could easily die? Why would anyone do that?" Alyssa considers going to find her and say something to stop her. Something, anything, but she has really only had one brief conversation with Mirri and Alyssa probably wouldn't be able to sway her. With a sigh of resignation, Alyssa calms down and goes back to a more favorable topic. "Oh, well. I suppose there isn't anything we can do, now is there. Except for maybe fixing you up. The crimson cloak sounds quite nice. I'm thinking some gold trim around the bottom maybe? Are there any symbols that represent you at all? Something that is reminiscent of home or this group. Does this group have a name? Because if not, we should." Her words are almost too quick to follow, speaking with the speed of a sportsball announcer and the finesse of a master wordsmith.
  20. Alyssa looks at Jun curiously. "God Eater test? You mean to become like one of the guys kicking ass against the Aragami? That sounds amazing! Do you know where it is?"
  21. Alyssa stares endlessly into her paintbrush as she takes a moment and just thinks. Finally, thoughts of the past become tiresome and she looks up at the other people, although for some, calling them people might be a stretch, and examines them. The tall silent one, the girl hotter than a roaring flame, the wild looking forest girl, and the odd little human girl. Not many choices for conversation here. Just as Alyssa gets up to go and greet one of them, a familiar face walks in, Jun. She takes a seat and is almost immediately greeted by Alyssa. "I see you have made it back here. There seem to be significantly fewer people in here than there were when I left. Do you know where they went? And I'm thinking slightly tattered crimson cloak with faded patches. It would really fit the vibe of this place. I might have to make myself something too, other than the pile of armor over there."
  22. Alyssa gets back to the rest of the group and looks around, hoping to get to know some of the other people she will be working with. Everyone seems..... busy. Or not here. Instead she finds a seat and tries to think about what in her life led to her getting here. She wasn't all that special except for her exceptional use of paints and brief undercover work. She used to have a photographic memory when she was younger. But that faded a while ago, probably because of disuse. Maybe she could find it again. Alyssa spends a little time trying to analyze scenes that she looked at a while ago, reteaching herself a lost skill. After far too long, she realizes that she doesn't even remember the color of the bus. So much for artistic infallability.
  23. Hmm. The girl seemed nice. Oh well. Alyssa figures that nothing else around here is going to be particularly helpful. She spends a while walking around the facility, looking for anything amiss to no avail. (12 v 1) Resigned to the fact that this place isn't like home, isn't just a cover for something more sinister, although genetic modification isn't exactly innocent, Alyssa heads back to the rooms where the group is and removes the guard armor for the time being.
  24. Alyssa looks over to Frigus and gives a slight nod of appreciation. Seems like a decent enough fellow, but his clothing says it all. Cold but a hero type nonetheless. Though the armor could go for a little more "pizzaz" factor. While Frigus finds whatever he is looking for in the bus, Alyssa turns to the engineer girl and whispers with a wistful tone, "So, these guys seem pretty decent. Do you ever want to just get off this planet and explore? I was around when the higher ups were interrogating them and turns out they had never even seen an Aragami until today. Wouldn't that be nice. And this place," Alyssa gestures at the building, "isn't exactly a paradise." Alyssa looks at the girl, searching for any sign of misgivings or doubts about the officials here.
  25. "I'm Alyssa, pleasure to meet you." This person certainly got right to the point. Alyssa figures she can figure out his name later. Right now, there was someone looking at the bus that seemed good for a conversation. She walks up and tries to be as guard-like as possible "Did you find anything of interest?" A direct approach is probably the best way to talk to the girl.
