"We have hostiles! Agian!" At least these looked like they could be fought in melee. Since they were carrying spears, they would have to get close. "Hey snow, mind if use the new sword for this fight? I want to see how well it works." "Go right ahead. Im curious myself to see how well it works" Leo draws the red glass sword raising a hand (and it) to the sky Leo once agian begins casting his preferred attack spell, Whipping up a wind around him and sending it out in a wave against the assault as he brings down his arm. An unneeded motion, but movement was both habit, and an assistance to his concentration. After doing so, he decides to give them one chance to leave, since they had shown intelligence. "There is more Where that came from, Be on your way or die!" Blizzard wind. Due to the combination of the arm mounted computer, and machine synergy leo gains 4 res Frostbrute will grab and throw any harpy that gets to close back at its friends with superstrength. Loadout Frostbrute

Leo looked at toshrio "There were no obvious traps, so I opened it. And now we have an idea of what we might be able to expect at similar structures. Meaning we can take steps to counter them. I would rather trigger one or two traps, and learn what they are, then spend an hour looking for traps that might not exist. Which we now know they do." The ore Jun found was interesting, having a different effect then the last chunk of platinum ore he had worked with. A different composition, or a magitrope? Worth looking at later. Mmmm what would they use it for? "Platinum is great if you need to generate electricity. All you really need to power a small railgun is a piece of the stuff and some fluid with mana in it. Like blood or juice. Its a precious metal as well, so its good if you need to break an enchantment, or totally re-attune mana to lightning. I could do lots of things with it, talk with me when we get back and ill try and come up with some ideas. Right now I need to find the source of whatever mechanism alters the gravity here." First he checks the mana type of the metals making up the building. Levitation which maintains a distance from the earth relative to the provided power. Could be what's holding the island up? both the blue and yellow substances seemed to be the same thing, but changed appearances based on shape? Interesting. But not exactly the same thing as flipping gravity. He checks the chest and the walls, but finds nothing. Maybe if he.... Leo goes and sits on the floor, bringing up his computer. Hard light forms above it, as he navigates to a set of notes, which he begins to look over. Syllables and associated effects scroll across the screen, along with diagrams and detailed writings. "Your going to try and get it working now?" "If i can just get it to hold together and properly relay the data back to me, I can use it to scan the building, and the chest the trigger was bound to." He gets to work on... something. From what those listening can tell its some sort of scanning spell that allows him to analyze physical and magical structure, And detect energy flow and other such things within an object. He keeps alternating between talking to snow about lines and sounds and structure, and muttering under his breath at gathered mana. ...........Eventualy, he apparently gets it working, And he seems pretty happy about it... Up until he fails to find what hes looking for. The spell washes over the building and chest, causing them to glow faintly. Leo has his eyes closed, so as to concentrate wholly on the data he is receiving. He feels the structure of the spell as it maps out the chest and building, the way it bends and twist. The magic in contact with it. Over all, the chest and building were simple in there construction. But Those weren't what he cared about. What he was looking for was the object or system that had selectively inverted gravity in response to the opening of the chest. and it was THERE. The readings he got back from the spell confirmed it, but he couldent get a bead on where exactly it was. So he started striping layers of the wall, floor, and ground, looking for it. And found nothing. Eventualy his search takes him outside of the building, wandering around the island. By this point hes looking less then pleased, but he does notice some dense, solid cloud stuff of some kind, which he takes. Eventualy he gets fed up with the search and decides he is ready for the next island. On the bright side, through all that he gained quite a bit of the metallic material and some interesting solid cloud stuff. And the golems had finished there work. But he seems ready to go loot even the chest itself, and go find more islands
-
Leo meanwhile, stepped inside with toshrio, took one look around. And then instantly opened the chest.... And the pair was promptly thrown into the ceiling as gravity flipped. "G-Gravity magic?!" For a moment Leo had the faintest edge of fear in his voice, as some old memory came flashing back. but it was gone a second later as he stood up, and found his footing on the sloped ceiling. "Selective gravity magic. Look" "Huh?...Oh..." The gravity change had effected Leo and toshrio, but not there possessions, Leo's hood still dropped downwards. Not particularly bothered by the effect now that the surprise had passed, Leo simply used shape solid to create a ladder between the floor and ceiling. He climbed down, and flipped the chest Agian...and promptly lost his grip on the ladder and fell on his head. "Owww" He sat up rubbing his head, and looked in the chest. Gold coins (which he tested, and promptly marked as T-gold) and a ....glass sword of some kind? It had interesting results when he tested mana on it at least. "The gold is useful magically. Its not like the normal stuff. so ill take a few." Eventualy, jun came in, and leo and toshrio both identified it as some form of native platinum ore Leo claims 10 of the gold coins and the sword. Leaveing the rest for the others Leo send the two mineing golems he brought to get the ore jun found

Leo crossed his arms, looking at the stream of lighting being shot into the sky. "It seems to have absorbed the lightning into itself, its become structured into some kind of enchantment. Nice. You can hang on to it if you like." Leo picks up the staff and rolls it over in his hands. Applying a bit of energy, hes pleased to find a lightning bolt being discharged. "Ill look over this some more when i have the time. For now, lets resume our mission" Leo turns back to the controls, and starts looking around
-
Its about at this time that issac comes in. "Ha! Now its my turn to....wait is it over already?" His shoulders droop and he sighs "Guess thats what i get for trying to be clever"
-
"Oh come on! It heals?!" "Speaking of heals...." "Right, Right im on it" Leo makes a scratch on his arm, Drawing a little blood, and directs mana through it, sending said mana to juns wounds. Then he points some at himself. It seems to work well enough, jun looks fine, and hes feeling a little better. The scratch on his arm heals up rather nicely. "There, that should by some time, lets see if i can disrupt it!" Leo pulls a weatherlight hull shard from his pocket, a shard of thran metal. He attunes his mana, and forms it into sevreal lances. The silvery projections float next to him for a moment, a few on each side, before he throws his arm forward, and points at his target. Instantly the projections race forward through the air, on course to tear right through the cloud, and more importantly, the magic inside it. Leo, using the free action granted by jun heals jun for 7 HP, spending five mana Leo, using the free action granted by Channel's level two effect, heals himself for 7 HP, spending five mana Leo using his action, sends lances of reflect mana at the cloud, spending four mana. Stone heart just lacerates agian. Yelling something about how this dident seem very effective.
-
Leo smirked, blizzard wind seemed to be highly effective against this thing, at least compared to its usual performance. Well then, it was time to put in some actual effort. Leo begins to cast the spell again, gathering extra power, to give the spell more kick. Bigger....colder.... The magic shifts and becomes structured under the weight of his words, until it erupts into a great frigid wind, which leo directs around his team mates, and sends crashing into the massive cloud. Leo uses blizzard wind, with an additional 10 mana to give it some more kick. Stoneheart kinda just keeps doing its thing
-
"Oh no not THIS thing again!" "Well its got a grip on the ship, sooo...try not to die." Electricity would likely do nothing to it, nor did leo wish to risk getting shocked by slashing at it unless he had to. Wind maybe? "Frostbrute, stay back! Stone heart, you should be able to resist its electricity, use your shards!" Stone heart shifts into a humanoid form, and throws out its "arm" sending out shards to tear into the living cloud, as leo begins to cast his spell. Words and sounds rolling off his tongue quickly and clearly. Leo gets a res bonus from his computer, this bonus is further increased by machine synergy. Leo gets a bonus against weather effects and ageing effects, Leo attacks with blizzard wind Stoneheart attacks with lacerate, hurling shards forwards to tear through the cloud.

Leo shrugs, "Apparently some army of goblins, I would ask the others back in town for more information. As for the islands, I was hopeing there might be good resources or something up there. They might be kept aloft by some variety of gravity defying substance, which of course could have many uses in various devices, structures, vehicles, and weapons. And this land is supposed to have artifacts from an old civilization scattered around as well, so who knows what we could find." Leo ignores the dead body, assumeing that by go 'Go against me' the large orc was referring to some act of treachery. After all who would send someone who kills underlings for no good reason to a mission to protect the multiverse? Leo nods at rivers when she appears and ask to come along. "The more the merrier" Leo starts to step onto the ship, waiting at the threshold for the others.
-
"Ah, a new party member. Im leo, me and my friends here were about to go to some floating islands. But if your not inclined to join us, im sure the rest of our number would be willing to get you up to speed back in the village. Our current mission is to prepare for, and fend off, an incoming siege." Leo dosent really point out the long list of titles or the unsmooth movement of his hand. Hes was just glad to have a conversation hook he could latch onto at the moment. Though he might want to take a look at the mechanical arm later.

Lilly winces at all the grinding the massive machine makes. And it dident seem to recognize the danger it was in. But maybe if she could use voice.... Now voicing things that weren't organic was a curious thing. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it dident. The basic rules were known. A target had to have an appropriate level of intelligence. And they had to be "alive" in some sense of the word. What this meant varied. it could mean free will, or emotion, or even something like representing something that was alive or connected to life. (Greater elementals could sometimes fall into that.) But even then, it would often fail for no disconcernable reason. Luckily for Lilly, Whatever qualities the massive machine possessed, it was enough for her voice to reach. Unfortunately for Lilly, the usual translation effect failed to kick in. And as the machine both operated in binary, and at much greater speeds then Lilly was used to working with, the untranslated data raced through her mind faster then she could comprehend, even if she had been able to understand binary to begin with. She recoiled and cut the link as a seemingly endless stream of numbers slammed against the inside of her skull. "Owowowowowowowowow!" She holds her head with a hand and looks up at the party. "My magic considers this machine alive. I don't know why EXACTLY. But if it does, healing magic should work....But its soooo massive...."

Issac relays what little information he has, then looks for the main room, looking to see if there is anyway to get above the enemy's without them noticing. Like a chandelier he can jump onto.

Leo now having a design figured out heads out and finds some old stone bricks laying around, and gets to work on them shaping them in a few different small forms, and having frostbrute carry them back to his table. From there he gets started on the functions, and programming. Freezeing water and his last healing potion, casting eternal ice on the former, In addition to some normally cold ice, he also creates negative K eternal ice, and rigs it so one of the golems can use it to fire plasma blast. He also includes his eater bone shard, and a chip of ruby. Then of course there was the iron. This project called for quite a lot of iron and made quite a dent in his supply. "Make sure the track works right...." The collapsible ring, the force field generator slid in and out of itself easily. Soon enough, he had all the parts just like he wanted them, and started programming. Laying the enchantments and createing his new assistants. Before finally... "The units are online and fully functional." "Combine" The golems Clamor over each other. Protection acts as the torso, while disposal forms two right arms, by attaching to protection's arm. Its "Eye" looking directly down at its somewhat spindly manipulators. Protection keeps its more humanoid left arm, recovery latches onto the legs, using its own to increase the standing height. Its box now about where the hips would be. Prevention is above that, clinging to the back, where is basicly acts as a glorified mount for the force field ring. monitor latches on to the top and acts as the over all "head" of the creation. Leo steps back to admire his work. "Dosent that seem a little unnecessary?" Leo simply shrugs. Before moveing on to his next project. He still has time, and would like to get this done before the afternoon. Its a bit of a rush to get the stone together and do the programming, but before you know it, he has a small work force of twenty humanoid golems with boxes on there backs, and iron pick shaped claws on there hands. Leo then promptly Sends Half of them to Satomi 8 of the remaining ten are then sent to gather Stone, gems, and metal for him. With no particular orders on what kinds to grab. The reaming two, stay by his side for later.
-
Leo looks up from his mumbling and calls after satomi as she leaves, "Ill send some mineing drones to you later, should be handy" before typing a few more things. Apparently satisfied he puts his arm down, the computer going back to sleep, and turns to toshrio. "I have things to work on, can you give the sword to jun?"
-
"Good Idea. Mmm might also help prevent any mishap with other things to...Something portable?" Leo brings up his computer and starts typing something as a keyboard made of hard light appears for him. "A collapsible force field generator is a good start, and something to get rid of anything that goes wrong..." He continues to mutter to himself while snow turns to the dryad. "Sorry about him, Hes as thick as he is curious. I think he already has plans for today, but tommrow, could you maybe see about teaching him more about the magic you use to counter the corruption? If hes going to be working with the stuff, Its a good idea to have a counter measure, and it might help him keep whatever he DOES make stable."
-
"I assume the remaining ignots of this metal should also be fine to work with? You know, as long as we don't design it to spread the dark magic everywhere?" "Hey don't forget the vision." "Oh right. toshrio had some kinda vision. Ill let him talk to you about it, we figured you might know something"
-
"Yeah, I was just about to go looking for you. See toshrio and I made this sword" He holds up the object in question. "But Satomi freaked out, because shes worried about the sword's magic. We made it from an alloy that toshrio made from the two metals from the Giant eye, and some stuff jun gave him. Now my pelimary test suggested it LACKED a corruptive influence, but in the interest of calming her down, and verifying its not going to throw corruption and crimson everywhere when we take it to some other world, we were going to ask you to take a look and see what you think." Leo then describes the effect of the metal, compared to what he found testing the other ignots, and how it reacts when struck. Along with explaining the magic he put into it and what it does.
